I wanted to know how good is symbiote supreme unduped as a 5 star
Beyond Godly against Champions with Buffs and still Great against Champions without Buffs, and his Dupe Ability is not Needed but it's a nice addition.
I'd suggest using Video Guides so you know the Basics of the Champion, he's far from complicated but needs a little bit of an understanding of his Playstyle.

Uhhh I wouldn't say hes great against non buff heavy champs. He needs to nullify buffs to gain genetic potential. He can't do that very well at all without buffs. If he doesn't have genetic potential, he won't bleed or gain power fast.

He still gains Genetic Potential when Staggers expire...

Sure but doesn't get a ton of it and he takes longer to ramp up. If you aren't at 100 genetic potential when you have an L3 and time it with Set fangs, your bleeds are more like scratches. L2's won't drain as much power either.
Congrats! I generally try to focus on building up to his SP3 as quickly and frequently as possible so that he can take advantage of all of his Genetic Blessings at the same time. That said, if you have the opportunity, waiting to use the SP3 until you have 100 Genetic Potential will ensure that he gets the most Power after activating your SP3 though.

Isn't as big a difference as you think, you just need 4 Staggers to expire each phase which is Really easy to get stacked up one that first phase if you're aggressive enough.
On every earth. Sym controls buffs and bleeds. Voodoo controls buffs, poisons, power controls, regenerates, and reduces ability accuracy. How is this even a debate?
The one where you'd like to kill your non-poison immune opponent without waiting 30 seconds to start the fight. I have DV, SS, and Magik at 3/45 (GR is the 4/55 for blade trinity action) - whomever dupes first gets the next nod. They're all nice tho, with 4 MD especially.

I think what makes the debate a fair fight is that while Dr. Voodoo is stronger than SS in many situations, SS comes out way ahead on a few very key ones: very problematic cosmics. In my opinion there's just no contest at all between Voodoo and SS going up against Medusa, Hyperion, or The Champion, say. And people often think less about overall ability, and more about how many nasty problems a champion can buy you out of.
Also, SS does have capabilities you don't list. SS does have some power control (SP2 power steals in phase one) and has a safeguard in phase two which allows SS to tank SP3s with the right timing. And in situations where the defender procs a lot of buffs SS can generate an insane amount of power, like if Vision's synthesis was a permanent buff.
I pulled 4* voodoo and SS in the same batch of crystals. Given I have a class gem and enough resources to take either to R5 right now (truth be told I could do both but don't want to), who would you choose?
T4CC do not rain from the sky and I would love a 5r4 magik.
I think Symbiote Supreme and Doctor Voodoo both have their uses and even though they cover some similar areas, they do have some differences that could be important to consider depending on who is on your team. Voodoo's Regeneration at the top of the fight can be pretty helpful for sustained fights, though SS's ability to tank specials while in Null's Shadow can be used as a different kind of defensive utility. Symbiote Supreme is better at preventing Buffs, but in fights where an opponent will gain their Buffs no matter what, Voodoo has a stronger ability to get rid of Buffs that are already active.

Not so short answer. He's good, even unduped.
