Apple Recommends to uninstall MCOC to not further damage the iPhone

I spoke with Apple Support TODAY and told them about the iPhone overheating and causing the Temperature logo to appear which reads (iPhone need to coldown before you can use it.) because MCOC is causing other apps to crash and restart without warning, and possibly damaging the housing and OLED screen to burn in. They told me that if it is a known issue it shouldn’t be used until a fix is released. I also asked if it does get damaged can it be linked to an app such as MCOC and I was told yes, which can help people make a claim to have Kabam pay for the damaged phone.

I also have transcripts of this conversation for mods if needed. Do not take down this post as it has legitimate backup from Apple Support so I would say that Kabam needs to get an update or remove the app from the AppStore until it’s fixed and it doesn’t damage any phones.cvr4l83cz5in.jpeg

Apple doesn't appear to be recommending uninstalling MCOC as your thread title suggests. It clearly shows that the Apple support person is trying not to make any specific recommendation about MCOC at all, even when prompted by you. The support person only says something I would say about any app on any phone under any operating system. If that application is known to overheat the device, I would recommend using the application for shorter periods of time or not at all.

    This is not news.

The support person is telling you to stop playing the game, so do that, and your device won't be damaged.

the support person says "if an application is known to do so" it means including MCOC which is causing heating problem AT THIS TIME so , I would recommend using the application (MCOC) for shorter periods of time or not at all.

If you Google, "iOS 11 overheating" you'll find many complaints about battery drain and overheating. The Wikipedia page for iOS 11 even stats that "In addition to battery drains, some iPhone users noticed their devices having excessive heat buildup". While this may have started with the last update, it is most likely an issue on Apple's end and the game team should probably get in contact with them.
