Excited for the next "impossible" challenge, but I was really hoping to see the damage cap removed. I imagine it wouldn't be that difficult to limit Proxima on a per fight basis rather than slapping on a global node. Glad to see limber removed though.
Don't know if the team will be allowed to answer this, but here it goes anyway.
While testing the Abyss fights, have you found most of them to be able to be one-shotted by any champion, without the unstoppable/unblockable node triggering?
Don't need to specify who or how. The intention is to have an idea of whether it is possible, which is what I think is something most player's are afraid off
This ^ understood this is supposed to be the toughest content out there but if you have a hit cap on each fight everybody will just see this as a money grab ESPECIALLY considering you created ramp up champs like Aegon and 2099 that will be dead before they're even decently ramped up, 2099 moreso. What's the point of creating champs that excel in long fights but then punishing them for having a long fight lol?
@Kabam Miike This seems cheap. First of all, even in the lab of legends, most 3 million health pool fights take about 250 hits with the hardest hitters. Now you’re going to double or triple those health pools, and that’s going to take most champs over 600 hits. The damage cap also prevents most high damage champs from finishing fights quickly
Seems like the typical kabam nonsense. What's the point of making ramp up champs if you cant use them to their full potential by implementing damage caps. Pffft!
Also 3.3 million health pools are not fun, especially with a damage cap. Also, Kabam Mike confirmed that it will be more than that so I will likely do completion and 0 exploration. I don't have time for 3.3 million health pool fights smh.
Guys need to remember that it wasn't easy to deal with the enrage timer at the time LoL was released. There were no T5B in existence and you had to make up for it with attack synergies. It wasn't until you could r5 a 5* that you could use a champ without having an attack synergy crutch.
I don't know what the challenge rating is for an r3 6* or an r4 6*, but if you want to solo some of these fights, that might be what is needed. LoL was super difficult and very expensive for most until Aegon was released. Then LoL became pretty easy and could be done with relatively minimal revives. I'm sure this new challenge will be the same. Expensive at first and then easier as we all figure it out and can rank champions up higher.
To get around the skirmish charges, you can find other sources for damage. Debuffs are one source. Reverse healing is another. Reflecting damage is another. There are a lot of other ways you can damage your opponent besides hitting them, and I'm sure you're going to have to think outside the box.
For anyone thinking Quake is going to conquer this, Brand #7 will kill you. They will lose skirmish and warfare charges if you don't hit them every 8 seconds.
I would say most players don’t want to go into content knowing 100% they’ll have to revive at least once per fight. Unless the path is 1-2 champions then the premise that you’ll need revives is a huge turn off. Coupled with the fact you’ve frozen the map again is even more of a turn off. The Abyss is incredible though. You need 6* R4 to gun for 6* R3 rewards. Always one step forward and 4 steps back.
This does confirm 1 thing. Act 6 legends champ will not be Thanos. That means it could be Maestro the last of the OG Bosses of the Contest to not get a Trophy Champ variant

Wasnt that confirmed by the gifting event already?

Why would you make content where no matter how good you play you’re going to die and have to revive? You couldn’t add a feature where we could gain back charges or pause them? It’s just 240 hits (tops) and boom they go unstoppable, unblockable and one shot you?
So only 240 hits before instant death? With the largest health pools ever?
Bye bye Aegon, SL and most likely G99
Where does 240 hits come from? I re-read the announcement and am not sure what you mean. Just curious.
Nevermind I figured it out. Challenger rating for 5/65 is 120, so that means you get 240 Skirmish and Warfare charges before the defender goes unstoppable and unblockable. 240 charges = 240 hits.
Damage cap, locked map, 240 hit combo tops. This is just ridiculous. Plus no skill way to solo any of these fights with any current champ available. Typical kabam.

I can’t say I’m not disappointed.
