I am genuinely curious what’s wrong with expiring energy refills? When we don’t even have the agency to sell expiring high value items, what’s this fascination with reducing energy refills because it expires from stash?
Who is it hurting really if a refill or 2 expire from my stash? Is it hurting me? The gaming community? Or the developers? No matter how rationally I think about it and be logical, I am clearly not understanding the ill effects of expiring energy refills.

TBH I feel the changes to the energy issue is utter garbage. Look at what energy it costs to do dailies for interest. 2-3 energy per tile in a daily is just not on at all let alone the cost for the new EQ starts from 3 per tile and goes to 5 per tile I mean WTF. And now KABAM want to take away our option to open free crystals (Which are not 4hours anymore) we have to do super daily to get those now, I feel it straight forward theft from KABAM.
Can tell you this now they will nerf how many units you can farm in the game to null soon at the rate they are going. Wake up KABAM and stop screwing us your loyal players over like this now its past a joke!!

Idk what's happening with kabam. But TBH it was better when Kabam Jax and Mike was community manager. I don't wanna say this I felt wierd changes happening in mcoc after Dave and Kartemike joined kabam as community manager also response got delayed as well on major issues...
I really don't know who is taking these decisions. But I said what I felt. It seems like kabam only thinking about 1% player based that's it..
Here are some key points felt gone wrong since couple of months
- Adaptive EQ is worst
- They started limit the champion base for quests WOF and 9.3. it was not there from 7.1 to 9.2 so why now..I can get it for end game content.
- Now this energy refills changes which is major IMO. Even they are talking about to removing it from 4hr crystal that means you have to buy it you need and want to complete content faster.
- Now SQ difficulty also increased in comparison to previous but reward is mid.
- No buffs for incursion and loyalty store since so long.
Here is some good points which happened
- Daily Quest change is so good
- Introducing radiance currency because of that BG got its worth.
- Raid month was good. IMO it should be parmanent…less time consuming
TBH I used to be crazy about this game 4-5 months ago. But now I am losing interest of this game or may be I will leave this game forever and take my life back.

Seems like kabam doesn't want us to play their game, I WILL NOT spent units for energy, will enter, auto the dailies and log off, just pathetic decisions after pathetic decisions.

Imagine you run a business that runs on a try-before-you-buy model. Your business is simple, you want as many people in your store as possible for as long as possible, entrance is free, you hand out free samples, and you want them addicted to your product as fast as possible so they can start buying.
The nerf to energy only does the following:
-browsing customers get half as many samples and when they do the portion sizes are way smaller so they're less engaged with the product
-they get harassed by the shopkeeper to "buy something or get out!"
-and they have a new "security" policy that starts quickly kicking out non-spenders for "loitering"
Basically the entire business goes from a friendly, relaxed, come-as-you-please, stay-as-long-as-you-like atmosphere into a brow-beating high-pressure sales environment that treats its customers like walking wallets.
This change kills engagement, takes agency away from players, and secretly gives Kabam what they've always wanted: gets players to spend on DOING their content, not just with energy but it de facto kills revive farming, forever!
If they release another fun and interactive piece of content like necropolis for the next progression title in a few months, and it needs 400-600 revives, good luck farming that.
This change does nothing but ruin engagement for f2p and casual spenders and gets the hardcore base to do something they haven't done in a very very long time, spend on revives and refills not just regularly but for their hardest content.
Throughout the year players will lose a lot of units and Kabam will get more $$$ but will they compensate by putting out cheaper offers during their big sales? Will the unit store on Cyber Monday get lowered from 59k units worth of stuff like it was last year to 30k? Not a chance in hell.

