The nodes and links are the same. However, going from a lot of old basic champs to defensively designed champs is still a bit of a jump in difficultly. Void in every section, multiple Mr. Sinisters, multiple Dominos, and Havok just to name a few.
Why increase the difficulty of map 5? Isn’t that what map 6 & 7 are for? If people are looking for a challenge can’t they run that map? Some of these champs are a huge jump in difficulty. It’s day 1 and I got my butt kicked by Mr. Sinister where an Elektra was before.
I'm a 4yr player that got sick of the AW push and joined an alliance full of like minded players that runs Map 6 on day 1 or 2 occasionally but sticks primarily to Map 5 and Tier 4, no pressure AW. Map 5 was very doable for us, but the point is to have MORE fun playing and still be able to progress our accounts at a reasonable rate, which allows us to push in AW or AQ when it works for the members involved. This also allowed us more time to focus on EQ, Act 6, Variant, etc. while better managing real life obligations.
These changes to Map 5, starting and continuing with the Hyperion mini and now this, are unreasonable to a player in my position. Map 5 is now full of champs that many AW attack teams are built around countering. You have given me and my alliance mates even less motivation to care about AW, and AQ to a certain extent thanks to the increase in the difficulty of Map 5.
Map 5 was great for both progressing and veteran players, providing next level growth for the former and a low stress option for veteran players that gave them at least roster sustainability with slow steady growth in a time manageable environment. Not to mention that Map 5 was the perfect place to try out new champs/teams. Now you are semi gating certain paths by placing defenders (like Electro on Bleed/Heal Block or Havok wherever) that require very specific counters. This is feeling more like AW, and it's not fun.
I respectfully would ask that you please explain this unannounced change and if it is to remain, hopefully you will look into bumping rewards some. There is no question that Map 5 is much more difficult than it was pre Hype mini. Some increase should be expected, but this just feels like too much.
I'm personally feeling beat down by all of the bugs to nodes, champs, and basic game mechanics/AI adjustments that either remain in the "looking into it/pass that along/test for us and send video" category, or are completely ignored; along with the continual fail that AQ Map 5 and AW has become. Sadly, this has not been a good year for the game in my opinion, just an amazing display of....I don't have the words. I'm really losing faith that things are going to get better.
And you wonder why there are trust issues with this company? Everyone that runs map 5 has just been screwed over yet again. All the focus was on the way OP Hyperion and they were sitting back this whole time just laughing at what was coming.

Were the changes to basic nodes in MAP-5 (ie, Elektra mid-right 2nd section, that was always easy to just fight thru supported, only +Health and easy SP's, saving an extra bak-n-forth freeing of links with inside lane, to now being a Mr.Sinister) an actual change starting this week ??
Or was that part of the normal rotating of basic nodes that started at beginning of this AQ season (Thanos boss), but we just haven’t seen him in rotation before now because we haven’t had S.Witch make her appearance as miniboss until now ??

I'm still a little cheesed at the timing of this. They unsticky this thread, drop big changes with no warning, and then the mods ghost for the weekend so they don't have to comment on it.

Lately it seems, possibly more so with this thread, the response you get is your questions deleted and ignored lost in the Thanos Snap.
I mean I get updating the champions in the AQ, little heads up would have been nice though, pretty sure a lot of alliances just joined with usual champs and get wrecked. Electro is a lovely fight, unavoidable damage, and heal block so you're screwed regardless.
Awesome job Kabam, please don't let us know about any future changes going forward, which seems to be the norm lately.
50/50. I've been using OR for the electro fight. Only use medium, heavy, and special attacks. Unless you screw up the unavoidable damage is minimal. I know not everyone has a high rank OR, but hopefully someone in each bg has one. I've been told the masochism path is harder too but I haven't tried it for myself.

Personally just think it's a cheap shot to put an electro on a node with heal block knowing that nearly every attack will do some damage to you, I mean it's what nearly 40% of physical damage? Could at least change to node to something other than heal block, but hey
Almost two months since last we heard from a mod. Could you please provide an update on the bugs, Hype compensation, lack of notice on the more than slightly increased difficulty of the Map 5 SW boss map, and more?
Still no word from any mods for practically 2 months about the beginning of AQ season 6 with how overpowered Hyperion was and the bugs that constantly have been happening with no word on any compensation for the amount of personally resources each member of alliances have had to use. This is personally the worst customer service ever! You all at Kabam and the moderators that are here to assist them have failed everyone within this community especially those that have been posting on this discussion thread since Season 6 began.

This is not only thread that gets no response. Kabam just does NOT want to address the frustrations of the players. They have made intentional changes to make the game more challenging because they want you to use resources and hopefully run out so that will cause you to reach into your wallet. The game is working as they have intended it to so no reason to address the increased difficulty. Even with the change in Hyperion on Map 5, they decreased the level of the mini boss node to 1 but did not remove it as this was planned all along. Theyy just didn't realize that they have made it almost unbeatable. They walk a fine line with the difficulty where it is close to impossible. My biggest issue is the lack of rewards for advanced players. They make you wait forever to make difference in your team. It is a ploy that we all get sucked into just so we keep playing and playing and playing but not getting our teams any better. So slowly!!!
