Great luck, great progress. I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure that guiotine is better for medusa than an unduped Hawkeye.

You seem to have decent counters for most of the 6.3 bosses, good luck and merry Christmas

I think she might be! I'm gonna take both with me and see who does better. I've traded some more gifts and got a fair few revives ready so I'll hopefully be ready with levelling up and ranking up in the next couple of weeks :)

Yeah 6.3 seems covered, Cap may be tough but we will see how well Hawkeye does for it!

More power to you.. for me it took a long while to collect enough tier5 class catalyst.. it is also true that rng needs to align with your needs for you to form one.. its been a 2yr ordeal for me since I'm not skill to do abyss or Act6 or Act7 for the tier5 basic catalyst or tier2 alpha.. so I use whatever tier5 basic catalyst I have on rank2 6*.. but thru Kabam 7th year anniversary I got to select tier5 class catalyst I needed.. form a mystic.. luck also allow me to get a full tier5 basic catalyst, solo gifting objective event and alliance gifting got me the 4th full tier5 basic.. then I got to pick from the 4 mystic champion that are rank2.. namely, Doom, Sorcerer Supreme, Claire Voyant, and Dragonman. Pick Doom even over the two other awaken champions.
That was evening Monday 27Dec2021.. but have not received Kabam message 'Congratulations on becoming Thronebreaker'.

You have to have an initial completion run of act 6 as well to unlock thronebreaker.

All of Act6? I just did the minimum to become cavalier.. I thought by getting a rank3 6* is enough to get 'Thronebreaker'.. it might take me some time to do Act6 chapters and chapters4.. just initial run... I just don't have the skill or patience to 100%.

There is another title 'Breaker of Thrones' what do you need to do to get that?

You don't need to do 100%. Just initial completion of Act 6, ie, one run through every quest of all chapters.

@psp742 all you have to do to get thronebreaker now is complete act 6. Breaker of thrones is the title for exploring act 6. Don’t bother with that for a long time, just complete act 6.

Sigh.. I really hate to do it but I guess I have to.. it would be awesome if I can rank3 another 6*.. closest tier5 class catalyst is skill.. got Falcon, Kingpin, and Moleman.

Don’t worry, you’ve got this! If you get stuck you can make a thread and I’m sure lots of people will try and help. Those are all great rank up options too

    Week 15
    Overview

Hello hello I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and you're enjoying the holidays! I had a very slow week up until the last couple of days due to Christmas, about 75% of this update will be the last couple of days :D

The first bit of news was, of course, the Christmas gift. As a player with a Thronebreaker account and a cavalier account I felt myself torn between bragging and complaining! More seriously though, I loved having this gift for the account, a 1-2 gem allowed me to R2 Colossus before I even had the inventory space to do so. ISO was a separate issue (he's still not levelled up fully).

I then hit the time necessary to be able to gift in your alliance, and having grinded some units from arena, I began gifting again to try and get those milestone points. Throughout this last week I've been gifting here and there, so I'll keep this section as the gifting section, rather than dipping in and out chronologically.

I opened 3 GGC's from the milestones, and managed to pull a 5* Nexus and some T6B (colossus R4 here I come). I opened the nexus anddd....

Yeah there wasn't much of a choice here, Apoc is a god and while he may not be ranked up any time soon, the ability to make Colossus a horseman is insanely useful as my main clearer.

Later in the week I opened a few more GGCs, while I got 2 lots of T2A (not super useful, since it tends to go into overflow), I pulled another 5* Nexus and had the following choices..

Again, a clear choice. I have a 5* cosmic gem, along with rank ups gems to pretty much get him straight to R5. The issue is ISO, and also I'm not sure how much I'd use him. I mean, we all know hype is great, but right now he doesn't bring anything to the table I need. Colossus covers so much, that I don't need hype as a main clearer. If later on in the challenge I feel that Hype could be useful, I'll rank him up for sure. But right now, I think it may be better to hold off.

I've mainly been trading revives and energy refills, I had been grinding units from back issues: classic quests, which has quite a lot of units to get, and by grinding arena. So whenever I got to 300 units, I found someone who needed a GGC and traded 6 revives and 2 energy refills. The refills funded more unit grinding and the revives stocked up. At one point I had 40-50 revives in overflow and 30 in inventory! They would otherwise have been units to stockpile for future, but with 6.3 and variants in mind plus the added bonus of gifting points, I thought it would be more useful to gift now.

I got to the end of the solo gifting milestone, which was great. A nice 3k 6* shard reward. As of now, my alliance is just past the second to last milestone. The last is 2x 10% selectors, but really, I hope we don't get it, and it's looking unlikely anyway. As I said last week, I don't want the reason I get TB to be the gifting event, so if I get any selectors from the rewards of gifting I will just select my lowest class and if that's the one I form first I'll wait until I'm X% higher - as if I never got the selector.

