  • I really like the rework of OG Iron Man. He's now my favorite champ to use. However, Kabam of course has to make money to keep Marvel Contest of Champions going. And assuming maybe a 20-80 split (20% of accounts generate 80% of revenues) or maybe even a 5-95 split, they probably need to focus on generating excitement about…
  • I guess this is an older thread, but my weapon-of-choice among these would be Warlock. Nimrod is a very close second. He and Infamous Iron Man are really fun to play; and both bring a lot to a fight. I don't have an Ant-Man (Future), but he seems cool also. Nevertheless, Warlock just seems to get the job done against a…
  • I haven't used him against Hulkling yet, but I think Spider-Man Supreme would be a very solid counter.
  • Overall, I think Emma Frost may be one of the most underrated champs in the game when you consider how much utility she brings and her more-than-decent damage. I was fortunate enough to recently pull a 6* Emma Frost; and even though I'm still getting accustomed to her, she's already proven to be a valuable addition to my…
  • Most entertaining to play (ignoring practicality, utility, damage, frequency of use to clear content, etc): Stealthy Thing Dragon Man Kitty Pryde Warlock
  • Hype is awesome. I've used him on ROL runs; and he crushes it, especially when the RNG gods are feeling generous with stuns and furies. He proves that a relatively simple setup can still work even in the current meta.
  • First of all, congrats on having such a choice to make! I don't know as much about Thing (I just recently got him as a 5* and he's really fun). As for choosing between Cosmic Ghost Rider and Archangel, it depends. However, assuming you like playing both CGR and AA, don't have any overriding considerations with respect to…
  • I can understand the frustration. Usually, the fights are really fun, but taking down IMIW in this side quest wasn't. That stated, no one's forcing any of us (I hope) to play Marvel Contest of Champions. If content doesn't suit my roster or play-style, I usually just leave it alone until I'm better prepared and equipped to…
  • Sorry for commenting on an older thread, but I have to agree with what most people posted. If you want decent damage and a ton of utility, BWCV is one of the top options out there.
  • Congrats. Both are top-tier champs, so I think it comes down to personal preference and your roster. I voted for Kitty Pryde because of her utility. Overall, I think she's more sustainable. Her phase mechanic in particular comes in handy in many tough fights. Although her damage when fully ramped up is more than…
  • I'd have to agree that it seems somewhat arbitrary how characters are assigned classes. However, a judgment call has to be made at some point that probably takes into consideration where each of the classes stand, the character's history, potential synergies, etc. As for Quicksilver specifically, I once read X-Men comics;…
  • Cap IW, NF (ideally starting with his life model decoy) and Hyperion are also good counters. If Kingpin's awakened, of course, you have to fight him as though he's stun-immune.
  • I've got to add Warlock to this list. In terms of the variety of content and champions he can deal with, I think he's one of the best.
  • If only Shang-Chi had a power-drain or regen strike, but I guess that'd be too crazy. He'd be even more op than he is now.
  • Warlock. He has four immunities, is tough as nails, heal blocks (degens if awakened), power drains, reduces offensive ability accuracy, stacks bleeds and has decent regen himself.
  • I think it depends on your roster and the kind of content you play. If you need a strong mystic, you could do a lot worse than Sorcerer Supreme. Otherwise, if you just want a good overall addition to your roster for the long-run, I'd go with Warlock. I was fortunate enough to pull a 6* Warlock also; and he's a workhorse.…
  • Kind of as Konstant45 alluded to, one way to think of versatility is: 10 nodes are selected at random. You have no information about those nodes (ie, the opponent or the type of node) until you pick your champ. You also don't know who your champion's teammates will be beforehand, so you can't count on synergies. The goal,…
  • I just recently got BWCV and she's incredibly versatile. If you have an eye towards utility and sustainability with respectable damage (I don't run suicides either), I'd go with her. Tigra is another nice mix of utility and damage. If you're more interested in damage than utility, Longshot and Domino are probably better…
  • It varies, but it's usually Cap IW, Hype, NF, Warlock, Prof X, Longshot or Kitty Pryde.
  • Tough question. Hercules, CMM, etc are all awesome. Overall, however, I think Hyperion is the best cosmic champ. Just my opinion.
  • 5* Aegon because he's unawakened.
  • There are many options apparently, but from personal experience, Human Torch and Warlock have been the most effective at countering regeneration. Cap IW with a tech teammate is another solid option, but if the opponent isn't aggressive or if your parry is off, it'll be a long fight. Silver Centurion can get the job done,…
  • Device: iPhone SE2 OS: iOS 15.2.1 WiFi Game Version: 32.2.2 Game Mode: Story Quests Book 1 5.2.6 Champion Affected: Apocalypse (6* Rank 1 unawakened) No Boosts I experienced something similar just now. I'm exploring Act 5; and the Collector shrugged off Apoc's stun.
  • Most fun to play (though not necessarily what I'd use in content) Tech Hulkbuster Warlock Silver Centurion Nebula Vision (OG or Movie) Mutant Kitty Pryde Prof X Apoc Domino Archangel Science Cap IW HT IHulk Quake Spider-Ham Skill Stealthy NF Shang-Chi Falcon Gwenpool Mystic Dragon Man Longshot Sasquatch Tigra Doc Voodoo…
  • Right. Just my personal preference. For example, CMM was my MVP when I got Cavalier. Cap IW, Nick Fury and Shang-Chi have gotten me through some tough fights, as well. Of course, there's a lot of love in the community for Herc, Quake, Mags, Doom and Ghost also. However, personally, I don't have much experience actually…
  • Everyone's entitled to their likes and dislikes. And a buff would be nice. Still, I think OG Daredevil is cool as is. Stuns after SP1 and SP2, and can dodge projectile attacks if awakened. He's usually not a go-to in my roster, but he's not terrible either.
  • Tough question. Here's my current top 10 in no particular order in terms of enjoyment or/and usefulness in content and arena: 1. Cap IW 2. Nick Fury 3. Captain Marvel (Movie) 4. Hulkbuster 5. Kitty Pryde 6. Shang Chi 7. Hyperion 8. Tigra 9. Human Torch 10. Longshot This is clearly arbitrary. There are a ton of other champs…
  • Although Hype is a solid option, if you have her, I think CMM is better for 6.1.5, especially if you have NF. Like Hype, CMM is poison-immune. Also, the node keeps Hype from generating power like he usually does and CB is almost stun-immune, which makes it tougher to land heavies to generate furies. CMM is less reliant on…
  • I've read in this post and others that Nick Fury is an option, but I think people should know that if you aren't able to one-shot CB with him, he revives as the actual Nick Fury, so the poison does damage (along with the loss of the Infinity Formula).
  • Nice write-up. Longshot has a cool playstyle and that SP2 is often lights-out. I took my 5* to rank 4 recently.; and he's one of my favorite champs to play, as well.
