We have survived though hours of random server downs which were not scheduled maintenance. War fights and last minute AQ....
    Good ol days.

Bring back server crashes again! 👀

These new guys just don’t understand the type of **** we had to go through. I remember the compensation being crazy around those times as well.

Hello. Just found this thread while checking in on something else, so these are some thoughts just off the top of my head.

First, I completely agree with you about our monthly content. We have been investing a lot of resources into addressing this, including working on some new large systems that are designed to not only get us where we need to be, but make sure we never fall behind like this again. I don't know when these things will be done but they are actively being worked on by one of our largest teams. It means the resources that would be used to catch up are being spent to catch up AND get ahead, hopefully forever. But I understand in the meantime it's very frustrating.

Second, one thing I think a lot of players don't consider is that most live service games take their games offline for a few hours every week to do maintenance. We update the game while it's live. It is ABSOLUTELY not OK for the game to be broken for weeks like it was last build, I am not saying that is OK. However, when something happens like today you need to ask: would you rather some crystals disappear for a few hours or the game be offline for a few hours? That's really the tradeoff we are making.

thank you for the response, truthfully I’m glad you could take time to see this thread. I’m happy to hear there’s work being done on EQ, thanks for that.

also why don’t you guys reconsider the maintenance things we used to have ? I remember having them somewhat often, and it kept the game smoother. seems like a good idea to bring it back. Why overload yourselves with doing maintenance the game while it’s live, instead of doing it while it’s not and while not maybe people are on? Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t you guys know when the playerbase is mostly offline ?

Thank you @Kabam Crashed for taking the time to respond. I appreciate you always taking the time to do so, and I know that it isn't your direct responsibility to do it. Regardless, that's why I have the utmost respect for you and all you do and communicate to the community.

If anything, I wish that we got communication more frequently and often and if you could pass that along maybe it will happen. I know you don't have to, but we'd appreciate it.

If the game went down for 1-3 hours every Tuesday like in the past, I'd be fine with that as long as it fixed the bugs and issues we have for a month at a time always.

I also play Rust on PC and that is a game that's been around longer than MCOC and has Monthly updates and new content the first Thursday of every month without going down. They also release hotfix updates all the time throughout the month as things come up. I mention this because with MCOC coming to STEAM/PC, This is the expectations of PC/STEAM players and if this is how it is happening with the way things have been when on PC, that community won't be near as forgiving as us.

    Just wanted to share respectfully.

I'd be more than okay with the game being down for 2-3 hours of maintenance weekly IF problems were truly resolved, things updated.

hr did, he told you to use cups and teaspoons. Which is idiotic, how full do you fill the cup? How densely packed is the butter supposed to be in the cup? How big a cup?

Metric measures in baking are just better.

Hel, metric is just better all around, and that's from a Brit who still tells people he's six foot one and weighs about 12 stone.

The update has been out for less than 3 hours. They already fixed the visual bug with the crystals. And yet here you are crying doom upon the game. Relax. Some of yall really need to take a chill pill and go outside once in a while.

while the recent update did spark a idea to post a thread like this, it was more about the games state as a whole
My point stands. Relax. The game is doing fine. Anyone that's been around for a whole knows the first 2 months after banquet are slow. Always been that way. But if you really really feel that way, why continue to play? Plenty of people find the game fine as is. And more join daily. Games gonna be allright.
I continue to play in the hope it gets better, and yes while the first couple months post banquet aren’t the best, the game has been like this for a long while before banquet begun
Don’t bother with them, if they have thousands of forum posts, they’ll be quick to write same messages to every message criticizing the state of the game. They’re also pretty much the same people. You’ll get to know their names rather quickly. They are also the ones damaging the game the most because they try to skew the sentiment people have about the game. I agree with everything you said. I don’t play the game as often as I used to after banquet, yet still check out forums once in a while to see if things will change for the better.

with the recent update, the game has been….less then enjoyable. Yet this isn’t the first time something like this has occurred, there has been uncountable bugs, glitches, and things that just don’t make sense over the last year, and yet kabam wont listen to their playerbase.

instead of fixing the mobile game, and making sure it’s running smooth, they release a PC version, which almost nobody asked for, and it’s simply to bring in more money, yet the game itself isn’t even enjoyable as much so who wants to play on PC ? If the games not good, what is moving it to a computer gonna do ?

