The Eidols from the moment i saw them seemed like the designers are trying too hard, there's no subtlety to them , they're trying to fit wayy too much into a model. Worst of all they don't even look like legitimate champs, they look AI Generated.
Is it just me that finds them sticking out like a sore thumb among other champs?

I think they’re ok but they are a little overdesigned. Personally I’m neutral on their existence as of now
Art team has always been on point, I don’t think they’d break from a formula that’s always worked without good cause. And I think the visual storytelling is that cause.
But I think there are more serious things to be concerned about in the game right now than how the Eidols look. .
Tho on the topic of overdesigning, I think there's a brewing issue there since I also noticed Cyclops is a bit too complex than he should be for no reason
But regardless, there’s still good and bad. The latest Eidol looks like a set of random pieces of kind of techy, kind of mystical, nonsense. When I look at a character, I want their design to tell me something about them. I don’t get anything from the eidol designs except — as someone put it in another thread — Final Fantasy rejects.
They look like designs in search of a story / character.
I don't like their designs, I don't care to chase them, and I wish their slots were going to Polaris or Daken or Spider-Woman or Nico Minoru instead. But that's just my own personal opinion. I don't find it to be a "flaw" in the game or am pissed at Kabam or anything - in fact, I love that they're having fun flexing their muscles creating characters for the lore of their own game. It's just not for me.
There will always be something we don't like, and there will always be that one person beginning for that one thing they love ("Pls add Thrasher" guy). I cried (mostly to myself) about how crappy Phoenix was and how we haven't had a proper Jean Grey in ten years. Now, not only did I get one wish answered, I shockingly got both.
I think there are right and justified things to be upset about (bugs, AI, design issues, monetary tactics) and things that we just should let go and move past. Now, if the game trends in this Eidol-type character for the future, that's something to address be vocal about. But it's their 10 year anniversary and they're adding what, four of these? I don't love it but I'm just going to focus my energy on other things.

They hyped isophyne so much I don’t see anyone using her let alone r3 or r4 lol.
Like who still uses and plays with isphyne?
I thought people would put her on defence cause of the fractured power power (random specials) and wonky animations but I can't really spot that many of them, idk if it's cause of the meta and a good meta might make her shine but rn she's mid

I’m in the minority that really likes the design of the new Eidol, they look really cool, however I’ve never had an interest in them, for me it was more of a disappointment when we wasn’t getting a proper champion to conclude 2024, and I see them repeating the same for December 2025.
I’d rather have a more less known champion (I guess like Gentle or Dust, don’t take offence to that lovers of those characters) than any of the eidols if I’m being honest.
I’m not mad at original characters, but to hype a champion like Isophyne, and to be worse than expected, it’s a bit unfortunate. Cheelith is a great example, good concept, good execution. If I’m being honest the executed the Eidols poorly, if Isophyne was fantastic, our attitudes would be different, but I have no hype for the remaining Eidols, and I’ll be more dissapointed they’ve taken a spot of a champion we need, cough cough Cloak and Dagger etc etc
