This is kind of funny imo, just saw that you can use CVS gift cards to make purchases on the MCOC webstore.
I actually have a $50 CVS giftcard from I don't even know when and I don't plan on using it.
Should I buy the Jean Gray bundle? It's only a 0.20% chance to get a 7 star, but I'll get six cracks at it!

    Yeah, but I really want JG and feel lucky for whatever reason... Just need to find that gift card and burn it on horrible RNG. You only live once I guess, unless you have death immunity...

    Now you know why you can pay your social security debt, anti virus renewal, microsoft support and extended car warranty with Target and bEst Buy gift cards.
    Joking aside I find it extremely weird that a transaction processing site will take 3rd party gift cards.

    I guess Xsolla has a pretty extensive partnership network with other payment processors. I don't think it actually manages retailer gift cards, but it must have agreements with the companies that do.

    There is a black market of gift cards related to scams, not saying they are scamming; but they are not helping.

    If I had a gift I'd use it, but probably on the Platinum Track due to value, but that is just me.

    My guess is the reason they accept CVS gift cards is because they have a relationship with CVS to allow CVS to process cash transactions for them. If you attempt to buy something from xSolla with “cash” they will direct you to a payment partner where you can take an emailed invoice and pay at the register. I know CVS is one of those partners, and 7-11 is another one (I tested these forms of transactions when the store first released to see how they work and what the failure modes were).
