Now that we are getting more frequent champion balancing, when will Pure Skill be looked at? Mystic Dispersion had it's re-balancing and compensation given, yet the few of us that maxed this mastery out have been in literal limbo since March 2017, that's almost 2 years and a half.
At this point I would just be happy with a unit refund to be honest.
Any comments on this would be greatly appreciated, not asking for the world, or want to give out/complain, just legitimately baffled on how long this has gone without actually doing something about it.

Mine is still opened to 3/5. But even those 3 points and the resources spent to attain them should be refunded, plus interest. I don’t think it’s mean-spirited to suggest that, as a policy, when parts of the game aren’t working, the best approach is to put people back where they should have been, everything else being equal. That won’t be perfect every time, but it’s a start. I’m baffled at how hard it is for this company to admit mistakes and make amends with its customers.

Think of Pure Skill like it is a meal pass you buy that says you can have one free meal a week at a restaurant, but only up to a certain value. So the tier 1 pass gives a free meal, but only up to $5. Tier 2 gives a free meal, but only up to $10. Tier 3 caps at $20, tier 4 caps at $50, and tier 5 caps at $100.
This made sense when Kabam operated a restaurant where it was possible to order a $100 meal. But after 12.0, the most expensive course on the menu is now only $35. What's more, they retroactively doubled the cap on all passes. So now the tier 1 pass gives up to $10 of value, and so on. So those expensive tier 4 and tier 5 passes that people bought now have the exact same value as the much cheaper tier 3 pass. In fact, it was the very fact that they made all passes better that they made the most expensive ones useless. When tier 3 became good enough to cover the entire menu, there's nothing for tier 4 and 5 to do.
(PS: these numbers are just to make the example simple: they don't reflect the actual mechanical changes in the game).
It is simultaneously true that the passes are worth more than before, and yet the top two tier passes are now practically worthless. The only time you can use them is on holidays like Mother's Day when a special menu adds a $75 item for that one day. Which is what happens in MCOC: flat stats makes high armor almost impossible to get, except for those rare moments when special content creates super high armor by fiat.
Just to be clear, I wouldn't put it the way Kabam Miike did. Saying PS is more "effective" than before is being literally true on the margins but highly misleading in my opinion. I'm just explaining how that statement can even be marginally true at all. Based on the testing we did when the problem first surfaced, I think the only reasonable thing to do is to refund everyone who bought PS tier 4 and tier 5, because those are the tiers that are affected by the 12.0 mechanics changes. The first three tiers were tested to be having effects at least comparable to pre-12.0, so the only reason to refund those tiers is just to eliminate the inevitable argument you'll get if you only do a partial refund. Which to be honest might be worth it just on those grounds, given the huge delay in addressing the issue.

Bottom line: fix it or refund it. After this long that’s the only stand-up thing to do.

@Kabam Miike said however many years / months ago this was being worked on. I don't understand why or how it could possibly take so long to fix but my guess is nobody uses the mastery anymore so there's no urgency to fix it.
I spent a lot of units to max out this mastery pre 12.0 update and haven't used it since. I've asked countless times for updates and this topic mostly gets ignored.
I've suggested just reworking the mastery entirely to something new because it's pretty apparent there's no real fix possible or it would have been done by now.
