Is there anyone on here that speaks for kabam?
You shouldn't need Kabam to answer your question. They made the Forums to help people and discuss problems as a community. Lots of members in this community are telling you the facts. Its all AI. Nuff said

That's why I'm asking the question. It would be really nice if there was a way to find out for real. While we all have our (beliefs/opinions) & I respect everyone's beliefs.I just want to know the cold hard facts.

you know this isnt our "opinions" right? kabam has stated this before i believe, and even if they didnt, the evidence is pretty much all there, and there is no way that it would be able to play against a player flawlessly. we have all told you the "cold hard facts" and you seem to be ignorant to said facts.

I know 4 a fact that the 3vs3 is avatars controlled by the computer. Once again I will repeat my original & only question. Do you fight against real people in "Quickmatch" in the versus mode?

we're teaching them to drown us with microtransactions ... that's our weakness ... overpriced offers ...

Funny! Kabam is doing a wonderful job drowning in revenue. Over $100,000,000 in under a year I believe.

Fighting AI, not other summoners in real time. If anything you're fighting other summoners mastery setups controlled by AI.

OP, your fellow summoners have answered this question several different times throughout this. The fights are AI controlled for both Versus and Quickmatch.

Versus matches are garbage. I fought the SAME OPPONENT 5 times in a row today. - all with Max 5* R5 characters. RNG? Bwwaahahaaaaaa. If we knew the real RNG Mechanics and "Chance" in this game, we'd all quit.

Every time I open pretty much any crystal, depending on what I have and what I need,.... I know exactly what I am going to get - the exact opposite. Kabam wants you to spend money. That's it. So, depending on what you have and need, their selection engine pushes you more and more to "just buying it".

Is M.C.O.C. really ran by a true A.I.?

Yes and unless we summoners fight against it daily and overcome the challenges it gives us, it will grow stronger and stronger and eventually control the world. This is why it's crucial we all do our part and keep this world safe.

Dammit this is why i feel so addicted to this game. It's because of my true heroic nature. Also does this mean kabam aren't actually evil cash-grabbers and are actually the earth's last line of defence??

@MAP448 this has been answered by mods many times and it's also obvious. Pause the fight. Wait 3 hours. Resume the fight. Do it again the next fight. Do you think it's possible that you always get someone willing to wait while the fight is paused and they are also ready to go immediately when you unpause it? There is no way with the current game design to have live people playing each other.

If @MAP448 won't listen to EVERY SINGLE PERSON here who tells him that ALL fights (PVP, 1v1, 3v3, etc) are against the computer, then I doubt he will listen to an actual Kabam employee (until he has heard from every single Kabam employee).
Note, there are different levels of AI (speed, willingness to activate their SP attacks, etc) as you progress from earlier arena matches and get up to the 15 or 20 streak range, but that doesn't mean you are fighting live against real people of different skills.

To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever claimed that arena match ups are chosen completely at random. In fact, we all know that they *aren't* chosen completely at random, but by an algorithm that escalates match ups based on the strength of your team up to a point where it stabilizes, ala "infinite streak" systems.

And if you think you can actually call your crystal openings based on what you currently have, I'll take that bet.

Has your quickmatch ever been paused by the opponent? Why can you pause quickmatch and no one ever quits?

A more absolutely definitive way to know with absolute certainty is if you're in any fight at all, quickmatch, arena, event quest, whatever, if your wifi or cellular signal drops the fight keeps going for an extended period of time, and can recover without terminating the fight if the drop is short enough. I've stepped into elevators were my signal for both wifi and cell drops to zero and my fight continues on until I exit. That is literally impossible if there was another human being on the other side of the fight.
The game wasn't built for PvP and they have no intention of ever adding it.

Based on how MCOC combat currently functions, I don't think it is even possible to adapt any of the lag compensation or client prediction systems to make it work correctly over a WAN with any latency at all in it. I think you'd have to have a network with less than half a frame of RTT or the whole thing would fall apart. There's just no way at present to guarantee that kind of latency for an internet game running on mobile devices.

Anyone saying "but what about" and naming a game is almost certainly naming a game that was specifically designed to factor in internet latency or has game mechanics less sensitive to them or both.
