To be completely honest I'd rather see Original Angel drop with Cyclops than Jean.
I feel like an OG angel would lose all that's great about AA.
If they do add OG Angel, they should make him the exact opposite of AA. So while AA deals most of his damage through lots of debuffs, Angel should primarily gain buffs to deal damage instead

What would his synergy with Archangel be like? Also OG Angel should deal damage on special and basic hits, via furies and prowess contrast to Archangel's dot (and lack of prowess)

Idk but prominent mutants usually came together, like sinister and havok, prof x and apocalypse, toad and sauron. Since most mutants have interlinked story, this makes sense.
