Rather than outright nerf

Add an easier difficulty, same rewards but give titles. Those that completed it already have an opportunity for 3k more shards.
Completing nerfed difficulty get the title “showed up”
Completing unnerfed difficulty get the title “showed off.”

Honestly, I love this, but creating a new difficulty and getting it through the entire process to go live would take a lot more time, and might just be downright not doable.

Miike, how about ignoring Noobin for one event and see how it goes? These knee-jerk reactions will kill the game as it is second nature for people to complain about difficulty. We are firmly back at the place where we were before Variant 1 came out when AW was the only source of difficulty and the rest of the game was really easy.
You still have the showdown difficulty. All the nerf did was lower health. And get rid of restrictions, but it’s still a challenging fight for a roster like mine

No offense, but you have only been playing the game for a year. This wasn't really intended for newer players. I guess with these changes anyone can do it now.

I wish they could leave both versions up. I was enjoying practicing against the difficult fight since it didn't cost energy. I was looking forward to hopefully getting a one-shot before it ended. This lower health pool just makes it seem like another labyrinth fight now.

To be honest Miike you could of just removed the 4* restriction and left the fight as is and not reduced the health. Being able to use a team of 5* r3 and above as well as 6* for 1 fight and get 3k Shards and 500k gold is pretty good reward.

I did the fight with 0 items using a r4 4* Colossus and it took just under 300 hits. I enjoyed the challenge of it to be honest. I also wasn't going to rank someone up just to do it so lucky i had colossus

I wanted to try other characters such as Taskmaster, Netflix DD etc with synergies and try to solo the fight, but it won't be as satisfying when he has 1/4 health.

And don't forget Summer of Pain (which will probably not actually be in the Summer, since there's already so much going on) which is designed to REALLY challenge Summoners that have 100% Completed Abyss, Act 6, and everything else. Challenging Content is coming.
I just hope is not something like Abyss, where fights can't even be one-shotted and require very specific champions.
If it's challenging, its okay. If I'm forced to use revives because I've reached the hit cap, it's not.
you can one shot fights in abyss

Yes, but not every fight in a realistic way.
The problem with the Abyss is that the 'hit cap" is there to show you how much you can do till it's "game over". It's designed to end the fight there, even if you somehow manage to get over that.
If there is "game over" mechanic similar to that during the summer of pain event, then it's a poor design. If it is just a larger health pool with some node combinations, then it's challenging

that’s fair. These days however, newer players with the right champions and some skill. This tune down fits the description of “fight the bosses for fun” which is what this is supposed to be. It is fun, while still posing a challenge for mid to low game players.

Endgame players can do the showdown for the challenge, while the rest of us do show up. That’s the point I’m trying to make here.

If you're certain the mechanics are designed to "end the fight there" then why doesn't it just kill the player? That's how I would end the fight there, if I was told to design it to end the fight there.

I guess in a way you are right. I will do it for the free shards. BUT I won't find it challenging or a test. It's one labyrinth fight now with rewards somehow better than completing the monthly EQ. That doesn't seem right to me. If kabam is going to cave every time ppl complain because the content is too difficult we won't ever get anything more difficult than we have now. Labyrinth came out 4 years ago. It requires dozens of fights. 4 years later we get better rewards for 1 fight of the same difficulty. How does that help the game progress when newer champs are so much more powerful than the older ones labyrinth difficulty was designed around?

I'm confused by all the players who 1Shot the fight being upset that the Showup nerf will no longer be a challenge for them.
Isn't that what Showdown is for? (I'm genuinely asking).

    Nailed it 😂😂👍👍
Everyone can't enter the Showdown. That's why they had the Showup so everyone had a chance to participate. You should feel lucky if your from a country that is able to join the Showdown because a large number of ppl aren't able to join thru no fault of their own.

That's incorrect. I'm from a region that's excluded from the showdown but I can still enter and fight both the difficulties regardless
how? i'm from a country that was excluded from the showdown and i can't even see the showdown difficulty, it only gives me the show up one... and that's strange, because yesterday i could see it (but not enter it anyway).
