Re: Bring back weekly to bi-weekly maintenance!
It’s no longer needed. If you want to be unnecessarily locked out of the game just go outside for a bit.

What 6* should I choose??
I’ve heard great things about Tigra but don’t know if I should leave Odin out of question.
What would you guys pick!?

PARDON OUR DUST!
As many of you have seen already, your friendly neighborhood MCOC Forums are actively undergoing a few updates an upgrades. So things may be a little bit visually inconsistent over the next few days as we settle in on our optimizations.
Thanks as always for all the great feedback you've given us as this is in part in direct response to our beloved Summoners!
Thanks and well catch y'all on the Flip Oooooo.. BATTLEREALM!

Re: Is 6 star still worth to rank up to rank 4 or rank 5?
Depends on the hero.
I managed to get the most powerful and most coveted hero, so she went to 6* r5 with Max sig and ascended.

Re: The communication from Kabam lately has been terrible
This is not something I wish to shy away from. Just need a little time to figure out the best way to do this moving forward. It needs to be organized and easy to follow. Stay tuned!@KabamDORK One thing that would have a major impact on the player morale if the Bugs and Issues forums were properly moderated. I mean, at least attaching a tag to report threads that it is being looked into/worked on would help us not feel like we’re shouting into an empty void. Currently there is no form of acknowledgement of reported issues in the bug forums, and that combined with the ever persistent QA issues doesn’t really help the company’s reputation. So true. I remember when each month there was a stickied mod post in that section of the forums outlining current bugs and status (see link below). That went away a long time ago and now the bugs section is a god awful mess.
As a personal example, I raised that the new UI changes made parts of the text unreadable and buttons unaccessible on phones with camera cutouts/islands, as they no longer have a safety padding to avoid being overlapped by non-interactable parts of the screen. Although it clearly should have been caught in testing, mistakes do happen, and admitting them (with a tag or even a one liner response) would definitely make people more hopeful, supportive and patient towards the actual fixes.

But I get it, Kabam doesn’t want to keep a list of known bugs and issues on the forefront. It makes them look incompetent.
Re: ACT 9 - CHAPTER 1: REVELATION
This really feels like the rank 3 treadmill is starting to turn up which is exciting. I'm ready to give this one a try. The rewards look good. I also am looking forward to cracking another Titan to try for something good.If you want to crack somethin good from the titan it's better to hold it off until October.
Who’s waiting for next titan pool or next next titan pool in December?
I been hoarding since I duped my serpent and pulled these from last 2 titan pools and been saving.
Wheres everyone at?
Want to dupe 7* beta and nefaria, since we already waiting and getting banquet tickets I think in the long run I’ll wait till December so 2025 can start off in a bang.
And October champs looks promising. With the leaks 🎃

Re: Subtle, but good forum change
We're fine tuning it still haha, part of getting the automatic colors back and notification of when we've posted in a thread. Still work in progress but do think its a big improvement from not being there at all haha
A Look Back - Defenders
A combination of the ongoing 10-year anniversary, and another thread asking about overrated defenders, had me remembering the earlier days of MCoC - and I'm thinking I'll do a bit of a mini-series of looking back at how different the world of MCoC was in years gone by.
So - let's start this one by thinking about old defenders, especially the ones we'd place in War, and the strategies that we used to employ.
For starters - here's what the AW map looked like in 2016:
It was a very different experience to war now.
- Linked Nodes
- Hidden Defenders
- Unblockable SP1 or 2 nodes were among the most dangerous, although I seem to recall Infinity Blast was the most BS
- THORNS!!
Strategy-wise we would actually take masteries to help us see what classes we were coming up against and then try to guess who the opponent would be in order to counter them, we had to friggin guess!
There were the usual suspects of Defenders back then - of course Magik (post-buff) was arguably the toughest, but it was a big call whether to put her on defence or keep her for offence because she was the best counter to herself, especially on the node where she starts with 2 bars of power.
Electro was another common opponent - but there was large conjecture whether putting him on the Thorns node was a genius or pointless action, considering if you had a counter for him (max sig Black Widow, or maybe Elektra) then both him and the node were obsolete, whereas putting him on another node (unblockable SP1 or 2 were also common placements) and putting a different defender on thorns meant that attackers had to plan out multiple things; alternatively if they DIDN'T have a counter for him then putting him on Thorns effectively stonewalled attackers through that path.
Then we had the Unblockable Special nodes, it's almost laughable now when dexing specials is virtually part of standard play and unblockable specials are basic kit, but back then they were a massive headache. Unblockable SP1 saw all kinds of projectile-based defenders put up, like Iron Man (both OG and Superior) and Iron Patriot, Cyclops was of course VERY common and caused all kinds of headaches ( @KabamDORK put up a whole video trying to educate the masses on how to dex his specials when he was an AQ boss) while War Machine was guaranteed damage with his, fortunately it wasn't MUCH damage Then there was Spider-Man, whose SP1 being unblockable made him even more of a **** defender while you had to dance around his Evades on top of it.
Meanwhle the unblockable SP2 saw OG Storm as a common defender, Scarlet Witch, and the aforementioned Electro.
Finally the boss. There was a time that virtually every AW boss was Ultron, and a common strategy was to beat him down to 50% and then immediately quit out when his regen triggered because you couldn't do squat about it since he was stun immune. Then Attacker #2 would go in and try to beat him down to 25% to trigger the next regen, and quit again. Finally #3 would finish him off. And that's if everyone did their job. Woe betide you if you triggered his Regen and somehow screwed it up so that he'd heal up significantly.
I know there were many more more examples, but that's where the discussion comes in. What are some of your memories of the old days of MCoC? Or for the players who only joined the game well after 12.0, what stories just make you shake your head as to how we ever survived?
