Re: Arcade Rewards Are Kinda Insane
MCOC offers content that is enjoyable+great rewards, unenjoyable+bad rewards, and everything in between.
I usually just avoid the unenjoyable+bad rewards.
This content I classify as unenjoyable+great rewards.
(Although of course enjoyable is a subjective metric, and quality of rewards as well depending on progression.)
P.S> I always wonder who these "unknown" users whose content gets automatically removed are and what they tried to say.
I mean, I feel like it takes a lot to get autobanned? Given some members post garbage 24/7 without a slap on the wrist.

Re: Radio Silence from the Team + Unaddressed Problems
@KabamPinwheel , Rex’s reply here (still haven’t figured out how to tag him) seems to indicate that the ongoing Mysterium issue is resolved, “has been addressed” and we should stop talking about it. A couple points:Is the team radio silent right now? There have been some very good and relevant suggestions and discussions in forums recently and no communication. There’s also still unaddressed bugs. Here’s an overview from last 2 weeks to this week:
Unaddressed:
- If you didn’t wait to claim the twitch drops until after the event started, you didn’t get the points
- Still no cumulative comp the team was “discussing”
- No news on Titania (wasted r3/r4s with the AI). Still whiffing hits on SP1 as well.
- AI is probably the worst it’s ever been (at least I can intercept now) by holding specials until debuffs fall off, etc. It’s almost as if they react to what’s in their kit/counters and it’s learning. But it should never be to the point of unregistered hits landing and then after the second one AI throws a special to the face…
- Lack of mysterium for first two weeks of crossover
- QOL request pertaining battle groups (they seem to be just suggestions at the moment)
Not asking for all the answers, but some insight/acknowledgement from the team would be nice. Even just a blanket statement saying “we hear you as a player base”.
"If you didn’t wait to claim the twitch drops until after the event started, you didn’t get the points"
- This was addressed. We will be comping the points.
"No news on Titania (wasted r3/r4s with the AI). Still whiffing hits on SP1 as well."
- Wasted is a very, very, very strong word here.
Her Special 1 is still whiffing, I'll poke on that one, but in general there are many cases resulting from 60 FPS where this is happening, and an overall fix is being worked on, this has been on Trello and addressed many times.
The AI bit"Lack of mysterium for first two weeks of crossover"
- I don't exactly understand what clarity you're asking for on this one, in any case, the AI is not "learning." If you elaborate further I might be able to provide more context.
- Mysterium has been addressed multiple times. It wasn't around for 1 week in the build, and the quantities were increased in the latter weeks. The discontent for the Mysterium shift has been passed along to the team.
QOL request pertaining battle groups
- I will also need more specificty here if you want something addressed regarding Battlegroups.
None in the first week of the latest build, and a significantly reduced amount last week (18K instead of the usual 27k, which felt like especially bad timing given the store update). This has finally been corrected by the Future Foundation. Personally, I read the event posts, watched the live stream, etc. and I still had a very different impression of how mysterium would be doled out. So if this was already communicated, it was done so very poorly, and in fragments.
More relevantly, if the team was aware of this info but didn’t bother to take 30 seconds to say
“Hey! No Mysterium week 1, 18k week 2, the 31.5 K weeks 3 and 4”, that is problematic. I’ve watched the community team do this, or straight play the “ignore it til it goes away” game dozens of times. It doesn’t work, causes unnecessary frustration, wastes A LOT of time, and ultimately makes me lose trust in how things are run, fair or not.
Makes you wonder how many other issues you think are resolved or “addressed” that aren’t, at all.

Re: DIMENSIONAL ARCADE, DOOM CYCLE - CHECK IN!
I wish there was a clearer outline of what the strengths and weaknesses of the four champs were. I know what the strengths and weaknesses of their regular MCOC counterparts are but I don't know how that translates into the new game mode, if at all. It seems like they will diverge in various ways as you spec into their respective masteries, but on Day 1 they all felt very samey. Especially if you, like me, initially decided to start speccing into their shared skills until I'd figured out which of them I wanted to focus on.
If I had given any feedback prior to this launching, it would have been to make the introductory story levels free of that energy requirement. I don't have any particular problem with the energy system in and of itself, but it seems like something that suits the latter mode better. I think that it might have been a good idea to let people play through the story mode unobstructed in order to give them a proper feel for and understanding of the new game mode, and then introduce the energy system after that. As it stands, it felt as if I ran into a roadblock during the prologue, which I found rather off-putting.
On the plus side, I do like the RPG opportunities when it comes to the mastery setup. I've always enjoyed tinkering with stuff like that in games, and it was something that I enjoyed tinkering with in MCOC proper back in the day before I settled on my current setup. It's fun to be able to do that again. I do wish there was a way to see how masteries progressed, though. Let's say the first points give you 2% extra crit chance. What do point 2 and 3 do? Do they each also just add 2% extra crit or are the numbers different in future tiers?
The mode also feels a bit impatient at times. The dialogue ticks along whether you've read through it or not and I think there was a timer somewhere after the fight that auto-chose one of those post-fight buffs for me when I had to put the phone away for something. I don't really understand the need for these small stressers in a solo game mode.
All in all, I'm...curious...about how this will turn out. I can see this becoming more fun once you really start building out your masteries, but the Day 1 experience was rather lacklustre.

Re: Arcade Rewards Are Kinda Insane
The fact that the rewards are good is to say the least.. annoying
Like the whole thing is hot trash and then we are forced to engage with it to get the “good rewards”
