It's not using Practice Mode to hit Objectives, or running Auto Play for Milestones. It's manipulating the scoring in a PVP comparison of performance. No performance means no Points. It's just a loop hole is all. It's definitely cheating in my books.C'mon bro everything is fair in love and bgs. Especially when kabam make stupid metas like current one where champs like serpent and almost unbearable, pausing seems to be a "viable strategy" even if it's dirty one.Well one could argue that if someone scored under 15k, the person didn't do much "fighting" either, more like taking a beating and should accept the lost and move on...That's not taking a beating. That's losing to someone who did no fighting at all. One Player fights to the best of their ability and is scored based on that. Another does nothing and gets 15k and a free ride. How anyone can blame the person who actually fought is beyond me.
Ask kabam to not make metas where pausing gives you more points than playing in general lol.
Edit : I actually completely agree with your point, doing nothing and getting 15 k might seem unfair but in some metas that seems like the only option in certain matchups.
And as long as it's not cheating, trust me not many players cares about ethics in a mobile game.
I am not really against pixie suggestion of removing pause if it's possible. But rn the best they can do is not designing very limiting metas that encourage pausing.

1. As a 7.7 million valiant and alliance leader, I can handle any and every defender on any node but not every member in my alliance are as strong as me, if they find it difficult, they give up and chances are the alliance loses the war bcos of the weakest links in the alliance
This forces the alliance leader to either kick the weakest players from the alliance or lose AW. This is brutal for weak players who cannot handle defenders with huge healthpool that requires specific attackers, I used to carry AW as MVP in the old format and I don't have to think about kicking weak players from my alliance (By weak, I'm referring to new valiant accounts)
Weak players are getting kicked everywhere they go so the playing experience is really bad for them right now, they need a good alliance to help them grow but strong alliances doesn't want weak players so they get kicked left right centre
2. 10 defenders, 10 players means 100% participation and 100% is hard to come by in this game, 1 BG is easily possible, 2 BG is difficult and 3 BG means your alliance have to have 30 hardcore players
Even with 48 hours for them to join and play, some players are casual valiants and it's hard for the alliance leadership to chase after every player every 48 hours
I can be strict and kick every player who doesn't play but that means constant kicking bcos many players are simply casual players
AW is brutal in that if the new valiants can't defeat the defender bcos they lack the roster to counter the defender, they can easily be kicked
This is very bad playing experience for newer players
50% of older valiants (4 million and above) are quitting the game based on the large number of valiants joining my alliance
I have no choice but to kick those who stopped playing but those who are still playing and struggling should be given a chance to grow and learn the game

Pausing or not, BG is a mess with no easy solution. You have giant accounts camping in VT, but you also have high accounts just coming into BG for the first time. What can we do besides stop playing BG?Nah dude see you are falling on that stupid speech that everything can be punished with no margin of error. Recent events should have taught you better.
If you consider that pausing for the duration of the entire fight is both poor sportsmanship AND a time suck maybe consider the following.
1) Penalty for running out the clock
- 1000 points if you start a match and run out the clock drafting a team and then run out the clock picking attackers and defenders.
- These are the boneheads that put the device down and let the game automatically draft the champs after 25 seconds all 4 rounds, and then auto pick the attacker and defender after 15 seconds each fight. Total time wasted when they do this is 160 seconds. That's 3 minutes wasted before you even get to fight.
- Maybe consider detecting input, as well. If you at least PICK a champ and then let the clock run out then no penalty? There could be a legit reason you need to run the clock down to prepare for the fights.
2) Penalty for pausing
- 2000 points if you pause at least 20 seconds. Additional -1000 for every 10 seconds pause. The system should aggregate the total pause time in case people pause/unpause to cheat
- There are reasonable excuses for pausing during a fight, however, considering a match is 120-130 seconds, you should be penalized for pausing longer than X seconds. Let's say you are amazing and take out your defender in 15 seconds each fight, pausing 2 full fights wasted about 3 minutes 30 seconds.
3) Automatic forfeit if no input detected for 2/3 fights
- If you don't actually fight then the match is automatically forfeit
- If you aren't actually going to play then you should be penalized
4) Factor forfeits into seeding for next season
- Forfeits should be weighted lower when factoring where you are seeded.
- For each forfeited match, consider either the base hero rating OR summoner prestige of the account that forfeited. For example,
-- if I win because a higher value account forfeits and "gifts" me a win, that win should be valued less when seeding me in the next season.
-- if you win because you forfeited against a lower value account and "gift" me a win, that win should be valued less when seeding you in the next season.
-- figuring higher/lower should be flexible, maybe a 20% differential in base hero rating or summoner prestige?
The numbers are of course just spitballing, but they would have to be high enough to discourage this behavior.
The run out the clock because its "idiots who put their phones down"? You got no idea how many times I had the loading wheel yesterday and the game went from 6 seconds left to 0 and auto drafted my team. Should I started a match punished cause the game lagged?
The rest has been talked to death. Matchmaking is what it is.

I don't pause at all. I actually think pausing the entire fight is unsportsmanlike. But he brings up a salient point. You can't just make up a metric and say everyone who fits the metric "deserves" to lose. Who are you to decide the metric? Someone's subjective opinion will have to be chosen to decide this, because there is no clear cut obvious dividing line of what everyone will agree is unsportsmanlike and what everyone will agree is not. When you say "if a player gets zero hits they deserve to lose" that's obvious but useless: everyone will just hit once and then pause. Or twice. Or five times. Whatever metric you come up with, players will try to limbo just under it. Whatever metric you decide, there will be people just under it and other players just over it, and you will have to justify why these people automatically lose but those people who did almost exactly the same thing don't.LolLolYou know that you can literally do 1 hit and pause though right?
Solution exists for everything
If after the match all stats are there
Eg...Number of hits and other things...
....Match time really played are there too and will appear without any hits...
So, if no hits during the whole match, it may be count as a forfeit for the pause abuser.

This is why sportsmanship is so difficult to police, and why in the absence of clear cut rules defining it it isn't even a good idea to ask Kabam to try to enforce it. You run into two problems. The first is you're asking them to pick a subjective criteria most people won't actually agree to and codify that into the rules. The second is you're presuming the devs are the kind of people who would actually change the rules of the game to satisfy the whims of a small minority of players who just don't like something. Both are not good at all.
