Imagine this, a few months ago, @Kabam Anonymous broke @Kabam Miike 's window while they were playing the company softball game at his place.
A few weeks later, it was @Kabam Miike's birthday, and everyone brought him gifts. @Kabam Anonymous brought him a window. @Kabam Miike thanks @Kabam Anonymous for the window, and goes, so, you do know it is my birthday, right?
She goes, sure! I brought you that GIFT! @Kabam Miike but you broke the window in the first place... how is this a gift? @Kabam Anonymous says Oh, compensation for the broken window is included in the new window, but, it really is a gift! @Kabam Miike goes, uh-huh.
Everyone else looks at @Kabam Anonymous and shakes their heads. @Kabam Anonymous goes, what, it is a GIFT!
That about sums it up, how Kabam is treating compensation & "gifts".
So... What do you all think? I like the idea of choosing which package we will receive, however, I am guessing they will be pretty "meh" for most higher tier players. I was really hoping for the gold realms, but I guess we are just getting the halls of healing. Question... Why would we pick the Alliance War or Alliance Quest package for heals and revives if we can just get them in the halls of healing? Also 1000 5* shards? I'll take it because they are free, but Kabam's generosity seems to know very small bounds. To most higher tier players this isn't really that great of a gift, whereas to lower level players this is fantastic. I just wish that the compensation could be more geared to the level of play of the summoner rather than just a one size fits all approach.
Is anyone really surprised the game is down? Let's be honest this is the norm now. If this happened back in the day we would have received compensation for such a lackluster product. It seems the norm for compensating players has gone through quite the change over the years. Very disappointed in Kabam right now. Can't tell you how much better the game was back in the day when we really were appreciated.
When the "appreciation" weeks starts tomorrow, the game is gonna be like:
Damn you were right on!
I mean to be fair its not hard to be right about outages... They are usually daily, so all you have to do guess tomorrow and 99% of the time you will be right.
I mean this thread is closing in on 1k replies and the outrage is even more outside of the heavily moderated forums here. Lyra posted that the team received the feedback and they’d have to be completely tonedeaf and idiotic as a company and management staff to not respond accordingly at this point. Mods actually doing decent community relations at this point but not much they can do beyond that and conveying whatever the team decides. Or ducking if they truly think this is enough or will blow over.
Well, the game is down again, wich is a great sign for when appreciation week starts. If this is any indication, servers will probably be down at least as much or more.
Oh well, at least if that is the case in a few months we will get compensated, and the compensation will be carefully determined after reviewing what effect all those outages had. So.. No reason to complain right?

I can't see anywhere in this thread where we've indicated that we will be perfectly fine with them ignoring us. If it's a battle of wills, I think they'll find our will equal to their own.
I wonder how many times the game will go down during appreciation week. Since I have to cram everything I wanted to do during what I assumed would be a month period, should I just expect the game to crash while I’m finishing act 5? Or trying a LoL run? I mean I’ve already lost my dungeon run once so far and it just launched Monday.
The game is so unstable that we literally have no guarantee that anything we do will matter and with this package decision we KNOW proper compensation isn’t on the table to rectify it.
You should be talking the biggest package since 12.0 or on that level and throwing it out like candy during a month long event to beg people to stay on your unstable bugged game. That’s what you should be doing now. People are down to the last few wars of the season that will determine their place and rewards and I just saw how many people post screenshots losing half their health during a fight. I’m afraid if I start one before I go to bed it will go down again. This isn’t sustainable and you should know it and admit it.
Hate to say it but not spending on this game is the only way to hurt KABAM
Not necessarily, you can post reviews about the app in both the Apple and Google Play App stores. You can also file complaints with Google or Apple also. I use Android and was not affected by the iPhone issue, but if I was and it was as bad as everyone is saying it was I would have certainly filed a complaint/greivance about it with Apple.
Assuming the “thing” we receive today is as advertised, the game team has found a relatively safe vehicle to deliver items to the player base (without admitting fault) in the form of “appreciation week.” Enhancing the appreciation-part of the “thing” would be an easy way to assuage players without actually coming out and saying “our code may have contributed to harming your battery.” If concerns over admitting fault are not involved, then short-arming the appreciation (assuming they do so) seems even more puzzling—why appreciate less?
They acknowledged the issue, worked with Players for weeks on a resolution, and pushed an announced fix for that specific issue. The whole theory that they are avoiding admitting anything happened is just not sensical or factual.

Well that's not quite true. They admitted there was an issue with how this game interacted with IOS, they never actually admitted the fault was their own.

This game sucks and it's always down
Thanks for the Summoners' Appreciation week, but I hope you see why it makes summoners feel even more unappreciated. Please do something about it.
Yup... Even sadder than Infinity War...

Hope for the best, expect the worst.
They'll suprise you by not changing anything hahaha!!!

They have surprises. Emergency maintenance, Surprise!
All will be made known in several hours.
