Just in general, I think that Kabam could have gained a ton of goodwill by saying "hey, there's a bug and we advise against doing harder content, but we'll send out some weekly resources to help you with that content if you choose to pursue it". Instead, they chose to essentially tell people to stop playing the game, grinding everything to a halt. That has been absolutely disastrous for morale, because there's not a lot of "easy" content to do in the game. If people were having issues clearing the EQ and Kabam really didn't want to send out solo content relief resouces, another possible solution could have been to scrap the Cavalier difficulty this month and instead reward the Cav rewards for UC difficulty, the UC rewards for Master difficulty etc. That way, people could still play EQ and earn their regular rewards, without doing "hard content".
As for the SOP, I think not comping people for the SOP has the potential to really bite Kabam in the butt when the "real" compensation eventually comes out. They've told us to hold off from doing hard content but have continued to run the (supposedly) hardest content in the game without any help clearing it? If people had been adequately compensated with revives and potions to help them through those fights each week, the pressure wouldn't be on Kabam nearly as much as I think it is now.
However, they have not. Instead, they've left people to either use an extraordinary amount of resources to clear it anyway (if they've had them at hand) or to simply be unable to reach the proper milestones. Revives and potions can be easily compensated, but compensating people who missed out on actual SOP rewards because of the bug will be a lot harder. And if they fail, there'll most likely be hell to pay.
I was lucky enough to earn all but one milestone so I am in no need to be compensated for missed rewards, but I know that there were a lot of people who suffered from these bugs a lot worse than I did and who might therefore reasonably have been unable to get where they should have otherwise gotten in the event.
I think Kabam did a great job with the compensation packages for both AW and AQ, and I wish they'd done a similarly great job with their solo packages. The two packages that were sent out were not nearly enough for two months of issues and there probably should have been separate SOP reward packages sent out as well.
I see some people calling those who want to see 6* nexuses etc entitled, but I honestly feel as if even that is aiming too low regarding compensation. I personally have no idea what could be enough compensation for all of these issues, but just a new 6* ain't gonna cut it. Even if I pulled a 6* Hercules, would that make this summer "okay"? No way.
I don't demand anything in particular, I just...I don't know what will be enough. I don't know if anything can be enough.
i dont think we should have shards. That is not what should be compensated. Revives, pots, refills. That is absolutely all we need.
In terms of what we missed out on, I do think we've missed out on shards. AW not being on is less shards, any content you can't complete has shards. But I agree in terms of what we've actually missed out on there's not many shards.
However, Kabam also said that they would include "some gifts as a thank you for sticking with us while we worked to address this problem". I agree that not loads of shards need to be compensated as what we've missed out on, but in terms of a gift for thanking us for sticking around, there's not much that fits the bill except for crystals/shards.

I fully believe we will get shards. I don't think we'll get a 6* nexus like most have been saying. There are people who couldn't do MEQ last month or this month still. I don't think it will be equal to what's missed exactly since it's a blanket comp but I do believe we will get them for sure.

I was of the same idea. But looking back and reading some comments again, I think shards should and will be part of the compensation. People should not expect 2 nexus and 30k 6 star shards and the likes, but something to mitigate the loss of shards from people who missed out on aw, seq amd meq rewards. It would not be unrealistic to expect rhe while months legendary rewards as compensation.
My thoughts would be very different if there was a consistent flow of normal revives and potions similar to aq items. But, kabam missed out on that and need to compensate for the missed shards and resources during this bug.

Just remember that compensation packages like the one we will get are not only to replace the losses we face due to bugs.
Kabam themselves have said there will be a gift alongside it to thank us for sticking with them, based on progression level.
I’d like to approach this topic very carefully and ensure that it builds a supportive discussion and not lead to everyone just bashing the current state of the game….
With SoP, we’ve seen some of the most challenging solo content introduced this year and certainly some of the greatest rewards. We have also seen these ongoing game mechanic issues that presented during said solo challenge.
I appreciate, to some extent, that we have received a handful of AQ and AW resources as there has been need for them recently. What brought on the concerns I would like to bring to light was the rapid redistribution of a War compensation package almost immediately after the AQ potions and revives were sent by mistake. Good on Kabam for admitting fault and redistributing the intended compensation.
However, what stands out was the ability to create this new compensation package ON A DIME. It is clear that SoP requires an abundance of solo potions and revives for many players in order to clear the content before it ends. The failure to provide these type of items in compensation seems willful with the intention to force players to purchase units in order to redeem more solo resources. The AW bundle was literally compiled and distributed in ~30-45 minutes, but the true parry/dex compensation will not be distributed until the end of the month. Conveniently, the end of the month is also the conclusion of SoP and the utility of solo resources would no longer be in such high demand. This neglect to provide the items needed (and abundantly requested) seems intentional now because they’ve proven a custom compensation package can easily be modified and distributed.
I hope I’m wrong. I hope that kabam would value their player base enough not to penalize them in this manner. I hope this thread can remain civil and constructive as well.
The war/AQ stuff isn't based off of items lost because of the bug. Its just to supplement you playing the game mode. The big package is based off of how far reaching the bug costs players in terms of items used. They couldn't evaluate this until after the hotfix. Even then, some are still having issues. So that evaluation takes a while.
You're right in saying a care package doesn't take long to put together but they are for different purposes.
I think OPs point is that during AQ we had care packages to supplement us playing. During AW we will have care packages to supplement us playing. So why during SoP did we not have care packages to support us playing?
Exactly how I feel about it. Furthermore we had a bug on the gm when he was released eating up supplies unannounced that there was a problem.
Hey there, just wanted to jump in here to address OP's points real quick. They mentioned that this concern came up because of how quickly we were able to resend the correct bundle of items after a message went out with a few of the wrong items in it. However, the reason this could be done so quickly was specifically because the work had already been done to determine what would be in that bundle, all that needed to be done there was swap out the incorrect items for the correct ones that were originally intended to be sent.
Concern was expressed about the overall compensation package for the gameplay issues players were experiencing taking longer to put together, but this is because there is much more work involved in it than there is in changing out one set of potions/revives for another. Because it has to cover every player, across multiple game modes, we have to measure how players were impacted from when the issue first popped up until now and determine how to address it. We appreciate how patient players have been, because doing this accurately and in a meaningful way will take more time than swapping out AQ potions for AW potions. We could try to rush a package out before the full impact has been accurately measured, but we think the end result will be better for the players if we do our best to be thorough here.
