@KabamDORK@KabamPinwheel We didn’t match for war because of the delay in the season starting. We set it as off for the offseason and 3bg during season. Matchmaking started with offseason settings. Hopefully this war doesn’t count or our season is already ruined.

So does this AW count towards season or not? Didn't really answer the question.

I’m not sure what you mean, because for alliances that either mismatched or failed to match at all, there’s no possible way for that to fix itself automatically. My alliance is one of those on in-season and off off-season and we didn’t match. As of this morning we still aren’t matched, but that’s to be expected. And for alliances that did match but with the wrong number of groups, there’s no possible (automatic) remedy at all because they actually are in a war, just the wrong one. Neither of these can really be mitigated without cancelling war #1 entirely.

Same thought (just replied similar in a different thread, moreso about NO MATCH case though) Or did @KabamDORK just mean that going forward, matches will be found properly (as I think they would have anyways since no matter how the game looked at the times, 2 days later it would obviously be using “in-season” settings). But what about the war that now only has 1 day left to it ?
Dork's reply seemed to infer that “no match” cases should have just received a “late” match, with only 1 day to actually do their war now. Which would probably be against a large difference in War Rating opponent, since not as many fell into that hole.
Or will they just be awarding some “free” Season Points to those who never got a match ? And what about 2 vs 3 or 1 # of BG differences (for those that use different # of BG's IN vs OFF season) ? @KabamPinwheel

No.
We never did match in war, because it used the off-season settings.
Any alliances with different off-season vs in-season settings are either not in a war, or in a war with an incorrect amount of BGs.
The only 'fix' is for this war to not count. Otherwise alliances will be receiving 0 points on the first war, and it will absolutely trash the season.

As the issue was resolved, I see it had a lasting effect. No problem. This is why I checked back in. Okay let me get with the team on this.

The fact that the COMMUNITY MANAGER doesn’t understand implications of bugs tells you everything you need to know about the state of this game. I appreciate pinwheel’s comments about the role of the community manager being the link between players and the game team but the fact that the head of that team didn’t understand that war matching has a lasting effect and not an isolated issue has me extremely concerned about the effectiveness of the communication relay.

I feel you're being exceptionally harsh. They *did* have a fix, and he was inquiring if the fix had helped issues.
He's doing his job by checking in, and asking us about something he didn't understand the extent of. You need to get off your high horse.

It shouldn't. There was a delay, and the delay was fixed, so this may have ( Or may not have ) had different effects on different people. There's nuance in these matters and instead of pretending to know how it affects every single person and give a definitive statement, I rather default to not knowing so I can learn how this is affecting everyone.
