I think logical reasoning is not your strong point. Since Kabam has previously allowed those who downloaded the game from unofficial channels to play the game normally, and they happily accepted their payment, now that a new technology has suddenly emerged, you deny that these people are customers?What part of Announcement you don't understand. I will try to put it if I was talking to a child so you may understand.
-Before: No one was banned before because they didn't have technology to detect where the game was downloaded from.
-Now: They have a technology to detect where the game was downloaded from.
-Before and Now: Never it was allowed to download game from unofficial source, not before not now.
-Conclusion: You were not banned before because they couldn't detect, now they can so you are banned and should have been banned day 1 if they could detect it before.
Stop with your ridiculous arguments.

And how exactly they will ban those accounts from the beginning? If the anti cheat has been developed recently? From now onwards, if any new player will download from any unofficial channel then they will be banned from the beginning.Your account and the game itself are two different things.I still hold the same view. If you do not recognize that games downloaded from certain official channels are legal, then ban them from the beginning, instead of waiting for these accounts to grow a lot and then suddenly banning them now.
Your account should be fine if you didn’t cheat.
But the game itself needs to be downloaded and installed from a legitimate and approved vendor like Google or Apple.

Based on percentage of people cheating in marriage, I'm surprised so many people are acting so self-righteous here, like they never cheated/lied in the real world.
I'm very sure there are way more than 10K people cheating in this game, more or less, Kabam know they have to live with cheaters as long as those cheaters don't actually break the balance of the game, because Kabam want the game to live, all successful games have a lot of players breaking TOS.
Now the problem is, the big-beautiful anti-cheater system actually punished a lot of players that never cheated, at least they benefited nothing from breaking TOS and they might not even know they broke TOS.
Anyway, I'm not in the position of worrying about revenue of the game, I'm just being a a drama llama.

Hey, the same thing happened to me 2 days ago, and I didn’t notice until yesterday. This came just a few days after I linked my old google account with my new Kabam email account
