I read back and am even more concerned with Kabam Crashed's response earlier saying they'll see how much to charge for her when they have more data. It gives off a bad look like "We want to make sure we squeeze as much out of the players as we possibly can instead of setting a base cost we feel she's worth", you should have known the cost before you announced her in my opinion

*looks at human torch*Certainly can’t argue with that. The “What it costs” by Kabam has grown so exponentially and at such a rapid rate, as of late, that I’m finding my interest diminishing at an almost equal rate.
If you expected differently at this point i really dont know what to tell you man. Prepare to be let down by whatever they announce and thay way it'll only feel slightly bad when it turns out worse than that
The first champ I ever earned in arenas was a 3* (yes, you read that right. 3*) Magik. So after all this waiting for a 6* or 7* version of her; the news of “the cost” did not set well with me.

They way they sold count nefaria and bastion are fine, you'll Even get them as ftp in a few months. But locking champ, that too meta champs like red guardian and human torch for years (unknown amount of time), it is just using the fomo to make whales spend on it.

I would like to have Viv because of her kit, and I can get interested in anti-venom a little bit because he does some unique things. Have a little sentimental attachment to DV for carrying me in the olden times.
Barring major updates to their kits, I couldn’t care less about Sabretooth, Cull and skateboard guy.
All up, if I get zero of these champs I won’t blink an eye.

I remember when whe had to play semi-casually to earn cool deathless champions, not grind the top100 in battlegrounds to earn some resource, which then I can't spend on anything else to obtain an old champ deemed "too powerful". Good ol' times

I think one thing that rubs me the wrong way, is the platinum passes. They are good don't get me wrong. But at the same time they are too good. In that the amount of free units they give away every 3 months. Paired with the units people grind from arenas and buying unit deals , its obviously too many units and then kabam says we'll because yall now have too many units, unit spending events will now cost double or almost triple what the used to. The problem is, kabam created that imbalance themselves and it somehow is the players problem.

Relic materials have always had their own reward budget and never took away from anything else.We found out today that 4/5 items can be used on Statcast, see how time is a very important part of the equation?The Reliquary comes with 7 items.The fact that kabam sold crystals last week (and still are) that are worthless in a month as they “have no plans to make any more battlecasts”. Classic bait and switchAny one that spent $100 buying a Reliquary that genuinely thought they would be able to use them on Statcasts is a fool.

And then 5 relic-based materials.
4 out of 5 of these Relic items can be used on Statcast Relics.
Why are we pretending like Relics were the only rewards in Battlegrounds for 2 years?
Criticize everything you want to, but do so objectively.
Do you think anybody would have bought the reliquary deal had thet known this? Do you think they would have used 4/5 mats on relics instead of saving them for statcasts?
Can you objectively answer those questions as a former player and not an employee?
Radiance, quite literally, fixed the main issue about Battlegrounds rewards.
Enough with the "company man" stuff, dude. I'm sitting here at 3 am my time - way way way way WAY past my work hours having this discussion with you. If you're not going to be respectful, I won't continue.
Do I think anybody would have bought a relic deal consisting of 3,000+ units and 2>3 gems that can be used on the new relics? Yes.
I understand you're upset that Statcasts are using different Shard sources, but you're funneling your anger in the wrong direction.
Do I understand why it can't be the same shards? In a way I do. I know there are way too many battlecast shards out there. I also do understand that it reached a point similar to Solo crystals, it was neglected for so long that buffing them would be counter productive.
Players like me are not asking for the same crystal, not even a 1-1 shard trade off; but at least some kind of trade off that would make the shards worth more than a pile of embers that I have been selling on expiration.
If not even a trade off make it so dupping a battlecast would give statcast shards.
