If it is just a "test" event? Wouldn't it have been better to push it to the limit to motivate players to participate? How valid of a test of the scoring system, or whatever ,is this event if the result is "non-participation"?

It is the games lack of balance that causes these feelings. Last month it was raining champs on us, now suddenly it feels like a desert by comparison. When the rewards are suddenly awesome for a month then drop significantly everything goes back to feeling like a grind.

There has been one boycott that was successful. The "shut down the game and fix-it" boycott. They did end up shutting down the game for 3 days. In other words, the crystals have been distributed unevenly. I ended up with one less than the rest of my alliance as well. All because I had two misfires. Somehow though the players in my alliance who were unaffected got bonus crystals when I did. And of course that makes everything right huh? We end up having the problem…

Better rewards at more attainable point levels is what would have helped. But some of the players think we should go all in and throw away useful items in order for them to get some extra goodies for their second and third small accounts.
