This I don't understand. Especially duped, she should handle Serpent easily. If the health pool is too big, you can stack more EVs before launching the SP2, or even do an SP3 first. The deep dive rotation is for quick easy fights imo.
-
Yeah, I think the dupe is more important than ranking him up.
-
Ok, he has joined the burgeoning R3 family. To be honest, Lady D was a mistake. She was my only option at the time to become Valiant, but I should've waited. I just can't break the habit of trying to block specials, and then after using her I forget and intentionally take specials to the face with other champs who do not…
-
I wouldn't say I was "criticizing" your thread. Just thinking about the overall picture and the combination of what Kabam hears from this forum. Also, as a Valiant myself, I'm not opposed to getting everything, both lower progression rewards and unique high-end stuff. But it might end up being overwhelming if everything…
-
Well if you put the two opposite demands together, you get this: "As Valiants, we want all of the rewards that are offered to lower progression players, but also valuable high-end rewards that are not available to lower progression players. Basically, we want everything."
-
As soon as they upgrade the dailies there will be countless threads complaining about how it's not possible to get easy rank up mats for 4s which are needed to grind arenas...
-
Ah, interesting. I guess if you throw like 10 specials the regen will add up. Still, unless my math is wrong, a sig 20 would've gone from 40% to 75% health in your fight, vs. 93% at sig 100. So if nothing else, just a positive consideration for giving her respect even at low sig?
-
Makes a difference with what though? The regen will still be relatively low and the free power bar to start the fight, while nice, doesn't seem essential because she gains power so quickly regardless. Even if I R3 mine, I don't see myself adding to her sig 20 dupe. But maybe I'm missing something.
-
Isn't there another giant thread where people are complaining about the exact opposite issue, i.e., that the game doesn't account for the specific high-end needs of valiants and instead offers them the same rewards as lower progression players?
-
Have you considered that, instead of a conspiracy to harm the players, the time delays might be due to the difference between a localized issue with fewer dependencies (like a specific fight in a specific quest), and something like Juggs's bug, which is tied into multiple layers of game code and also involves tweaking…

Isophyne is the Mike Tyson of the mystic class. Like, the Mike Tyson of today. But honestly, I wonder if people who hate her just throw an SP2, look at the mediocre damage, and move on. I think her damage rotation has potential. She might not get those giant hits, but you have to factor in how many specials she can spam,…
-
Her only counter is literacy, so yeah, she gets a lot of wins as a defender. Keep her ranked low so she stays at the bottom of your deck, less chance of getting banned because people usually don't scroll down.
-
Yeah, you definitely have to pick your spots, especially like in this last VC node where the defenders were stun immune. What usually works for me is throw an SP1 for the eggs, then during the pause after opponent throws a heavy or special, I run back into my corner, charge heavy and cancel into an unblockable SP2. If…

Yes, sorry, I should've said that. Juggs and Shathra are R3, the rest are R1.
-
I don't have regrets about R3ing Shathra, but you're right that this is a very strong list and she's not a dual threat. I'm not sure that "there are much better mystic attackers" than her, but that assumes you're playing her optimally,. Anyhow, I would say there are other mystic attackers that can do what she does,…
-
Maybe hold off on R3ing Juggs for a bit...
-
I think that's giving too much credit. There is no actual relationship. Just stalkers complaining about how poorly they're being treated.
-
I know I joked about him above, and I knew about the pulverize and anti-glancing abilities, but I reread his kit and had completely forgotten about his Grit Buff (not relevant to Sentinel but an ability I'd been trying to get access to easily). So given that I just pulled him from a Titan recently, I think I'll eat my…
-
Yeah, haha, I know he pulverizes Sentinel, I just hate him...
-
"Put me in coach!" "You're at level one and don't even have a relic equipped. Sit down."
-
In my opinion, he's not really on the level of the top tier defenders. His SP1 is easy to dex, and the rest is just his awakened ability once he gets below 20% health. I'd rather save my bans for others.
-
It's a dangerous game, because say Doom inflicts a stagger on Sentinel and then Sentinel drops below 20%. All 3 armor buffs will get nullified/staggered at the same time, meaning he immediately gets 90% of an SP3. In my experience, there's a very strong chance Sentinel will throw an SP3 at this point before Doom can power…
-
I'm sure there are other quicker options too, where you end him before he reaches below 20% health. But as far as Medusa, working up to 3 bars of power and then finishing him in the 35 seconds during which he's armor shattered should take around 80 seconds total? Depending on respective ranks.
-
That's a great way to eat an SP3 from him: "Each time one of these Armor Up Buffs ends for any reason other than Pulverize or Sentinel’s personal abilities, Sentinel Passively gains 90% of a Bar of Power."
-
He's immune to armor break but not armor shatter, so while Medusa's normal stuff won't work, her SP3 will because it inflicts Armor Shatter without relying on armor breaks like her SP1.
-
Nice!
-
I gave the SW relic to Isophyne, but you're right, it would work great with Shathra too. I think the IF relic wouldn't fit Isophyne though so that was my logic.
-
Yes, agree 100% about him being unplayable (outside of like Arena or something). But I was just being sarcastic about "compensation" because I see so many threads like that. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone demands all 9.1 and Necro rewards because they were going to use Juggs for those quests but…
-
I think the takeaway is that it's relatively easy these days to R5 6s, whether by gem or cats. At least for me, the important resource for 6s is ascension powder, and the lack thereof in the rewards for these tedious quests... But that means I probably won't do them unless I get bored and have extra time, and that's ok.…

my vote (surprise surprise): R3 Shathra and add R3 Iron Fist relic.
