6th in the world at anything in mcoc is crazy, congrats
he was FIFTH.
Even better. I wanna say 5th is amazing so be happy, but thinking about it, if I grinded so hard and I didnt get first, and it wasn't even like I got 100 or smth I got 5TH....I'd actually bug tf out
If Brian Grant only open about 50k in crystal and got a boost of 500 million due to him opening the three eggs, but still came in second overall. How is it possible that @DNA3000 who opened 121,355 cytals and was place 5th. The top summoner who is above Brian Grant didn't open over 500 million crystals. The math doesn't add up here. What am I missing to solve this puzzle. Did Brian Grant actually open over 121,335 crystals? I saw his stream and he didnt' have that much left after the 50k crystal opening.

I figured I had a 50/50 shot at this: my big worry was a mega whale would swoop in - which did in fact happen - and I ended up in second.
Fourth is painful. Second would be more painful. Second place to someone who scored 122k would be right up there with what Cassandra Nova did to Johnny.

Don't think the 5 mil counts? Maybe he grinded for more crystals after?idk

They added 500m to Brian's score to give us all the milestones. They intended to remove them afterwards so he did not steal Bastion from the deserving player. But when they did, we lost all the milestones again because our score dropped. So they gave him back the 500m and fixed the milestones so we could all collect them, then found second place and added one billion points to their score to put them firmly in first.
As there are no rewards for second, third, or any other place except for the percentage bracket rewards, this does not directly impact anyone's rewards it just puts the right person in first place. This is also why our current realm score looks like 2.1 billion points. There are 1.5 billion extra points in there.
I got rank 60, 708, anyone know what percentage it is? I know its 1 to 10 percent but I wanna know if i was closer to 1 percent than 10
Closer to ten percent.
It would be a bit optimistic to think the game had grown to six million players. And my current best estimate for number of active players is in the neighborhood of 750k or so. Definitely between 700k and 1M.

500M per crystal, looks right. But also Brian fooled them. The crystals are safe with the new keeper. Otherwise the universe would have been ended and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Eggs didn't grant any points. The objective for opening all three itself granted 500m.
Vern was manually awarded an extra one billion points to ensure he was number one above Brian. That's where the extra points come from.

So what's the actual number of crystals that Brian Grant opened?
My recollection was that he was somewhere around 50k.
50k is what I saw on his video. So how did he come in second overall with that score. I guessing it had to do with the bonus points be added and removed. This must have cause an error in the universe.
I opened what I could, I didn't go over the board but I saved catalysts, champions (just 120 4* for iso) and free 4 hour crystals.
I actually ended up putting a lot of thought into what I opened and didn't open. There are some crystals I didn't open. I still have about 2500 4hr crystals - but I opened several thousand more. I opened all my solo crystals and shards: all of them. I opened basically all my arena boosts, all my gold crystals, and virtually all my champion crystals below 5* hero crystals. I have some nexus crystals, 6* and 7* shards, and some collector crystals like the crystal crystal (not a typo).
Here was ultimately how I decided which crystals to open.
1. If I open does anything go into temporary stash? If no, open. Gold crystals, for example. For the most part, arena crystals.
2. Does the crystal contain something I might lose to the stash, but don't actually need? If so, open. I opened thousands of T3CC crystals under this rationale. Yes, they are all going to go into stash, and there's no way I can use thousands of T3C. But that's the point: I'm *never* going to be able to use them. They will either sit there forever, or I can open them now and score points. So they all go.
3. Can I replace them if I open them? This one was a bit tricky. We know the Super Event is coming back, and when it does there's 100k solo shards in there. I never open those anyway under normal circumstances, which means in a year I'm bound to have 36 million+ shards again. So saving 45 million seems unnecessary. So they all went.
4hr crystals. That was the painful one. I had almost 10k of them. But once again, I never open them to use them. I *could* one day need them, so I didn't want to open all of them. So I decided to keep about 2500, and open the rest. Yes, a lot of those resources will go to waste, because I'm unlikely to need all those potions. But once again: that's the point. They are doomed to go to waste anyway, today, tomorrow, or sitting unopened for years until the game shuts down or the Sun burns out.
At this point I was well above 100k.
Some other things I did:
Open solo crystals first. The goal was to get all lower rarity champs max sig, so every champion pull after that generated a max sig crystal. Then I opened champion crystals like PHCs and GMCs. I ended up opening about 6000 max sig crystals.
And yes, I did the T4CC dance. All the way to the bottom.

The most hilarious part about fact they had to monkey with the leaderboard a bit:
Look: if 2.1 billion crystals isn't enough, you can keep the title.

Abdo had 71k score and he is 18th.
A lot of heros without the cape up at the top.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... Eyes everywhere, man.
As while he was not the highest crystals opener, he did do something person that the whole community benefit from.
