It was stated Epic would be much much more difficult than Uncollected and it will tax our Item and Unit stash. So why are the rewards the same as Uncollected. Don't skip this question over please
It was not. If you read carefully, it says that epic is the same thing as uncollected.
Symbiote difficulty rewards are trash for the suggested difficulty, going to be so much harder and I just don't see the point if you need to waste resources to complete it.
And will you please answer the question about energy cost for this difficulty? If it's just like 2 chapters then it's not big deal. If it's a full 6 maps like Epic that's a huge problem.
Correct me if I'm wrong but does it not state For completing and mastering ALL of the Symbiote Quests, you earn:
1x 5-Star Featured Hero Crystal
2500x 5-Star Shards
18000x T2 Alpha Catalyst Fragment
10x 5-Star Sig Stone Crystal
1x Tier 4 Class Catalyst Crystal
1x Monstrous Master Title
So this surely means we need to 100% complete beginner-epic to gain these rewards and not that symbiote is a new difficulty.
Scratch that just reread the poorly described post!!
Guys, chill. Think of symbiote difficulty as a boss rush or champion challenge. It’s just extra. The rewards look like they match the champion challenges and will probably be that difficulty with the symbioid. Seriously, the symbiod will also make clearing uncollected easier as well. Ain’t no “symbiote supreme needs to be nerfed” posts this month!
The situation Kabam has put themselves in is that they have practically ‘given’ everyone a champ which is able to clear every difficulty regardless of your roster. The symbioid is 30% stronger than a 6* rank 2, so it basically beats every other champ, especially with enhancements. Interestingly, they have made it such that you need 1 more Klyntar catalyst to reach rank 5, than what is given for exploring beginner to master.
This means that a factor for distinguishing mid or late game players comes in where the catalysts are given. If they are given throughout the event quest, clearing one quest on epic difficulty might be manageable for most, leading to MOST mid tier players being able to reach rank 5 on the symbioid. I suspect this is the case, which is why they have tuned down the rewards for the symbioid difficulty.
Imagine if someone with just 4/40s can get the rank 5 symbioid and hence clear symbiote difficulty, there becomes a problem with controlling progression. Giving too many late game rewards (people asking for 6* shards and t5bc) means that mid tier players have access to tons of late game rewards, which becomes weird when a mid tier player is able to get a 6* that quickly.
I appreciate that Kabam has already made epic difficulty available for all players, so that mid tier players can have some end game rewards, but perhaps further increasing rewards in symbiote difficulty will tip the scales too much.
Lately, Kabam seems to be giving more skill based challenges like the danger room, allowing mid tier players to catch up with end game players, and the symbiote difficulty seems like another of such an event. Thankfully, the occult labs will still allow end game players to progress faster with better rewards, so overall the rewards cater to both mid and end game players.

I don't know why, but as a mid-tier player, this was beautiful to read. lol
@Kabam Miike Will the Symbiote difficulty be the same quest with the same number of paths required for exploration, just harder nodes/stronger opponents?

Firstly, the Master Key has been destroyed. Yes, you read that right, the Master Key has been destroyed, and the Master Difficulty has been unlocked for the foreseeable future.
@Kabam Miike Can we get a straight forward anwser for how much energy do we need for symbiote difficulty? At least is it the same to other difficulties or shorter??
Do we ask so much that you can t reveal?

Like we get 5 for completion and 10 for exploration?
1x 5-Star Featured Hero Crystal
2500x 5-Star Shards

10x 5-Star Sig Stone Crystal

That's because I'm a mid-tier player too xD
to bring the Symbioid to 5-rank you have "only" to fully explore epic level
Shouldnt that mean Master is locked forever lol?
Can a maxed Symbiote be used in a legends run?
That's actually a really good question... It would put many more players on the same playing field if they can be used for legends run.
Level Up: Unknown
Rank Up: Klyntar Catalysts and 1 Gold
From what I can see l, only rank ups needed, no lvlup
Do we ask so much that you can t reveal?
