Long time ago there was a dude on here whose favorite champion was Iron Patriot, and he would bless us with gloriously unhinged posts about how much better IP was compared to the meta champs of the time.

“Prowler is ass” reminded me of that dude.

Ok I was tweaking like half of that post but Prowler is seriously questionable a top champ, and I'm being for real. Especially when he isn't awakened. This guy hits like a noodle, and aside from the power lock and few immunities he can't do anything special. Like I can see how he's decent in certain scenarios, but for the most pat he's just super underwhelming. I may possibly have been wrong about Kate Bishop, Serpent, and Mr. Sinister, but Prowler is genuinely a poser.

Again, this is just wrong. His rupture bursts after applying an incinerate is absolutely bonkers damage. And he has so much utility through damage over time, no crit, power control, and his falter mechanic.

Actually, matter of fact, please tell me you are using your heavy attack when they are at 0 power?

What benefit does no crit provide? Yes, I have been heavying at 0 power because I watched Spectral 282's tutorial on YouTube, but the power lock is for like 4 seconds fam. What sort of content do you typically use Prowler in, and how do you maximize Prowler's unawakened damage?

There are champs that punish crits

The power lock drains the opponent to zero power regardless of how much power they had which is insanely useful

Prowler can be used anywhere, he’s a great mutant killer in BGs and he works the same in questing. You could even use the sp3 to gain more furies in that sorta content. You do want the awakened ability because it gives him more crit rating

His damage is fantastic when he’s sig 200, it’s alright when he’s not. I use him to nuke BG opponents all the time

Many champs defensive abilities or nodes trigger once you crit against them. Or champs like sentinel reduce crit damage from all champs. Prowler not relying on crit bypasses all of those.

Secondly, You can use your heavy to intercept the opponent after their special. This won’t work in every match up. But getting a parry off after their special is not hard.

I use prowler everywhere. War, BGs, and all questing. I even liked him so much, I ranked him up to R3 unawakened. He answers so many problems even pre-awakening, so when I got him awakened, he’s even better.

You max his damage by pushing them to 1.9 or 2.9 bars of power and then let them throw their special, that will build up your charges, then build up a SP2, drop it, and watch the health bars melt

I’ve been pretty hooked on MCoC and really enjoy playing — I also watch a ton of YouTube content around it. One thing I’ve noticed is that content creators seem to have access to a special test map. It features all the key defenders, with increasing levels of difficulty, and it’s perfect for testing out new champs or recording gameplay. Honestly, it’s great content, and I love watching it.

But it got me thinking — would it be possible for Kabam to make something like that available to all players?

Personally, I still use Realm of Legends to test most of my champs, but let’s be real — that content is super outdated. And most of the other long-form content in the game doesn’t offer a reliable setup to test your roster against relevant meta defenders. I feel a bit limited by that.

The only time I really get to fight tricky defenders like Serpent, Dark Phoenix, Yelena, Zola, Photon, Enchantress etc., is in Alliance War or Battlegrounds — but those aren’t exactly great places to experiment. You’re under pressure to win, not learn.

So here’s my question to Kabam (if anyone’s listening):
Would you consider releasing a public version of the test map that creators use?
Maybe as a permanent in-game mode or a training room where we can select defenders, apply nodes, and practice without using items?

I’d love to hear what others think too — am I the only one who wants this kind of feature, or is there real demand for it?

This idea just popped into my head for this post. No idea why. Lets hear your history of your choices.

My game tag comes from when I started playing MechWarrior 3/4 in the late 90's and early 2000's. I used to use DemonzFire but decided to fancy it up and go with the "Fyre" because it seemed cool. I used Demon Fries for a bit as an inside joke because of someone I played PUBG with didn't read my tag correctly. And I showed up in a ChocoTaco video.....dying to the blue zone.

My PFP here on the forums has been Silver Centurion for a long time. In-game, he's one of my favorite champs to play. I enjoy the connection to MROC (which I wish still existed) and that it's based off an actual suit from Iron Man. In the game I swap between different PFPs. I have a S.C one and I really like the MROC pictures. Currently rocking a Red Hulk one from the recent SQ.
