Think Kabam forgot as well that this is a compensation package because part of their game doesn’t work properly. Just had parry fail twice in AW and lost most of my health. Obviously not going to heal up off season, but in season that would have been expensive.

Compensation and ongoing issues are a separate subject.
Changes in the potion system are unlikely to affect alliances that can’t be bothered to run 3 BGs in wars. They are aimed at and will affect alliances that are competing for top spots / ranks. Master and Platinum.
The ones that spend time and resources and actual money on boosts, potions, champions and their rankup, masteries and so on. The ones that will have to spend units on extra potions soon.
The fact that there are so many concerned posts from members of high ranking alliances should be an indicator that we are not complaining just to complain.
We are worried that many will have to abandon wars in general or competitive wars.
The expectation is that more will step down rather than agree to pay a fortune for potions.
Everyone is free to state their opinion but it is not nice to try to derail discussion when we have a reason to be concerned and when there are no signs that this matter has been resolved. Not yet.
Would Kabam consider tracking item use in alliances from Master to P1-P3 to assess their item use this season and how many potions are actually needed per war?
So we can receive loyalty in the amount that is enough to cover at least the bare minimum that is required (and extras will be covered with units)?
I play in a T5 G1 alliance & I can confidently say that this new system affects us as well & may be affects at least till G2 ranks It's not just a Master or Platinum thing Even in higher Gold ranks people are using 6* R3s be it for offense or for defense (we even face many 6* R4s on defense) It's common to heal up before fights & use boosts in tight wars or high risk match-ups And with lower loyalty this change may be affects us more or at least the same higher tiers since the costs are same but the loyalty is almost half of what we get in T1
AW is not monetized and no one spends out of pocket to play it. You get boosts from alliance events, solo crystals, or from the Cavalier EQ offer using grinded units and they last all season and all potions come from glory. If you manage your resources, you don't pay a dime and have plenty of units to spare, even at the highest levels.
But these changes are not player friendly and artificially force unit spending on a mode that's never needed it, that's why you see a mob with pitckforks. Stop pushing your views when you don't have the relevant experience. It's good to listen every now and then too.
False, stop pushing demonstrably false nonsense.
You can give your data on how much glory you got before the compensation issue, per quest, if your alliance was average basic level or expert in quest (let's divide 3 ranks to not make the issue complicated) and what was the value of the level 4 orb in the glory store Since you want to talk about proving false things...
I do not need any more evidence of aw being monetized than the guy saying “AW is not monetized and no one spends out of pocket to play it.” or that not all potions come from glory than the guy who posted that following up saying he has spent real money on those potion packs to participate.
Additionally there are numerous YouTubers who play at that level documenting themselves to have purchased those packs in the past, one of them on this thread (who’s loyalty calculations forgot to include off season loyalty, the loyalty from the AW solo objective, additionally holiday event loyalty and that’s just ottomh. Along with potions from that same solo event and holiday event potions.)
Furthermore pre compensation high tier AW participants were spending their units on the alliance war bundles available in the store which subsidized their potions.
Contrary to this false narrative currently being spun AW has been monetized.
You didn't answer the question and I know why, as the data doesn't support what you say.
You obviously do not know why. I did not answer because it is irrelevant to the point I was making. I was addressing the false narrative about AW not being monetized and potions for units/cash being foreign to the game mode. I was not addressing anything relative to your questions asked of me.
But is it really $$$ monetized if putting in the time works just as well?
If a grocery store sells fruits and vegetables, I'm not worried because I grow my own garden, so the $$$ part becomes optional and just a convenience.
Spending $$$ for war is a lot more foreign than what we've always had: teams full of gardeners grinding it out.
....and Kabam is trying to weed that out with water and space restrictions.
This is a grinder's farmer's strike! : )
What are you farming for aw exactly? It’s hard to nail down what your issue is because in multiple posts you decry the potential use of units then go on to talk about arena grinding for aw which will can only give you units to use towards AW.
And yes if arena grinds (units) are an intrinsic part of playing aw it is absolutely monetized as many players refuse to participate in arenas. A large portion of this game’s monetization is players being able to spare the time otherwise spent farming by spending cash.
Looks like this is a done deal and Kabam wants to take the risk
To me, one of the fun parts of the game is managing resources and only spending money on real stuff like offers.
This change is so evil because it will force players to spend real money on daily activities, and it is ridiculously expensive, $10 to heal one 6R4 champion, it's price of lunch for many people. It will be interesting to see how many people will actually do this, after Kabam cancel the compensation package.
How are we supposed to go in alliance war season when we cant buy alliance war potions… they are too expensive for an average guy… and you don’t provide enough loyalty to buy 10k hp with 20000 loyalty… please change it back to glory store

I know this is me being slightly facetious but that $10 is £7.77 in the UK and for that price I can genuinely pay for my lunches for the whole week - and that’s having a chicken breast, veg and rice every single day or 2 meal deals from Tesco. When you put the costs against actual things that normal people have to pay for on a daily basis it’s ludicrous. I know that the whole virtual MTX world is a little bit crazy but this really is..

In Kabam's dream world, everyone will pay $100 per week to buy potions.
Again, I'm OK to spend a few of hundred dolors to buy good offers (yes, I spent quite a bit of money in this game), and I'm OK spend $20-30 in AW per month if it is necessary for my alliance (although I don't need to most of the time), but there is no way for me to spend $100-200 in a AW season, I will just stop AW.
Funnily, they refuse to listen to their players, their ccp, anyone who really play their game in favor of flawed numbers that have been proven wrong again, ad again, and again. The ones who take the hit will be players, and alliances, with stress of war, and then they will come back in a season or two, saying they listened and making changes much needed. a never ending cycle
Today, we’ll be pushing the changes to the Loyalty store live. That means we’ll be increasing the purchase limit of Potions to 5, reducing the refresh period to 1 day. and changing to a scaling cost method, similar to the glory store.
We also want to reiterate that the current weekly Compensation packages are not going anywhere until we have our new Input Refactor system in place. We’ll have more information on the fix as we get closer to its release.
We also understand that there are still more comments and concerns that need to be addressed, and we will be working to do so whenever we can. However, we do not plan to change Potions back to being in the Glory store, but are going to continue to work to make sure that the supply of Loyalty available to players will make the investment easier. We’ve already mentioned an increase to War Win and Loss Rewards (these are in addition to the Alliance War Completion rewards, the Alliance War Solo event, and loyalty gained from Helping your Alliance), and will continue to refine and update the resource economy as we move forward.
We will continue to collect and analyze Data, but need to reiterate that our intention is not to make Loyalty potions and revives a replacement for the current Compensation consumables, which are in place due to the issues we are experiencing with our input system. We understand that players have become accustomed to this new supply of consumables and switching back to a world where you’re asked to invest resources for such consumables might be hard to sit with, but it was never the intention of those packages to make Alliance War consumables permanently free.
While we may not have a definite plan in place, we will have more updates regarding the Loyalty store and consumable in the first week of May.
