I had the same question and my search lead me here first. After reading this I realized another possible benefit are attackers like Spider-Man 2099. He's immune to buffs, but when they trigger the debuffs he applies are paused for 5 seconds. So these placebo buffs would REALLY help him out.

The node states "After launching a Special attack, defender gains +1 Passive Prowess for each hit that was blocked. If the Attacker performs a well-timed block, they gain this prowess instead." So, the well-timed block has to be during said Special attack?

Added thought: I recall someone mentioning that Kabam would most likely rate the update's success on datamining his usage. *Hopefully* it's taken into account new people using him simply to experience the difference and figure out how to play this transformation. Magneto (House of X) also has another bug conerning his Bleed Immunity. I've fought him using my Yondu several times now (Tech + not #Metal is always nice). The Hood. He shuts down SOOO many champs and wrecks Hyperion on that debuff immune AW node. All those "attack does not make contact" champs? Love 'em! Almost guaranteed to miss while invisible, which is most of the fight. When he isn't, he's power draining.

Agree that Nebula's one. The trick with her Shock damage is to build up charges and 2 bars of power. Parry then SP2 = dead opponent. Here's an example with my 4* R3 Nebula (maxed her out a while back). You can imagine how much more damage you'd do with a 5* or 6*.
