It's definitely a nerf, because the champion is made weaker and it's not as clear cut as reading the synergy and assuming it SHOULD work on only 1 debuff. There are many interactions in the game where multiple buffs/debuffs get purified if they get applied AT THE SAME TIME.
Example:
Look at Thor with his parry. He puts armor break + stun, yet only 1 debuff gets purified when fighting a masochism node.
Then if you use an awakened Captain America Infinity War and parry ALL his debuffs get purified when fighting a masochism node (with his duped ability sometimes you can do up to 3 debuffs, yet they all get purified).
Shouldn't this get fixed instantly too? I bet they will never fix this interaction because it doesn't benefit the players
Gotta agree with this, masochism SHOULD only remove one debuff but if several are applied at the same time then they all get removed, so if this synergy is being fixed, masochism should be fixed too

This is a fair point. Masochist shouldn’t function like this as far as I know
If it's not operating as the description says, it is indeed a bug. A simple reading of his Stats would show that. Obviously it was known well-enough to be mentioned on Social Media. It was not a nerf. It was a bug, and it was fixed.
But where does it say it will only remove one? If everyone is going by the description it clearly states if you have any of the 3 the restoration kit will drop and the debuff will be removed. It doesn't say only 1 of them will be removed. It clearly states it will purify the debuff if it is one of the three.
I believe his synergy states a “bleed, poison, shock or something debuff, Nick will remove it and restore x% of max health. This can only occur once per fight.”
So if it was removing both bleed AND poison from suicides, it’s a bug right? Lol
No, that's saying that it'll only drop one kit per fight, not restore one buff per fight.
Kabam didn't want to lose money. So they kept quiet about the bug. If they stated publicly "this champ is not working correctly ", they could have lost out on revenue. Some people may have found the champ less desirable and not spent. This is not the first and won't be the last time a champ is not tested and decieves the player base. Honestly, it's unethical it just lazy on Kabam's part.
Go to 35 min of BGs stream last night if you wanna hear the thoughts of a f2p player who spend 4500 units to get a champ that could shrug off suicides.

If X, Y, or Z.....once per Fight. It doesn't say it will remove all.
Does it say it doesn't remove all? Nope. It states if you have any it will remove debuff 1x per fight.
All Champions except Nick: If Nick is alive, once per fight when a teammate is inflicted with a Bleed, Poison or Shock Debuff he will drop a Restoration Kit, Purifying the Debuff and Regenerating 10% of their max health over 3 seconds.)
CLEARY STATES IF ANY OF THESE DEBUFFS, RESTORATION KIT WILL DROP, PURIFYING DEBUFF. It doesn't say just 1, it never says only 1. It clearly states ANY. ANY is the key word, if you have any of these kit drops and debuff is purified.
Yes English is an amazing language!
They allowed the content creators to post videos stating that all debuffs were removed. Waited a month and then said its a bug..............they knew a week before the champ was released.
ANY DEBUFF WHICH WOULD MEAN IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THEM THEY ARE PURIFIED. YOU MAY NOT HAVE MORE THAN 1 DEBUFF ON YOU THEREFORE DEBUFF IS THE CORRECT ENGLISH WORD TO USE.

It says it'll drop one kit per fight that will shrug off those specific debuffs. That's how it is written. This is 100% a nerf due to the vid BG put out the other day.

I don't think he understand the English language, he just constantly takes the opposite side of what people post to create hostile environments making Kabam shut down threads. Its best to block this guy, he's not a high level player and doesn't even have these champs that he always discusses on. It was clearly showcased in the content creator program that it would remove all debuffs. Kabam allowed that to be shown a week prior to release and a month later they change it. I'm done spending here.
They fixed a bug. If everyone and their dog ran out and tried to capitalize on it, knowing it was a bug, that's on them. There's no timeline for fixing things, or when they get around to it. Whether they fixed it 3 weeks after, or a day after, it was well-known that's not how it was meant to perform. People complain when they don't fix things, they complain when they do fix things. It's not their fault if people went broke for a bug.

He does, he just likes arguing and get threads shut down. I wish there was a term for people like that.

No, it said if you have any of those present, it will shrug off the Debuff. Not all of them, just one. Whichever one triggers it. Why we're even debating this, I don't know. We all know it was a bug.

Where does it specifically say that? It does not, it was show cased in the content creators program. It was never stated it was a bug. They clearly read the description then showed how it worked. And you are arguing because you sit on the internet all day.

Are you familiar with Pluralization?
Pluralization doesn't seem to mean what you think it does.

- actual champ abilities should match their descriptions. When they don't, they should be fixed. - descriptions/spotlights should match real in-game interactions/abilities and be clearly defined and understandable with very little or zero subjectivity/mystery. This includes synergies and their interactions with synergized champion abilities. - players should not have to be post-release bug finders. Obv, players have a knack for finding them. But situations like this one SEEM to happen more often than they should. - if an ability in a description or an interaction in-game seems like it's a little too amazing, I'd say it warrants a question being brought up on the forum for clarity. At that point, players need a concrete answer that won't be changed in the future. - arguing over what something should be defined as is silly and takes away from any sort of meaningful conversation and possible resolution to an issue. - kabam has stated they have a long-term schedule for content/character release. From an outsider's viewpoint, that schedule seems to be linked to Marvel's schedule in many ways. But it would be really, really nice if there was a way to build in more time for thorough testing of the new champions and specifically their interactions with other Champions thru their synergies. - if that's not possible, I could easily see players developing a much stronger wait and see attitude about newly released Champions... As that would be the only surefire way to know if they are getting what they want from their time/shard/unit/money investment.
It's pretty clear from the description that only 1 debuff would be purified. That said, it's a pretty bad showing that, once again, the devs failed to properly vet the content they are putting out. I 100% understand how some could feel that this is false advertising to get more $$$ for a champ. If they're really going to be this bad at testing their own game, then they really need to move a lot faster on squashing bugs.
