Free five stars or four stars crystal for people who aren’t playing the game

Proff is right you should rewards your daily players not the players who left the game already they will prob just log in to get the crystal and leave XD...so if I am right you are telling us that we should leave the game so you give us free rewards?

We had a three month long SA calendar to show appreciation to the player base. They got a free champ Crystal's after that and missed out on all the other benefits. The crystal is a way to try and get people to get back into the game by potentially helping them out.

You would get more rewards by playing daily than you would be not playing in the hope Kabam gifts you something to lure you back.

If you leave the game to get "free" rewards you are missing out on all the rewards that you get free for being active, which are generally more. How does that make any sense what so ever. Sounds about like Prof Hoff poor logic.

You got up to Uncollected in under 2 month’s, that shows there is a huge amount of stuff you get because of playing even for that short amount of time.

You can’t get to Uncollected by sitting out for those months and waiting for a free 5* to be offered (which would probably just end up being someone like IronPatriot or Rocket “don’t call me raccoon”, lol).

Playing the game actively is WAY more rewarding than a single 5* crystal.

Why can't they focus on both? In no way is not logging in an getting a free 5* better than logging in and doing content and collecting calendars rewards. Those players won't jump past you in progression because of a free 5*. The term "mountain out of a mole hill" comes to mind.

those plus 4 hour crystal, daily crystal. If you are getting phc every seven days you are probably not going to get the 5* if you left, but rather the 4*......

You have to be crazy to think it’s benefiting the non playing base.

You get a free 5 star for not playing in 6 months

Or you play, have some fun, and get 15-18 5 stars, thousands of units, lots of iso am gold.

There isn’t much of a rhythm for getting 5* while playing and none for not playing. Unlike the rhythm of featured hero crystals and champion releases.

It is what it is. They do it sometimes. We get more for playing then they do from not. I’m just mad that I took a 9-12 month break from the game once and got nothing for free.

you probably missed the offer, especially if you deleted the app. It does not stay there forever.

What about that 5k 5* shards that they gave out back around July for those uncollected +? I missed out on that by a day, and wonder when they'll do it again.

In this case, Prof Hoff isn't wrong, it is the OP that is wrong (along with everyone else agreeing with the OP). While I think Prof Hoff is wrong a lot (way more often, than, say, "once every hundred videos") if you actually watch the video Prof Hoff released to highlight the get back in the game offer he actually points out that the summoner appreciation calendar gave out way more rewards to the players who logged in daily than the offer is offering to lure players back. In fact he explicitly states players shouldn't be getting "triggered" by the knowledge these kinds of offers exist.

So nothing really to see here, except someone who thought Prof Hoff was complaining about something but didn't actually watch the video to see he wasn't actually complaining about it.

Hate is a strong word. I have some issues with Prof Hoff, but I don't hate him. However, on the internet you're either loved or hated, and often both.

In my opinion, Prof Hoff's biggest issue is that unlike most Youtubers who are admitted and open advocates for a position, Prof Hoff's shtick is being the voice of reason and fact-based commentary. And in my opinion, he's not very good at being that. In fact, he's so not good at that that in my opinion he's done more to quash conspiracy theories by actually promoting them then anyone else in the community has managed to do by attempting to disprove them.

To be clear, I respect his contribution to the community as I do all the Youtubers. It is a much harder gig than I think most people give it credit for. And whether I agree with it or not he represents a voice that has a non-zero number of adherents. He certainly has his following. But if you want to know why he gets the reception he gets on the forums (or for that matter on the subreddit) it is because he holds himself to a standard of being a kind of very objective journalist of the MCOC community, but he's insufficiently well informed and too easily sucked into weird speculation to be able to thread that needle. And when you aim for that objective bullseye and miss wildly, people will tend to turn on you (and not without some justification).

Why sending gift to players who dont play. They should give us better deals instead trying to bring back the unfaithful.
It's like sending flowers to your ex girlfriend in hope to get her back.If she didn't stay the first time, chances are that she won't the second time.
I like Prof Hoff and he's doing a great review of the deals offered by Kabam.

It's something called marketing it makes people want to come back to the game to check it out and I don't understand why there is an issue here because us active players get way more rewards then these inactive players anyways

better deals like the free t2a, all the shards and everything else you got for being active during the last few months?

However sometimes those deals to the people work, I took a year and a half off, that deal brought me back and I would be willing to bet I spend more on the game than you do, which is what their goal is. Proff hoff is a cosnspiracy theorist who does nothing good for the game in general, but even he says that you should not be upset about this if you actually watched the video.
