Add an easier difficulty, same rewards but give titles. Those that completed it already have an opportunity for 3k more shards.
Completing nerfed difficulty get the title “showed up”
Completing unnerfed difficulty get the title “showed off.”

Don't worry, we've still got the Omega Boss Rush (31 very difficult fights, back to back). And don't forget Summer of Pain (which will probably not actually be in the Summer, since there's already so much going on) which is designed to REALLY challenge Summoners that have 100% Completed Abyss, Act 6, and everything else. Challenging Content is coming.
I wish they could leave both versions up. I was enjoying practicing against the difficult fight since it didn't cost energy. I was looking forward to hopefully getting a one-shot before it ended. This lower health pool just makes it seem like another labyrinth fight now.
I did the fight with 0 items using a r4 4* Colossus and it took just under 300 hits. I enjoyed the challenge of it to be honest. I also wasn't going to rank someone up just to do it so lucky i had colossus
I wanted to try other characters such as Taskmaster, Netflix DD etc with synergies and try to solo the fight, but it won't be as satisfying when he has 1/4 health.
If it's challenging, its okay. If I'm forced to use revives because I've reached the hit cap, it's not.
The problem with the Abyss is that the 'hit cap" is there to show you how much you can do till it's "game over". It's designed to end the fight there, even if you somehow manage to get over that.
If there is "game over" mechanic similar to that during the summer of pain event, then it's a poor design. If it is just a larger health pool with some node combinations, then it's challenging
Endgame players can do the showdown for the challenge, while the rest of us do show up. That’s the point I’m trying to make here.
Isn't that what Showdown is for? (I'm genuinely asking).
