I feel like i’m the only person not upset about “Doom Cycle”
the simplest logic is often the answer. The “new mode” opens to an external browser and the Fantastic Four movie is coming out. That kinda tells me someone from an office many floors higher than the game team made them put this in. most likely for data collection, to test a new game they’re gonna launch, and/or promotion for the movie. some mix of those three things. if i had to guess someone had this made and they wanted it thrown in in time for the movie.
i think our guys knew everybody would hate this. why ? Think about it Kabam will sell you everything under the sun, but for this they gave away a FULL titan AND units? just to play this slog ? $10 pretty much gets you through the entire thing. One thing i’ve realized about this company is if they can sell something, they will. but they went ultra light on the monetization and threw in a full titan. Meanwhile in game they’re selling 150 titan shards for what ? 150 units i think.. (math check)
the external browser is another piece of evidence that tells you somebody else made this mode and decision. if not why not just add it in with the rest of the stuff? the launcher is in a tiny little box under the SDE. no big tab under the Fight screen.. if i wasn’t watching Vega’s stream when it dropped i would have had no idea where to find it. just a little tab, an external browser and a free titan. that’s not the Kabam/MCOC we know.
I’m open to the idea that this is just a miss and i’m trying to make sense out of it nonsense. but this doesn’t follow their usual steps to horrible decisions.
Before everybody jumps down my throat, i don’t care about Kabam. I play the game for fun. I spent modestly. i haven’t touched the mode after the first day because.. i just don’t want to 🤷🏾♂️ i think that covers all the usual talking points so let’s have a good conversation.
TLDR; The big bosses made this mode happen, our guys knew we would hate it and gave out some pre-compensation in the form of a Titan and Units.

Re: Would've been nice if the raid boss node gave some anti evade true strike thing
They already turned down his evade by 75%
Is it a known bug that Nebula doesn't apply stored shock charges on well timed blocks?
I just realized that it only applies when a well timed block results in a stun - contrary to her description
Example - fight a non contact champ.. parry the non-contact.. doesn't apply, then reparry a contact hit.. it applies

Re: Raid issue
I haven't got a single nova flame . I got only 2 or 3 normal flames but I am losing more heath than regeneration. I have fought human torch with onslaught before but not in Raids. In Raids, even with 3 flames I am losing more health than my regeneration speed . My regeneration mastery full. I just wanna know, if something wrong with raid human torch node or not. Thats all. I know human torch kit and onslaught kit also how they work .If you know how their kits work, why are you arguing? Of course there is going to be a difference in a 5-minute raid fight and an everyday fight in shorter content. But their kits are still the only thing presenting an issue for you.
Look at Torch's kit and then look back at the screenshot you just shared:

In your screenshot you have 2 incinerates on you, which according to Torch's kit reduces your regen rate by 40%, so your regen masteries may be full, but your regen rate is currently no higher than 75%.
Next, Torch has 26 smolders on him (plus the 2 incinerates on you), so the damage of his incinerates is increased by 336%, bringing the total to 436%. Onslaught's kit reduces incinerate damage by 150%, so the damage coming through is still 286% of Torch's normal incinerate damage.
Given that this is also raids and it's a larger opponent, his attack value is higher than those Torch's you usually take with him, so he's also just going to hit harder in general.
Anyone that knows their kits knows that Onslaught vs Torch isn't the best option if it's not going to be a quick fight. There is no bug here and there is nothing wrong with the raids version of Torch. But it looks like you were able to hit cap anyway, so it doesn't really matter all that much.

Re: Rate my WoF Q1 Team
Enchantress just heal your champ fully and pray you don't die. There's not much to do, but if you can perfectly dex her sp1 she's pretty easy.So I knocked this out today. Definitely could see where folks were when it launched - really a slog and not very fun content. How do you handle Enchantress? To this day I have no clue...
L Deathstrike, Enchantress, and D Thanos were just painful. Thought about just quitting out and not doing the content several times during LD and Enchantress. However, after those two things were somewhat better. Rags, Leader, Bullseye, HT, and Serpent were either solos or one revive. Dust wasn’t bad, and neither was arcade - and I was nervous about that fight. Vox crushed it. Dazzler and Spiral were mildly annoying - spent more revives on those two fights than I should have.
Will recharge my stash over the next week or two and decide whether I want to do Q2 and Q3. Think I was that Q2 was worse but Q3 the easiest?

Looks like the new best cosmic lol
BTW, if Franklin Richards was in MCOC, how would you design him?
BTW, if Franklin Richards was in MCOC, how would you design him?
Re: Initial Thoughts On The Maker?

Finally got the Maker and here are my current thoughts after testing him out
Things I like
- Damage is very consistent, with no one immune to Plasma, making it a very good damage source. In fact, out of every energy damaging effect, Plasma is the only effect no one is immune to. Dark Phoenix and Iceman are immune to Nova Flame but no one is immune to plasma
- The evade on parry with passive stun is very useful with a short cooldown, making him viable vs unblockable opponents, or opponents that you cannot parry easily (Skill champs, Shuri, Maw, Onslaught). Also makes him decent for Zola since he can heavy knock down Zola every 8 seconds.
- Neuroshock immunity. More mutant defenders like Cap Britain and Onslaught have neuroshock damage and I'm sure we'll see future Neuroshock damage nodes like hazard shift, so this will be useful. Reverse controls immunity is always nice vs those annoying RC champs (Emma Frost, High Evolutionary, Knull, Onslaught)
- Animations are top tier, especially that brutal SP3. SP1 and SP2 are cool.
- Prefights are useful anywhere. For example, vs Captain Britain, anyone can use the special power drain in war and questing, doesn't have to be the Maker who uses it. Another example, if you are facing Kitty Pryde anywhere, choose the Cowardice prefight with anyone including the Maker, and Kitty is shut down as long as the cowardice stays on them. The instant siphon is useful for anyone with high burst damage (Galan, Serpent, Jean, DPXF), as MSD showed in his video
- His power control is among the best vs non-power gain champs. First of all, that special power drain counters any champion or node with power efficiency (Sentinel, Dust, Professor X). Secondly, those suppressions lock down the opponent's CPR pretty well, but Maker also gets that Power Reroute, stealing all the opponent's power for himself. But the real insanity is combing this with Mr Fantastic's suppressions. The Maker's suppressions are 10% each and can stack up to 60%. Combining that with Mr Fantastic's 22% 3 Suppressions (highest versions), that means the opponent gets 126% less combat power rate. Haven't tested this before, but it should mean that unless the opponent has power gain, they will gain either no power, or very less power.
- Needs the highest rank possible for max damage. The one issue I am having, is that if the opponent doesn't die after a SP2, it may take a while for the Maker to finish off his opponent. Sure you can go to the SP3, but it does slow things down, especially in BGs.
- Stun Immunity. If the opponent is Stun immune, it makes it harder for Maker to rely on his evade and heavies to reset the mine
- Defensive abilities: The Maker for all his power control and evade stun, cannot counter abilities like evade, unstoppable or miss, which can potentially disrupt his loop.
