We're deleting all of the posts that break our forum rules.

Could you please do something about it, and tell us what you're doing, instead of just deleting posts because they "break the forum rules"? Clearly we are frustrated and have not been given much information about posts that crop up just about daily at this point. You really could do a much better job addressing (action and communication) these issues.

There is an old idiom about beating a dead horse. I think this qualifies as that which is why those posts keep getting deleted. Just got to let it go.

There is that. But there are many other axioms that point in the opposite direction. From a marketing perspective, Kabam shouldn’t delete these posts, not if they contain reasonable arguments or genuine concerns. Way better to address them. You can fool some players sometime. But you can’t fool all the players all the time.

They already addressed it in a post last week. If you do not believe me here is the link:

While it may not be the answer that you want it is still an answer and the best answer we have gotten so far.

The Moderators are not responsible for fixing issues. They have a job to do, and that is to maintain the Forum and act as a liaison between us and the team. There are a few that have other responsibilities, but there is very little they can do in the way of fixing problems. They relay the information to the team. If things aren't resolved, or there is nothing new to communicate, that's all they have to work with.

They don't even upgrade the T2A storage capacity. Rip all players that has it expiring soon waiting for this update, that getting it from act 5 initial clear and don't have 5* worthy of rank 4.

True. But only in a parallel universe. Ever contacted support? It’s coughing up standard answers. To random questions. Some of those answers resemble English. A few might even be about the actual game. Most aren’t. And none address the issue you contacted them about.

In that (this!) universe, this forum is the only place where players can voice complaints, reasonable or otherwise. And the mods are the only ‘in’ those players have to the development team. If a mod acknowledges, say, their game isn’t optimized for a certain OS or phone. And if that mod also claims that this will be resolved within a certain timeframe, we as players have to put our faith in that. Mods being a relay, and all that. So it stands to reason that people call out those same mods when it turns out that ‘solution’ isn’t gonna materialize in their lifetime. Fair? Unfair? You be the judge. IMHO, mods shouldn’t ‘relay’ untruths or unknowns. And if they do, even accidentally, calling them out may not be pleasant, but dealing with that IS part of the job description.

I've never seen a Moderator give a time frame unless there is a fix in the process of being pushed. If there are issues that are still being worked on, there's nothing else to add. What happens is Thread after Thread pops up, when there are Threads open for those issues, and people wonder why they are closed or deleted. It's right there in the Post on posting. Check to see if a Thread exists. Spamming over and over is not going to fix things any faster, and it just clutters the Forum up. Then they have to do their job, which is to keep the Forum in order.

@Kabam Miike The MODOK bug fix mentioned, will it also fix the issue with MODOK's autoblock triggering parry?

Hey guys. As of right now, it's looking like the fix will be ready for 17.0, but I will post an update if it looks like it's going to make it into 16.1. Thanks again for your patience.

Sure, it’s peppered with all the ‘if’s’ and ‘maybe’s’ that are par for the marketing course, but I think I’m well within my rights if I call this particular mod out on this particular fix. Why do you always side with the company, and never with the customer anyway? I’m honestly curious. Also, what’s a Thread? I know what a ‘thread’ is but you make it sound like a Hideous Monster Under My Bed. Isn’t a ‘Thread’ just a topic a player wants to address? Capitalizing ‘thread’ makes it sound threatening. Why do you do that?

A Thread is a Title for a particular string of comments on a Topic. A thread is a string used for sewing.
I'm explaining how the process works and that they do the best they can given the information they have. Their job is to act as middle-men. If the fix isn't ready, that's out of their control. The comment was that they're working on having it for 17.0. You're criticizing things that are out of their control.

So I'm guessing all those complaints about Synergies not working as advertised in AW and other game modes are not being addressed this build?

They're still looking at that issue. It was mentioned in the AW Seasons Thread.

Yeah this makes 100 percent logical sense.. Lets release new content for existing content with the existing content doesn't even work fully as advertised. Can you provide a reference for where it was mentioned in the AW seasons thread as I just went through it and didn't see it.
    Here.

Copying what I posted in another thread regarding the "new arena." Don't think it's what you guys think it is:

    ---

Assuming it's just another background (ie SHIELD Helicarrier, Oscorp Labs, etc.) and not like a new form of arena. If that's the case then it's a poorly worded job because I was thrown off at first too until I thought about it for a second.

This is correct, and you're right that it can probably be worded better. We'll work on that!

So when is a NEW ACTUAL ARENA going to be input into the game? Or are you guys only going to let us get 5* champs by spending HUNDREDS OF $$$$. “Free to play alright” lmao

The Inventory Capacity for Tier 5 Basics will also be increasing with the 17.0 release! You'll be able to hold on to 6 of those valuable catalysts without worrying about them expiring.

    Anything changed?

    Hey Guys,

This thread is not to discuss bugs, or progress on bugs. If you need more information on a specific bug or issue, please post that in the appropriate Forum and Threads.

Now, a number of the things you have mentioned here are NOT bugs on their own, but performance related issues. These will continue to be addressed as we improve the way the game performs on all Devices.

Lastly, this whole "prioritizing new content over bug fixes" thing that keeps coming up is very wrong. We have very different teams that do very different things. You can't ask a Quest Designer to fix a character bug, or the designers of Alliance Wars Seasons to be focussing on an engineering task, like fixing lagging in certain areas.

    Hey Miike,

What would you resort to if lets say you ranked up your favorite champ (Capt Marvel) to the highest level, utilizing your most valuable resources ranking up this character.

Now, your favorite character you come to realize is BROKEN. You cant even play her properly because the specials get blocked.

You report it and wait. Wait one week, one month, one year and even MORE.

You continue to get told that "they are looking into it" and it's "more complicated than it seems". This issue goes on for more than a year. Sometimes reporting falsely that it's being fixed.

Now you see those same people continue developing new content, fixing bugs that benefit you, the player, but that issue that actually matters to you is left in the dust.

What good does it do asking for an update on your original thread if you have already waited years for this to get fixed.

Not even a character specific rank down ticket can be given, why? Who knows.

Why cant more resources be hired? Its a very simple solution. Can you honestly say that people have been "actively" working on this bug when it takes years to complete?

Honestly Mike what would you do?

I played an MMO before where a persistent bug affected one kind of character type, such that this character type's strongest abilities often times simply failed to operate at all randomly. The devs claimed to try to fix it, but it persisted for several years. I myself contributed to testing and brainstorming regarding the problem. When the problem was finally resolved, it turned out to have almost nothing to do with any of the suggested sources of the problem: it was a subtle race condition in the spawning code for the engine that was impossible to reproduce except under certain live conditions, and no content designer could realistically fix it without entirely new technical mechanics that were not added to the game until years later for different purposes.

Sometimes these things are simple. Sometimes they are not simple. It is impossible for the players to know which is which. And while technically speaking you could just hire more resources, brand new resources hired today would likely be unproductive for a very long time. It takes new hires many months if not longer to become productive in a new game environment. You can't hire some one today to fix technical problems the current staff cannot easily locate and resolve. You'd have to hire new people, train them up to do easy stuff, move the people on the easy stuff to the harder stuff, move the people on the harder stuff to the even harder stuff, divert the people on the even harder stuff to the unresolveable problem, then wait a few months until they come up to speed on it. And while you are doing this, the problem might get solved because of circumstantial changes, and then all that shuffling just cost you time and money, and now you have a bunch of people who have nothing to do. Unless you want to divert them to the next unresolved problem and macarena the entire staff again.

Fact is, everyone here who has an actual job works for a company that could hire more people to serve their customers better, and the question "well, why not then" is fundamentally an unanswerable question.
