So first everybody could use the codes. Now only the first 2 people. What will be next time? Only the first person, but only if you had a 50$ spending in the last 7 days?
Bruh.. youre just making stuff up now because you’re mad you couldn’t read properly.nowhere does it state “everybody” as you just lied. It was a new “fun” (to them lmao)game that was announced by kabam exactly as that. There’s one announcement only.it says get em before anyone else and limited to the fastest.i think it’s dvmb myself but to boldly lie is wild,
Actually he is telling the truth. When codes were first introduced, everyone could use them. Now Kabam is trying a “fun” new system that only allows 2 people to get them. His comment is that next they will only allow codes if you have spent. Not sure where they lied as that is all true. They did not say Kabam said everyone could use today’s code.
There's nothing that says only 2 people can use them. There's been no confirmation of that .
we just got kabamed again 🍒 giveaway code for 5 people - kabam is aiming at this amount of people playing their game in the future obviously - small indie company
Who said the codes are for 5 people?
They said the promo codes were limited to the amount of ppl and they said 2 not 5 like the other person put why they said you need to put on your detective hats and probly why ppl are getting thst error code cause the max amount of ppl already redeemed them
Why do you guys treat your players like trash man I don’t get it. Why do you hate us so much. Why is it so hard just to give every player a prize. Disgusting behavior and then you come on here and say we will take feedback like honestly what a slap in the face. Disgusting people man
Not in their DNA, they were a horrible company before MCOC.
Kabam, 10 years and it seems you don't know your community. Its one of the most entitled communities out there, you can't give secret promocodes to 2 people without having everyone thinking they were the first to put it in...

I watched the whole thing I don't remember them saying 2 people. They said 2 codes but not 2 people.
Will def be taking the feedback. Idea with them is to add a fun additional layer of activity and engagement with the stream....did not anticipate twitch not having the drops on, kind of changed the equation a bit. Regardless though, appreciation the feedback
So this makes it what, the 4th time since Twitch drops have been introduced and the 4th time they haven't worked correctly?
How many times do you guys have to fail to realize that something needs to change?
I wanna push back on this slightly. It is true that some players had issues with drops previously. However, from what we can see the majority of folks were able to collect twitch drops without an issue in previous iterations. The (still important) minority that had issues is something we want to work to improve on, but fundamentally the system worked.
This time the campaign was not live at the correct time, which is a separate issue and one we will review and make sure is corrected.
Ultimately, codes or drops need to have a purpose behind them for us to justify giving them away. We want to work towards giving better rewards but for that to happen we need a system like drops that rewards folks specifically for watching, not just entering a code. There have certainly been roadbumps along the way but its a system we're committed to working with and improving on.
I appreciate the feedback and understand the frustration, but just wanted to lay out our perspective here. Thanks
For the love of god please just make it a promo code on the website - that's what the playerbase wants. I feel bad for all the people who have been waking up early in the morning to leave the Twitch stream running so that they can get the same rewards that players who live in the "correct" timezone get - which isn't equitable.
I know your KPIs are important but the trade-off is player goodwill..

What the hell are you talking about? MCOC was their first game.
Unpopular Opinion: What is the point of promo codes?.. just make an event put the prizes in there. Stick to the giveaways... Promocodes is an avoidable headache. What is even the point of a limited hidden promocode. Just do a raffle and 2 lucky people get it. I don't know why they need to complicate things.

And this is unpopular because???
Because people complain on RNG on crystals, imagine RNG on a raffle...

Because they think people are going to rush to the store to put the promo code in, have it not work and then decided to drop $500 while they’re still there because it was such a fun and enjoyable experience to lose a promo.

You want them to make promo codes for the website to encourage twitch stream viewership?
You say "that's what the playerbase wants." No it is not. Half the playerbase (if not more) doesn't even use the webstore, and would still be left out. What the playerbase wants is for the rewards to just automagically appear in their accounts without having to do anything or go anywhere.
Everyone says the line is drawn wrong, and should be drawn somewhere else instead. And coincidentally, it is always just behind their feet when they do.
Full disclosure: the streams start at 6AM local time for me, so I'm mostly missing out on everything in them myself. I would prefer not to, but I understand encouraging people to tune in. I would hope the playerbase has enough adults in it who see it the same way.

There’s already a raffle in the stream, this week for 5 titans and 5 choice champ (7*) between spider woman and Lumatrix. 10 names get drawn from a hat. They didn’t need to make the promo codes one too

Promo code is not so much a raffle as it is which players are chronically on the website entering every word they say which could potentially be a code first
I thought the point of the engagement was that there are secret codes and the community works together by trying a lot of different ones and then tells everybody. But instead only a few people get it?
Wouldn't this just make people very angry?
Wouldn't a better way to do it be that everyone gets to redeem the code but only the first few get a slightly better reward for finding it first? That way everyone is happy. If it's complicated to have one code do that just make two codes. 1 for the people who find it first and one for the ones who come later.
Feedback taken. Our original intent here was to offer Something for all viewers ( Twitch Drops ), and limited avenues for players to win valuable prizes (Currently there's 5 Titan Crystals, 5 Champion Choice Giveaways ). Secret codes were meant to give another limited avenue for people to win something aside from the raffle style giveaways.

I really don't get how you at Kabam do your reasonings; i can understand and i like the idea of a "secret" promo code, but once it is "discovered" just let people use it for a certain amount of time (like during the livestream), why would you make it available for a small number of users, what is the point?...
Do you think players will find it funny try finding out what the code is (now and in the future) and then typyng it in and get: "You have reached the coupon redemption limit."?!? Loads of fun, right?!?!
You could make it better by giving the first (five?, ten?, twenty?) to redeem the code the best rewards and then for the others "lesser rewards", still wouldn't cut it for me, but it would be a much better system.
Oh and the answer given in chat that was explainig the code had VERY limited uses because the reward was much better than a reunion crystal, do you think that helps you in any way or it may cause more backlash than ever?!?
It is just bad ideas, bad communication and bad design..............and in the worst possible moment...
Is it better to give 1x Titan Nexus Crystal to 5 players or to give 5000 7* shards to everyone using the code during the livestream?!? (i have no idea of the code reward i'm just trying to make an example)
Comments
cause if I send STINGANDAMISS and it's not good I won't be happy
the hidden code that we must put in at the Summoners Market is just bull
why do hidden codes than just announce it
No disappointment
