Compensation to me is fixing what happened and making the person/people happy with how you fixed it. No one is happy with how much they have, I've honestly only seen you, DP and some other guy happy with it. When so many are unhappy it may be time to look over it again, a few more shards a potion, revives, and a 4* crystal added to what they're already giving I think would be fair and most would be happy with that. As you said there still would be some people unhappy with it though. Also with all the problems going on it would be smart to try and please your customers, not make them more pissed.
Im sure most wouldn't be happy unless it was a 5* champ. 5* awakening gem of their choice. and a rank up gem on top of that.
No doubt. There's no way people missed out on those Items within that time span. They weren't even available in any content at the time.

People got carried away, and lost sight of the fact that the point is to try and make up for what they missed while the game was down. It's impossible to make everyone happy, or make up for every specific instance. So they have to gauge as much as possible in a general way.
Then there's the fact that, and let's be honest, they're never going to make some people happy no matter what they give. These people feel they owe them beyond anything they give, and have already resigned to being dissatisfied regardless. Not everyone, of course. You just can't deny they exist. Some people will never be happy. That's a fact.

#3. They never made the mortifying announcement and subsequent retraction of the removal of defender diversity and the absurd reasoning given for the intitial plans to do so that even the blindest of sheep wouldn't be able to follow and defend. Was really hoping that could have been you.

I agree. I have been in the service industry as well for close to 20 years. It’s a very simple solution. You replace what is lost then you give a little more to make them happy and feel appreciated and want to stay around.
A couple of examples-
A messed up Big Mac order at McDonald’s. They replace the meal with a fresh made meal along with a free apple pie and then a gift card for another meal at a later date. Finish with an apology and the customer is happy and the store is out only a couple dollars.
Another example is checking into a hotel room and finding a huge issue with the shower. So they move you to a new room, comp one night on your bill and send up a free drink or meal etc. Once again the customer is happy and the company is out only a little but keeps a customer around.
It’s so simple that I can’t understand people arguing against this concept. Clearly they have never worked customer service.
