I still don't understand how the portals were a problem, they were one way, there wasn t any chance to go somewhere else by accident, yet ppl wanted them out, ok, thus they gave kabam a way to "fix" something that was minor and not troubling at all, and say "we listened" afterwards. This is all on you portal haters.
The main issues with the portals is that you can't see what order the fights are in and it made planning them out harder. And while they only go one way you still need to click on them to see what section is next and that's just very unnecessary.

Ok, but this still is a 3 seconds job, people were also wanted some sort of health recharge, even just one time in the middle of the whole path. Guess what kabam chose to "listen to"....oh, we already know that.

They got rid of pottals by the 2nd time they run the other version of Valiant EQ, it has nothing to do with this terrible new one.

there is technically a health refill station, the second time you fight a boss (the third time you switch champs in the quest. ) you can take one counter for thr boss and just put 2 random lowest rarity champs in the other slots that have less health, after you switch you can use a lvl one health pot to refill their health to full. and you get to immediately switch after the second boss again so i guess that is how its intended to be used

I really haven t thought of that, thanks for the idea!
Whoever designed this month's quest needs to stay away for good. Quest 4 boggles my mind like where the hell am I gonna get 33 techs who heal block? Like seriously we don't even have that much. 🤦♂️

you dont need all heal block champs, Armour breaks or just gotta have despair with tons of debuffs, idk what kind of interactions are going on but champs like lady death strike, iron heart and others that just stack a bunch of debuffs trigger the heal reversal which the node turns into a heal block, besides tech has a lot of nukes you don't need to utilise the nodes every fight
Just finished exploring. I liked the format from first 3 quests but last 3 quests were unnecessarily long and tedious needing to finish 2 paths. Also found last month’s version too long as well due to number of fights required.
I don’t like this format quest at all… I like the format before even if it was 15 fights it was straightforward, fighting again the boss so many times is annoying, healing a (1) champion is easy, healing three is expensive. There are so many modes in this game and you have to make one of the most easier in terms of understanding into something more complicated.
Done the first 3 quests in this months Valiant EQ… kinda quite enjoyed it, something different, shortened the number of fights from the previous loooong Valiant EQ paths, so I thought yeah this is a decent improvement.
Then I got to the 4th quest… and the 5th quest … OMG Kabam, why why why.!?? 28 fights for each of the last 3 quests!? C’mon you need to strike the balance right here… the 4th, 5th and 6th quests in this Valiant EQ suck a$$! So tedious and that many fight with restrictive champs… meh… not liking it. First 3 quests good… last 3 quests baaad!
The first two months of the Valiant EQ were actually enjoyable and the rewards were spot on. But this month? I don’t know why it was modified but it sucked. Not fun at all. My thought is that Kabam was hoping to squeeze some $$ out of us by increasing the difficulty. Well, you failed, kind sirs. But your changes were lame and unnecessary. Pull you heads out of your fourth points of contact and leave good content alone, you greedy snot slugs.
First 2 Valiant EQs were better. We're fighting the same boss way too much, (once each quest should suffice) and the final 2 chapters, why 2 paths? Granted, I completely it whilst still bug filled, but, still a major downgrade. I was eager and excited to do Valiant EQ upon introduction, but this month, my interest has drastically lessened.
This new valiant event quest is in my opinion very depressing from a gameplay perspective the three team feels like an added waste of resources. Encouraging more item use to artificially inflate difficulty rather than making the fights feel interesting or fun at all to play. It feels like a shameless and disgusting grab at players units and resources. My disappointment increases after today's showcase stream saying that next month will essentially be the same. Hopefully they will see the negative feedback and go back to v1 or v2 and make the fights shorter and respectful of players time and resources. This game can be the best experience but this path is not it and I hope once next month is over we can go back to a smoother experience. Thank you for your time and I wish you all a good day.
I am not happy at all and many gamers why I have to beat 3 time a boss every single chpt and more lines really? ..make it more boring and pressing many things to do this game event quest should be short fun and easier..
I didn’t mind the two paths that much. I struggled with Annihilus and almost quit there, but honestly after figuring it out, the second path is easy, just have to do it again. If you struggle with a particular boss, fighting them 6 times could get expensive—no one likes that.
I didn’t start this EQ until Thursday (7/31) because of all the negative buzz I’ve seen online & in forum. Done today, a few revives, the low-lvl swap at each single boss node, and some arena grinding to get and practice against High Evolutionary.
There are some fights that are challenging, especially learning how to play against the new bosses. But like all champs, you can find good counters if you test champs knowing you might be starting fresh to avoid wasting revives. Silver lining, now I know how to play against HE when he gets placed as a defender 800 times in next month’s BG.
We are Valiant players. We got here by learning through practice (or spending a lot of money). Either way, this is fundamentally “doable” content. Not to mention, it is rare to obtain T7B and that alone made it worth the effort.
NGL, this was easier and less stress than the first 2 months, fighting the boss as the 3rd fight let me know what I was dealing w later, the opportunity to swap in 1* and and give em a small health pot was dope, using 2 classes was nice as well cause I wasn't confident in the depth of some of my classes
