Not participating in a flex thread. Some of us have less r4s, or waiting for the champs we love to play with to level up, and we re happy. We re not spending for prestige or showing off, if we spend, we do for having fun playing the game.

Stone is a fantastic player and well liked member of the community. It's his choice to spend that money because it's viable for him to do so. I am envious of him that he can but that doesn't mean he shouldn't. Personally I agree that the spending gap is getting too big now for most players. But there are also players in celestial that have far far less R4 but still make it up there purely from their insane skill levels. Play to the best of your ability with the roster you have and just try to have fun! That's what the point of the game is.

I appreciate lots of folks would choose neither, as disposable income varies greatly country to country, state to state even. It's up to the consumer to determine what brings them satisfaction and what's that worth to them. If 50+ hours a week for a decade engaging with this game is worth x amount of money to someone, I don't begrudge that. Can you begrudge the company for squeezing blood from a stone? Of course, but this is the path they've chosen.
