“Relic Items Are Not part of The Reward Budget”
Given kabam has stated that relic items are not part of the regular reward budget and hence do not replace any reward (ie they are only a bonus), why is the direct analog of the titan shards in the valiant selector relic items for the two progression tiers below it?

Hood benefits from it far more. (R4 Hood here)Curious on that R4. Mine is unduped rank 2 and I love his play style in the game. What will you say are some of his sleeper fights(fights that your opponent in BG thinks he wouldn't be able to take but he does)?

Somewhat agree with OP. I’m in Mysterium with 11 R4s, for context. I’m happy paying money for special edition champs like Dark Phoenix and I do think they should be useful in BGs to make them valuable. I’m very happy with my HT and RG but don’t think they should’ve been locked to spenders (maybe 20k units is ok, not 39k).
Completely disagree with anyone crying about matchmaking in GC. Level playing field there, stop asking for an easy ride.
I took a break for a year and have more R4s than some folks who’ve consistently placed master in AW and celestial in BGs.
Spending should be on limited edition variants of characters (Dark Phoenix, WWX, World Breaker Hulk?, white iron fist lol). Rank up materials should be available to everyone so people can keep up. Obviously some rank up materials need to be in offers but it is a bit ridiculous atm. And that’s coming from someone who buys all those offers so I stand to benefit.

By my estimate, you're like the 2367th person to post here on the forums about how you don't understand how a competition works and how BGs works.by my estimate, it seems like it’s your job to live on this forum and white knight kabam under every single person’s opinion about the game, every hour of the day. it seems like you’re worthless.

Out of all of the battlegrounds complaint posts, this is the only one I respect and somewhat agree with. I’m in a very similar account situation as you. Yes, it does feel a little unfair. Yes it gets frustrating. But will it kill the game? No. This is actually what’s keeping the game alive. Without spenders, there is no MCOC. So I’ll deal with it and be occasionally frustrated, but I’ll also be happy that this game continually have new content because people are willing to pay to play it.

The gamemode is by design meant to be competitive. But at least for vt kabam NEEDS to fix matchmaking - matching up someone with 2 rows of r4 7* against a paragon, fresh valiant, or pretty much any ftp player is unfair no matter what way you look at itYou're competing for the same rewards, you're thrown in with everyone else

It is competitive, if you don't have counters to hard defenders and can't ban them all then you need to build your roster up moreOk. First of all, I can't just ban those 3 every time because then I face Serpent, Serpent and more Serpent.I have fought about 30 battlegrounds matches this season. EVERY SINGLE ONE I EITHER FOUGHT ONSLAUGHT, ENCHANTRESS OR BULLSEYE. Usually more than one of them and often all 3.If you hate fighting those three specifically, why don't you simply ban them when they come up? You've got three bans. Seems like a fairly easy solution.
I have two very different answers depending on what you're main complaint is. If it is that you are constantly facing stronger accounts than your own, I think that's a pretty justifiable complaint. Kabam also recognizes this and are (IIRC) working on a new BG mode that's a bit more casual.
However, if your main complaint is that other accounts simply have those champions, then my advice is unfortunately just to find counters for them and put them in your deck.
My main complaint is besides the unfair matchmaking is that it isn't a competitive mode at all. It's whoever was lucky enough to pull 4 or 5 specific champs, wins.
Also, my second complaint is that it isn't fun fighting the same impossible fights over and over again. Why can't Kabam just block like 5 champs from being used and let people actually be competitive with the rest of the champs that don't need one or two specific counters.
Secondly, when you say "Kabam is working on something". It's that the same as when they were "working on" upgrading the act 6 rewards which is 7 months in now and still doesn't exist or when Kabam was "working on" making battlegrounds fair only for them to "oops we placed everyone in the wrong tier and it's more unfair than ever and then did it again a second month in a row, oops again lol"?
