Gotta say they blew this by a couple miles. They had 1 chance to seize a perfect opportunity and bring it all together also and as usual they just went the money grab route. On top of that with all the bugs and issues and to do the usual leave it be and it will pass until another time approach is well I would like to say surprising however they stuck did as they always do. They have their reputation for a reason. All in all it honestly is just a shame.
I admit I am perplexed at Kabam's intentions here, unless it was for most players to have zero shot at completing the difficulty levels they normally can handle. Some of it is ridiculously hard with the champ restraints and nodes on the defenders, so I bailed. If this was how it was every month, I would feel far less inclined to play.
In the history of my playing MCOC (almost 4 years), I have skipped two events. The Maze and now Epic Level of Last Stand. For the rewards, there is little justification for completing this event. I enjoy a challenge in this game. The harder solo content is typically my favorite content. However, where these paths and nodes have less to do with skill and more to do with RNG for very little rewards, I have no interest.
Even if Kabam were to acknowledge the big miss on this event and reward all players the rewards for 100% of each level of this event, the rewards are so meh that I would still be underwhelmed.

This. Did almost all of the solo content, bar LOL and Variant 1 exploration (completion? check!) but this is not worth the effort/energy/units imho. If I get (deservedly!) refunded the units I spent on a badly bugged Thanos boss fight, I might still give it a shot, just for the hell of it, but given the rewards (so far, zero pulls to further an end game player’s progress) skipping might be wisest regardless. It’s not all that fun either. On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate it a 3. And that’s fairly generous, due to the effort that was put in. For actual execution, I’d subtract at least a point. Maybe others love it. Kudos to them. But it’s not for me.
I don’t really know what happened at Kabam HQ. People knew Endgame would break records. And then this event..... I mean, it’s a great event. But we can get a great event about every other month. Endgame called for a groundbreaking, awesome event. Something that you’d love 3000. This one doesn’t live up to those expectations.
Something like gwenpool goes to the movies, (not in difficulty, in rewards and structure—think the Deadpool valentines event) celebrating the last 21 movies, similar to how endgame does, would be up to scratch as a side event. In each of the six quests in this event, each avenger would specialize in a different one. Global nodes would take the place of the infinity stone boosts—however, you wouldn’t degenerate and suffer attack reduction if you decided not to go in with the specific avenger. Exploration (2 paths each quest) of this event would award a cinematic crystal (updated with mcu captain marvel etc) and a marvelous crystal (the one with the champs not in basic pools yet). The rarity of the crystals would depend on the difficulty completed. (5* for epic, legendary for master, etc) It would also award shards for a slightly buffed last stand crystal.
As a main quest, another well-designed Thanos boss is warranted. The storyline of the quest makes sense. However, the rewards, even as a one time deal, could be juiced up. Possible ideas (off the top of my head):
• a blue title selector attached to uc (choose between)
2-time Galaxy Saver Assembled Underoos
(The titles can differ, the idea is to pay homage to previous movies)
• each time you beat nameless Thanos, a chest would drop a random infinity stone profile pic. You were guaranteed to get a different infinity stone (that you didn’t have) every single time you beat him. Depending on which difficulty you beat, the pic would have a different border; when you got all six of the same border type, you could trade them in for an infinity gauntlet of the same border type. The stones would be available for different unit prices in the store, like they are now.
• a beefed up time attack—something like “the first 50 (number can be adjusted) summoners to explore uncollected impress the children of Thanos, and seeing as he’s out of commission, decide to join you. Essentially, you get 5* versions of Corvus proxima ebony and cull. Those summoners would have to bring in their strongest team and figure out the final Thanos on the fly, all while racing the clock.
This is what I came up with in about 15 minutes. Kabam had this on their agenda for over a year. I know that they’re marketing to people to join the game instead of pandering to their current player base, but I started a new account this month, and I really don’t see it. I also think Kabam put a lot of hope in a repeat of the symbiote in the form of the infinity-enhanced avengers. That also, didn’t quite hit. All in all, I feel like the idea was there, but the execution wasn’t quite right.
Honestly, I'm horribly disappointed with the event quest, the side event quests, and the last stand crystals. This main event quest would be average at best, but the final Thanos tanks the entire quest to a miserable mess. Not surprised that Kabam managed to screw up the biggest event in Marvel history, but still disappointed.
Overall, terrible. Tedious, energy intensive and poor rewards. Bad enough for just another month, but... Considering the epic moment in cinematic history we are experiencing it's even worse. Rather shameful really, but Kabam dgaf.

Idk how but I’m actually disappointed and I gave up a long time ago on Kabam.
To top it off the calendar seems to not realize what year the game is in anymore so not a whole lot to look forward too.

Worst let down for me.

Endgame is such an epic movie/event/culmination of so much hard work, this lacklustre and lazy event is an insult to anything related to Endgame.
I think it’s fair to say this community expected and deserved more.