Daily essentials - 10 per path , 20 full exp , 2/tile
Supply Quest - 30 per path, 60 full exp , 3/tile
Monthly Quests:
Classic Difficulty - 298 completion , 1250 full exp (24 paths) *have not included elder difficulty here, 6 long paths in total, about 60- 70 energy per quest. Image how that'd be lol)

Quest 1 - 36 per path, 108 full exp(3 paths) , 3/tile
Quest 2 - 36 per path, 108 full exp(3 paths) , 3/tile
Chap 2
Quest 3 - 48 per path, 192 full exp(4 paths) , 4/tile

Problem:
The daily units are transferred to the daily quests
(ends up costing 60 energy per day)
The daily essentials are a must to grind cause it's a main source of gold, if we dont do that we fr gonna be struggling for gold , most ftp players already to including me lol.

Battlegrounds daily objectives 15 energy a day, if u lose u gotta spend 15 more cause the objectives are all about winning, losers rnt tolerated lol. (you gotta win, not play about 3 matches every 2 days)
This totals to 95 energy per day we spend on daily things. The more fun part is autofighting takes 80 energy. If a person who is coming online about 2-3 times a day, he has to just waste one of those times autofighting. Autofighting content really should not cost so much energy, come on guys!
The side quest is to be done 4x a week, that's 9 more energy to be spent, 4x a week
On top of all this, the event quest has a ridiculously high cost for energy!! 1 path and energy's all over(sometimes 2)
EXPLAINATION---
If it is not already obvious till here, Let me state it bluntly.
Rather than before, when we could do everything we had in the game, we now have to make a choice at every step. On a daily basis , We can either do daily quests or, a path or two of event quests, but never both. So if you do a path of the event quest chap 3 , you will have to sacrifice on about 2 of the daily quests. The more you do in the event quests the more you have to sacrifice on the daily stuff and it is very directly proportional to eachother.
And since we are to spend atleast 95 energy per day on the daily formalities, adding the side quests to it and the event quests to those becomes about 150ish energy to spend in a day lol. God forbid if i play 4-5 extra matches of bgs thoughout a day i'mma be losing on all my daily and event quest rewards lol. The way we are supposed to do everything is so strict, tight and straightup unreasonable right now. Because we cant really afford to quit and restart quests too, no margin for error because anything we do now, in the end it will cost us so damn much energy that by the end we will have to leave a portion of content incomplete cause we wont have any energy for it. Something like energy should not be a part to worry about. If a person is unavailable for 2 or 3 days to play properly , that person will def not be able to complete his event quests, if he wants to, he has to miss out more of the daily quests and battlegrounds stuff than he has already.
Fully exploring the classic difficulty, along with the elder difficulty out of the question lol. (just look at the number of paths in total and the energy cost listed above.) If we dont play we miss out on so much, if we do play we still have to choose what to not play and lose rewards for. The way we are to play and spend energy on is so restrictive currently its really not fun anymore. The weird part about this is , all this energy takes a few mins to deplete,
IF A PLAYER IS PLAYING THE GAME AFTER A GOOD AMT OF HOURS, HE SHOULD HAVE THE LEEWAY TO PLAY WHATEVER HE WANTS WITHOUT IT HAVING A MAJOR EFFECT ON WHAT REWARDS HE LOSES , THE CHANGES MAKE IT NOT THAT WAY. THE PLAYER SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME FOR A LONG TIME AND ENJOY IT, WHICH CANT HAPPEN SINCE YOU LOST THE FULL BAR OF POWER AFTER 1 QUEST. ARENA GRINDING IS BORING AND GOT NO REWARDS AND IN AW AND AQ THERE ARE BARELY ANY FIGHTS TO DO.
None of this includes story content, back isses, necropolis and long form content , etc , for people who rnt valiant story content is especially imp. , the gauntlets take so much time and prep to do; which i really like tbh, but it cant be done in one sitting by everyone, so we now have to lose rewards if we choose to do any of these thigs. How do we do that along with the daily and the monthly stuff? on top of this we only get 1 full energy refill a month lmaoooo.

