I use an iphone7, but my thought on not being device related simply comes from the fact that the smoother the gameplay runs the worse parry becomes. I also stated that using an old device not like a Samsung s5 on android gives a near perfect parry chanche and timing no matter the lag or relatively "smooth" experience there.
There's literally an incongruence between these facts, and my guess is that the "smooth gameplay" is way too smooth, aka the IA actions are too fast for the game engine to catch up in between rendering the gameplay, reading our imputs AND queuing the AI's actions...
The device brand/model is not the only thing that matters when I say the device in use may affect parry, I now use an iPhone 6s+ again and when it overheats a bit the game performance struggles, and I get a bit of a flashback of all the troubles I had recently with a Google Nexus 5X. Free memory, free disk space, open apps, background processes (fortunately easy to turn this off on iOS), and so on... all affect game performance and in my experience parry is one of the first basic functions to misbehave!
But please note I did not say it's ONLY device related, just saying that device related issues also bring parry troubles, clearly there is more, just look at Gb proof...
I'm sure extra processes mess things up more, but I've been I was trained with my older phone to ensure mcoc was the only thing running. But problems still arise w a new flagship phone under the same circumstances. The game engine trying to do too much is the best explanation I've seen that covers multiple devices (both Android and ios) and multiple different issues.
TBH dude there is nothing wrong with parry. I say operator error. It also depends on what content you are playing. You know how kabam is, the higher the PI the faster the enemy usually moves. So if you are having issues against the harder content, I would suggest parrying a bit earlier.
Tbh you're just flat out wrong here. I won't repeat what has been said in this thread numerous times. I do, however, hope that when you experience issues that 100% of players don't also experience... Random people don't come into the thread and just say you're wrong and/or just messing up.
But don't let me stop you from not reading the thread and replying anyway.
I have been experiencing problems with parry for the last several days too. When I try to parry after a combo, it simply blocks instead of parry. I tried to parry after I use a 5 hit combo, 4 hit combo, and 3 hit combo. Parry simply will not work after a combo for me. I have tried this on my IOS device, I also tried on an android device and the issue is the same.
I am not the best player in the world, however I am looking to enter my first labrynth run today and this parry change is costing me a potential of 150K in damage per fight simply from blocking after a combo and taking block damage. I've done the first fight over 50 times before the most recent update and averaged 650K in damage per fight. Since the update I have done the redhulk fight 15 times and with this parry mishap I am now averaging 450K in damage per fight.
Is this the new intended way parry is going to work or is this a glitch?
This has been covered in multiple other threads that maintain constructiveness. As you can see from the other replies in this thread, this is not as clear cut an issue as you may believe. We will continue to work on any imperfections that arise with the Parry Mechanic, and will update you all if and when we have more information.
