Should they keep putting Hyperion on ridiculous power gain nodes?

I'm really tired of him being put on 200% power gain and where drains just don't effect him

    Get to Baiting.

As long as hyp is aggressive, I see no problem in kicking his ass.

Also, mephisto helps curb his power gain.

But should he have a 3 bar in 10 seconds? No time to bait him

    Which node is this?

there's one in act 5.3 on the science level i believe where he's on power reserve and cornered and he goes down no problem. I use Gwen Pool duped all day long and just cut him up.

get used to seeing hyperion on powergain. you'll see it forever in wars in quests, in event quests. just be patient and bait. get your hits in then.

    Yes
OG Vision (Yes, I know, can only buy him)
Sparky (Yes, I know, not everyone has him)
Dormammu (Doesn't even need to get one special)
Magik (If you can bait and worst case survive one sp3 and use sp2. Or sp1 will negate power gain each time.)
Hawkeye (Not a full solution but can help)
Voodoo (not only can he convert power gain, but odd combo and he might not trigger power gain, or sp2 to drain after awhile.)
SW (Need some RNG luck for her)
Dr S (At least counterspell the power gain most of the time)

And there's probably a few others I am forgetting.

For that Hyperion, that node really helps the player.

Use a stun champ, sparky, hulk work really well. Before the Stun runs out your bk yo sp1.

Or my favourite magik, her again him.on that node is amazing, you get the sp2 and from there you just spam it.

I'm sure there's other ways around him aswell. Good luck on him

Like @PrimeSaviour_27 said just use a stun champ, even Ronan. It’s not just geared towards people who have GP or Iceman. I used Hyperion and just stun locked him and even if it didn’t stun him it would do a considerable amount of damage so he could be finished off easily

I don’t have GP or Iceman. Every pretty much has Magik by now. She is one of the best counters to Hyperion especially if you have MD. That particular Hyperion is a cake walk with Magik.

I have the luxury of an array of champs that usually walk right through him. Scarlet Witch is usually my go-to for him, but a 4/55 Blade seems to make short work of him as well.

MODOK absolutely destroys him. I know everyone doesn’t have him, but if you do then he’s your answer.

    Shouldn't Vision AoU work too?

I use and recommend SW but anyone who can tank the SP3 is an option if baiting it is too hard, you don't have a decent power control champ or he won't play ball and you get sick of "tap, tap, dash back" while he stands there like a jerk.

Hype's sp3 isn't really that good. Aside from a decent amount of damage, it's got nothing. And the damage can easily be patched up with a decent amount of regen. Same with sp2. Just make sure to block sp2 and you'll be fine.

There are quite a few solutions actually. You can bait and use one or 2 hit combos the entire fight, use a champ with reliable stun, in this particular instance both champs have increased power gain so anyone with a decent stun chance on sp1 should be able to keep him pinned. Thor did it easily every time. Others could be Ronan, Stark spidey maybe, hulk etc.

You can power lock them, Dorm and magik would do fine, psylocke would work well, Hawkeye too since he’ll have plenty sp1s available with power gain.

You can use champs that are able to tank sp3s like iceman or luke cage (exhaustion could even reverse his power gain so that he loses power with enough stacks). There really are plenty of options available, these are just a few examples. Mephisto also works as someone mentioned before, stops his normal power gain with soul imprisonment and is completely safe for at least one sp3 when his regen activates. I bet Loki would be a good counter too. Use your sp3 (you’ll get it early with the power gain) and the curse will automatically transfer his power gain to you instead. Then it’s just a matter of baiting specials.

Its 100% power gain, and BOTH champions receive this benefit, along with a special only using 1 bar of power...literally any power control champ can do the job, you must have one to be doing uncollected. However, if for some reason you do not have a power control champ, use a stun chain champ, such as Thor or Hulk. Hyp will get to his SP3 quick, but will almost never have the chance to use it being infinitely stunned (Given the RNG gods are in your favor).

the easiest node for all uncollected. did it with Magik first, but messed up a little in timing for sp2, had to use Ronan... and never brought Magik for this map anymore! Ronan, especially if awakened, is way to go. there are not so many places where you want to use him, but when it is, he is so good.
but it seems he doesn't work with all new champs, just like MD for mystic champs against all this charges
