Yeah but it's a MUCH slower gain that I even had NC rolling on my team in 4.3 RttL and he was a VIP where if I had him in a war attack… I'd last about hits hrs due to MD
No… I'm actually in the "fairness" category as defense is already crazy with spiders, NC, Hype, Magik, Unstoppable, Mordo… and CWBP among many others who depending on placement are actually a "good" challenge…
However when war leaks into Baustia territory where exactly does one draw the line?

Hulk… a champion praised for being capable of taking long hard fights due to large damage output
Hawkeye for his bleeds and control who I mostly keep around for Rhino, Electro and Hype…
And the last spit is a rotating VAoU, Wolverine and Karnak depending on my path
Even parry a lot of specials would be devastating to block
Also the specialized masteries, the scouter masteries, and new ones not released could be put in a new MASTER mastery group that can only be activated with levels 60-75 or whatever new level cap is in place.
This would preserve the core mastery balance and bring balance to MD. Collar tech could be improved to fully counteract MD, pure skill probably good enough, the other classes have no usable mastery that is on par with the others and need a TOTAL redo.
I think the best solution other than a major mastery redesign would be a MD cooloff period for dex triggering it... If you totally nerf MD or reduce its power gain then it will become almost useless like the others and not worth spending points and cores on.
The issue isn't also black and white though. This kind of war stagnates and often comes down to RNG and who ranked up who first
If mystic wasn't the AUTO-KILL it is then diversity of other mastery sets, war defenders and placement would open many more strategies in war

A passive cooloff of 8-7 seconds would actually place a limit on HOW abusive such a mastery could be
However champion abilities that remove buffs would have no cooloff but in cases like Voodoo L1 L2 and Magik L3 it'd only occur once per "Nullify" so each instance of Nullify can only trigger MD once
Science could also get buffed to be similar to GP where thy can't lose more than 90-50% if current health to a special attack (even through a block) to help counter all the extra specials that Mystic will have access to

If you know there is a high probability that MD will show up in your Tier, then it's best to bring who you need to minimize it. That's the preparation process in the current meta of War. Blind anticipation. It is impossible to be 100% prepared because people can place who they choose. We will also have to accept the fact that we will die from time to time. MD is not the Auto-Kill. It is a Mastery that is enhanced by Champs that have strong Abilities. It's just a matter of being prepared for it. We have no control over who places what. We can however, examine trends and accommodate as best as possible. People are going to use what kills. That will never change. All we can do is our best.
Mutagenesis: worthless against ANY hero that doesn't cause bleed.
Cosmic Awareness: worthless against ANY hero that doesn't have armor up.
Science Serum: worthless against ANY hero who's attack is not energy based.
Collar Tech: almost completely negated by the power of MD.
Pure Skill: was once extremely useful and now well we all know the story on that one.
The main difference for MD is it applies to ALL heroes because of dexterity. Instead of calling to nerf MD we should be petitioning Kabam to adjust ALL the other class masteries and make them apply to ALL heroes as well. If they took the time to adjust them AW would be opened up to all kinds of heroes, and not just either evaders or mystic champs.

I agree with you 100% . Mutant, cosmic and science one are simply worthless. Pure skill is now worthless you just need Pierce. Tech collar is getting abit more attention lately due to all the new tech champs and maybe useful on champs such as OP vision, otherwise worthless. There are just no balance and no one can understand why a OP class need a OP class mastery.

I destroy Mordo on thorns with my Hulk every war. He does fine against mystics.
Why is it people like you only ever attack pots suggesting nerfing down the god tier and never support posts requesting buffs to any other tier? Many ideas for Class masteries, improvement to old champs and many more buffs go unnoticed it are shot down
