From his Psychic Shielding sig ability, you know theyre about to release a nasty defender with reverse controls to the contest soon

    Would that be new?
A tag being added as part of a sig? Yes.
Now, psychic shielding barely has any benefits on its own as theres so many reverse control mechanics where it won't help you. So there has to be a reason why they put it, it cant just be for show. Hence i suspect it being for a future defender

He does have a damage cap, but it doesn’t work vs special 3s

So I can use sp3 cycle with red mags and he is bleed immune so big dmg.

He looks like a tank in defense with 90% cowardice during specials. And on attack it seems like you're better letting the disintegration expire on own instead of using a special attack.

I like him but seems a champ that needs sigs but love the special locks or cowardice as say apoc or bishop u want sp2 u can like he has some cool stuff that i really like

I think unconventional cosmic like Gladiator, Vox would work great against Zola. He seems to me like a 5/5 defender.

Cassandra Nova is my guess, as she’s mutant so it will benefit Zola on the class advantage. I could see her with Reverse Controls.

The Heavy -> Sp2 is gonna be a real
pain based on the AI, gonna need some skill.

His walking animation is 10/10 though 😂

He doesnt seem that hard at all as a defender only tough part id say is the cowardice being 90%

Ish. He applies a 90% cowardice and cannot have his ability accuracy modified, so magnetism isn’t gonna turn it off. I don’t think you’ll see the like 600,000 damage sp3 kind of numbers.

But, those armor breaks do linger, so your basic attacks should do tremendous damage after the sp3. I’d say parry or relic stun before throwing the sp3, then go in with basics. Wont be as effective, but should still be good numbers.

Or what u do is u go silk no specials and just nuke him with raw damage lol

He'll be tanky defender for sometime but in any future power shield meta he will be a literal nightmare.

He gains ESP charges when struck and has a chance to inflict sleep if you hit him while above 20. You can heavy to remove charges, but that’s gonna be difficult when he has the same non-contact first medium and light attack that Onslaught does (which, I imagine, will also make attempts to use Magneto much worse since you can’t reliably parry him to charge heavy). I’m a little skeptical of the 5/5 defender rating he has on his champ spotlight, but he certainly doesn’t look like a pushover, especially with all his stall mechanics.

His cowardice is passive in defense.

    90 % cowardice go brrr
Ah missed it. Magneto is gone then, gladiator should work great.

I think Arnim Zola’s damage is a bit better than people are giving credit for. In the deep dive at about 2:15, we see a 6* Zola start chaining heavies against a full health ROL Wolverine and by the time he finishes sp2 Wolverine was nearly dead. That means maybe about 350k damage with class advantage, and that clip was an unduped Zola who doesn’t get the extra burst damage when the disintegrations expire (doesn’t seem like a very big burst but it’s still extra damage). I wouldn’t write off his damage potential just yet

Chavez will be slow, he doesn't have many buffs and her dmg comes from specials.

So the burst is just extra damage then, the big damage comes from the damage over time
