Best Of
For the Red Hulk Haters 😘
There was recently a thread asking for suggestions for Node 49 Zola (season 59 tac)
Myself and a few other players suggested IH (my alliance mate already tested and she is a good option) but I also mentioned I'm gonna cook it with RH if I get a chance.. had a couple disagrees or dislikes so felt compelled to come back and post 🙃

Re: Science Showdown: Spider-Woman vs. Nefaria
Yeah, they are completely different champs. Hard to find another champ with the survivability Nefaria has along with his ability to ignore the class wheel. Tack on the damage, immunities/resistances, and ability to control a fight...well, let's just say he's a powerhouse.
Jessica isn't without her utility either, but she's a lot of fun, big damage that bypasses safeguard, and hard counters Enchantress. Tack on the furies, shocks, and poison immunity, she's great. As with most of the top-end science champs, you can pick one and run with them and not feel bad about the rank up.

Re: IRON MONGER WHEN???
Feel like if we got him it would be a mix between this design and the comics version, feel like that would be pretty sick. Generally speaking though there's a lot of iron man villains that I think we should get like crimson dynamo, titanium man, living laser etc
Re: State of BGs Post-J4
Compulsory BG is full of whales post after July deals.True, but at least I kept the ranting civil and dressed it up with a screenshot example.
Anyway, it was cool when I was participating in these sales, but I decided to skip this one entirely just as an experiment for myself, and now I see how it's a huge problem.
Call me a hypocrite.
Or call me a prodigal son.

Haha. Funny to see a rant from your side.

This is not new, happens after every sales event. Competitive f2ps have stopped ranting on sale events. Nothing they say will change whatever kabam has decided.
People were expecting 8 r4s. 2023 July deals actually broke the economy. They are never going to let it happen again if you ask me.
I saw someone said they bought every single offer and can r4 7 champs. So that honor is reserverd for sweaty megalomaniacs dropping thousand dollars weekly.
Stopped pushing for a reason. Me as a f2p have played in top 30 aq for an year. It was surprising at one time that I had the higest prestige in the ally. But that's not possible in this aggressive monetized era.
Don't really care about the game or the whales or the pros or the noobs or anyone else. Got a small little circle that have fun together.
Enjoying the game on my alt account doing all old stuff and rebuilting. The journey is fun. Buying out everything is never going to be fun.
Keeping the passion alive and occasional rants about whalelocked normal champs not trophy champs that eveyone loves.

Re: No Sage Incursion Carry Sign Up for Next Month, so plan accordingly
If anyone on this forum deserves a special title in-game, it’s @willrun4adonut , for all the summoners he helped along the way…
@KabamDORK can you make it happen?

Re: A fair process for battlegrounds drafts need to be in place.
It’s not a pure skill mode and the easiest way to get frustrated is to think it is skill. The average player match will be decided most times on RNG:
1) your opponent selected for you
2) draft options
3) AI behavior.
You can influence #2 a lot by roster size, but eventually your ceiling will be people with similar rosters.
You are playing a card game, trying to maximize your deck, and then hoping RNG goes your way in the fight. Skill can help you climb… but it’s elite skill that makes the difference. There’s a reason the same people play on celestial every season.
If you are a mere MCOC mortal… and you draw bad luck on the draft, play it out and see if your opponent messes up or if the RNG screws them. If not, just take the L and don’t take it as anything more than it is. “It’s the worst feeling” because you are thinking BGs should be all about skill. It’s not. Sometimes it’s just Texas Hold’em.

Re: Trying to reconcile the “deals are bad” vs “the deals give an unfair advantage” paradox.
3. The unfair advantage: a newly made valiant can just skip all the content I worked my ass for, and get almost the same number of r4s I have for cash. This cheapens my effort, and is due to the fact Kabam skipped a progression level for 7r4s.I agree with all your points but do have to push back on this one.
On the other hand someone who decides to go all in after putting in the work in game will have 14 r4 champs - which will put him way ahead in competitive modes.
These two scenarios just promote FOMO, and might force someone unwilling or unable to spend - to spend nevertheless just to keep up.
Players are a little too precious about the "effort" they put in and thinking that money shouldn't allow a player to achieve equal footing if they didn't put in the same effort.
This is a game - ostensibly it is fun (whether it is in collecting champions, fighting matches, or feeling accomplished by achieving some personal milestone) and wastes some time. While the dopamine hit from rewards and the openings from the rewards is undeniable, there should still be something beyond the rewards itself that most players play this game for.
Theoretically a player that played Necropolis achieved something personally, on top of the rewards. A "new Valiant" player that buys those same rewards does not have that sense of personal achievement. Does it "cheapen your effort"? Only if you think the only point of playing this game/endgame mode is the rewards you end up with.
I do agree with the concern of "needing to spend to keep up", but that is only in competitive modes, and only if you fancy yourself as swimming in that pool. For most players, I would wager that it is not a big concern at all, since most players are not spending enough to where they would be in that high spending cohort. For most players who match up against someone with a similar roster strength, it doesn't matter if you got a 7R3 from Necropolis and they got a 7R3 from buying July 4th offers.