Kabam fails to listen to their playerbase, they fail to provide the highest rank of player with the highest rank of reward, they fail to update parts of the game that are meant to be updated monthly, this is in regards to the EQ, its the same thing EVERY month, thronebreaker difficulty was released like 2 years ago, and now there’s a whole 2 progressions past it. The side quest is all about mysterioum now, I remember when it used to be a unique thing and only every now and then would a store come into play, yet now we have the traders outpost that doesn’t even get updated ?

Yet not all is bad, they updated the sigil ( which costs money ) they also had the 10 reveals from December, which most were good , introducing 60fps, reworking the backgrounds, and reworking champions, yet even their most successful event ( the banquet ) fell shy of being good. They also released the DSE without a time limit, which is great, yet even already the rewards are feeling a bit stale between the limited attack boosts, and the small fragments of t4a

at this point, the game isn’t even being upheld properly anymore, yes I’m sure there’s much that goes on behind the scenes, but what happens when that gets released and is bugged too? I’m sure making a game is hard, but it’s been 10 YEARS, and you guys still can’t find a proper way to keep the game together..?

It's like saying if u fumble some words or have a typo while typing something - u are typing & saying for over 10 years & still u can't talk or type proper 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He already used cup measurements, for people too 'free' to actually measure things properly.

But I have to love the irony of someone calling Imperial measurements 'freedom'... 🤣

Definitely a plus 1 for brining back the maintenance/server down method if it reduces the bugs. 2-3 hours without the game is better than 2-3 weeks with bugs.

We been asking for a lot of things to be updated.

Is there roadmap and timeline for these things?

A lot of things have been left in the dark..

But the game already having another “big” sale next week.

It took this long to finally get pity system for crystals
200…. ($2000 worth $ or units) is way to much and just how greedy things have gotten a long with big sales every other month.

Big “changes” like Sigil have goten a lot of negative feedback aswel

While content like for end game players is fun and spending in the game is optional and spenders will spend but there also need to be balance.

I feel like I’m just running into more stacked rosters in battlegrounds as decks become filled with all r3’s and grinding arena for units.

While nothing crazy or exciting is happening for monthly event quest and side quest.

We just want other areas of the game to be updated.

How long has valiant been around ?

It’s been out for awhile and rewards have fallen off crazy and now we can already buy t7b next week for units/cash!?

I feel like it’s just setting up for another title progression before 4th july for even… bigger sales

I know we complain alot here but we just want the game to thrive.

Taking the game offline for a few hours was never a problem before so I'm not sure why it would be a problem now. I'm sure player can find something to do for 2-3 hours while the game is down for maintenance.

For some it was due to alliance quest or wars due to the down time happening then

I remembered they would always send an in-game mail telling everyone that the game would be down during certain times. Alliances need to plan accordingly. But I get what you're saying because people live in different time zones.

I truthfully don’t know where that idea came from. I was talking about how kabam doesn’t really care much for Mcoc as much these days, why would they be trying to kill a game for 10 years and fail for 10 years ?

I truthfully don’t know where that idea came from. I was talking about how kabam doesn’t really care much for Mcoc as much these days, why would they be trying to kill a game for 10 years and fail for 10 years ?
wasn't referring to you specifically but to the general community and how they think the game's been dying since launch lol.

with the recent update, the game has been….less then enjoyable.

Yeah why should u do effort for becoming valiant. When TB and Paragon players gets the same ammount of rewards thats the most stupid thing in the whole game if you ask me. EQ should already have atleast paragon difficulty or valiant after 2 years. Paragon gauntlet should be replaced with the rank you are in the game not sticking with paragon. The game is evolving to fast and kabam can’t keep up with that it seems

Who is this we that complains alot? It's really only a small handful. Yourself included big time in that group.

Everytime there issue or something happening in the game it’s always posted in general.

Whats there to cheer about lately?

Spenders will spend on valentines sake
(People will complain deals are bad)

    Another update that’s bugged
    (Not suprised)

Outdated rewards in general throughout the game
(It’s been in the “works” apparently)

Sigil update took away trading potions and other things that we like.
(They didn’t bother keeping potions trade up or gold for boost trade ins)

    Anything else?

I’m also ima call it before it comes out

The end game content will be bugged when release lol.

Serious question here, if your bothered by all that all the time, why do you continue to play? Perhaps you need to do some self evaluation.