4hr crystals gave everyone a surplus of energy, so we are removing that from those crystals by assuming how everyone opened the crystals lol(which is not true for progressing players, we often need revives and open them crystals much more often since we have to do stroy content a lot too and we arent the most metal sonic dude level skilled players.) so none of the progressing players have energy surplus which you guys just assumed to be true based on what you guys saw on youtube videos. They're on top of the game ofc they dont have to open those crystals everytime lol. they dont have to for their fair reasons. But just using that as a base for every player and removing refills is not the brightest thing to do. It is the brightest thing to do however if you want a reason to monopolize the energy in the game. And i get that ya'll wanna do that, even as an ftp i really dont care but this is just a messed up way to do so.
The other solution was:
SOLO RAIDS WERE TOO ENERGY-HEAVY ON THE PLAYERS SO ENERGY COST REDUCED FROM 3 TO 1, THANK US LATER.
I dont even know what to say about this really , it's such a sad thing to do, even if it were to be 5 no one would be affected by it. It's like faking effort to show that you guys are fixing and trying to improve things but in the end you guys belive what you did was correct and want things your way only, i hope this post showed you where you guys were wrong,
My solution:
Reduce the energy costs for daily events to 2 for every quest, reduce it to 3 for every event quest and if ya'll dont even give us any extra energy refills on top that we'd be fine with it. We just dont want to come online only to have our energy go to 0 after 1 or 2 quests which depending on the progression, people can do within minutes lol. This causes a lot of sacrifice in the rewards we earn and a lot of restrictions on how to move forward with the way we play the game , even for the most casual and relaxing of stuff. This game was so relaxing before it really aint that way now.

It's like, if these people had a loved one to hug, they wouldn't have the "vitriol and anger and mob mentality" in the first place. Why do you think these cretins come to the forum to rant and rave in the first place? Because they're miserable in their personal lives and use the game as a proxy for their beef with the real world.
Constructive criticism is cool, but most people here ain't interested in that.
There is no version of the game that would satisfy them—because their unhappiness isn’t rooted in the game. It’s rooted in their lives, their identity, their unmet needs.
That's why every time one of their complaints gets addressed, they abandon the topic and move on to a new complaint, something new to rage about because what they need isn't a better game, it's (as they themselves say constantly in this thread): "to feel heard"; "to feel respected"; "to feel loved."
But how is a Kabam dev supposed to do that? To make these people feel like they matter when the real world will always tell them they don't? They act like Crashed or the other devs are their mommy/daddy and they whine like emotional teenagers about the world being unfair.

Yeah, This is something we're tackling at the moment. Long story short, it was a legacy upgrade as our old theme was no longer compatible with the new system. Unfortunately, that broke a lot of custom styling and layout that we previously had. Good news is, the upgrade brought along with it some cool features we now have access to and currently in the process of updating. Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Stay Tuned.

Energy is a unit metric, lots of games have this mechanic…none has ever thought removing it would be the answer.
Communication, we need more of it, but seeing some reactions, I can appreciate why the mods stay away.
Monetization, well, we can see it going in that direction with so many sales, but I think even whales who spend on sales are going to be annoyed spending on little things like energy.
Crash taking the hit, its corporate politics….he has to say yes to the boss because, he needs his job, he likes his job…
We can blame everyone linked to the game, praise past mods for their vision, hate how corporate has taken over…or
We limit our playtime and enjoy life, not take this so seriously anymore…breath and catch our breath…or be more interested in the drama and want to just be pissed off like the rest of the world…
10 plus years in, I'm at a point where I just don't care too much, I play for fun, I don't spend anymore, I don't need that "new" champ as badly as everyone else because the state of the game renders it useless.
This game is on the same track as many others, at some point First Fight, Marvel Rivals or something else will take over my interests…the money I've spent (and not a small amount), well lets say it was for my hobby, like snowboarding trips or scuba diving in Bali…its gone.
They will take the energy now, next will be units in Arenas…whats afetr that…who knows…
Guys, catch your breath, for those of you that work in the real world, these guys are doing their jobs to maintain their livelihood, whether their decisions are good or not…doesn't matter…their humans trying to pay bills. Vitriol and Anger and Mob mentality… just dumb.
It ain't that serious….its a mobile game and even after 10 years…it hurts but it is what it is.