Next, some incursions! I realised I was only one 6* from unlocking sector 8, which meant that if I completed 6 and 7 top zone bonuses and upgraded before the room bonuses reset (two days from now), I could get sector 6, 7 and 8 top bonuses and then let it reset, and get 7 and 8 all within a week. All that meant, is the next 6* I opened needed to be a new champ. But that's jumping ahead, back to incursions. I completed sector 6 and 7, which got me enough 5* shards to open a crystal. I decided to open my first dual class crystal, and went for cosmic/tech. My cosmic class is lacking a little, and I wanted a crazy good champ to rank up

Close, but no cigar unfortunately. With a 4* already ranked up, and no need for him in act 6, I won't be ranking him - even if he is a really fun champ.

The 5k shards from the holiday calendar allowed me to open another 5* crystal, and I stuck to basics this time

Similar result to Aarkus tbh, cool champ but not really enough use to warrant ranking. He does have a couple cool synergies, and if I pulled a 6* sabretooth I would not be angry at all.

Now onto the juicy stuff, I feel like I keep saving the juicy bits to the end of the week, maybe it's the dramatic side of me.

There I was, a couple days ago, staring at the revives in my inventory. It kinda just played on my mind and it felt like a devil on my shoulder was just telling me to go into 6.3 even though Colossus was currently level 18 out of 35, guilly was level 17 out of 25 and Hawkeye hadn't been ranked up yet. I felt a little restless in my progress, and there were some shiny 6* shards and Cavs in the rewards. Plus, I had so many revives and may as well use them... right?

Anyway, I decided to push 6.3. ISO felt so slow that I will probably not have fully levelled up Colossus, hawkeye and Guilly for another couple of weeks. I also had an apoc now, and while he was rank 1, level 1, I had 15 L1 revives that I just decided to sacrifice 1 at the start of the quest and make Colossus a horseman. It would save me revives later on in the quest, I was sure of it.

    First up: 6.3.1 - Medusa
I took the biohazard path, which Colossus crushed, I was staggered by the numbers he was putting out. There was an annoying Hulk with pilfer, and a tricky mysterio but Colossus made it through with only 1 revive used. Next came the miniboss, an annoying black bolt with lifecycle, aggression regen and lionheart. I used Morningstar, let him build up a ton of buffs by spamming sp1 to knock him down and max out lifecycle timer, then I heavied and launched a huge sp2 which finished him off.

Onto the medusa boss, she'd been worrying me as I'm sure you know. She can definitely be a roadblock for a lot of people. But Guilly, my friends, despite the bad feeling I get because of her buff, destroys it. I cannot tell you how much easier this fight was than I expected. My tactic was to MLLLM while Medusa didn't have fury buffs, then heavy when she did. Try and get her to the corner, then when I am near an Sp2, trigger her autoblock and spam heavy when I can and use SP2.

That does a lot of bleed damage to tick her down, then I tried to trigger buffet as much as possible. In my first try I got her down to 30%, then took a laggy heavy attack. I tried with Hawkeye, but at the start of the match lost a bunch of health, making it hard to parry without losing too much health. I got a sp3 off with crit bleed, which ticked her down nicely, but honestly with Guilly's heal reversal - she is just a better option. I finished off Medusa with Guilly, and i felt the rest of 6.3 (up to Cap anyway) open up before me.

I don't want to take up loads of your time, so I won't go massively into detail on each quest. I'll just highlight moments.

    6.3.2 - Nick Fury
There was a caltrops lane that Colossus destroyed as a horseman. I popped mutant special boosts here, allowing for some crazy Special damage chains. No revives used on the path, and he soloed Nick with no issues whatsoever.

    6.3.3 - Havok
I went for the unblockable finale path, which horseman Colossus smoked using his Sp2 to skip the phase for the most part, the boost was still active from the previous quest. Joe Fixit can be annoying here, but it worked out well! I used Sorcerer for sparky, since he is an evade champ. Havok was a solo (not quite as smooth, I ended on 1%), the power gain got pretty crazy to the end and got a lucky 2 or 3 sp1 stun lock chain to finish him.

    6.3.4 - IMIW
I went for the left path, which had a lot of individual identity fights with different nodes. Colossus worked well for most of them, though there was an Abom to start with I needed Omega for and a Hulkbuster for whom I just had to revive through the shock damage. I got to the boss with my Torch pre fight ready though, and another solo was nice to see. Torch just smokes IMIW, and the last phase just didn't bother him at all, a couple power stings, some nova damage and Tony drops.

    6.3.5 - Mysterio
I was a little more worried here, we all know what a pain Mysterio is to fight at the best of times, let alone with falter, poison and power gain. I felt good about Torch, but I knew I wouldn't solo. I went the unblockable specials path, Emma and Iceman can be annoying but it's by far the best path to do. Howard the duck is definitely a tough fight with a mutant, since he reduces stun duration by quite a bit. But I managed the path with only a revive or two. My first attempt with Torch and pre fight took off about 50%, which I was definitely happy with. I revived and took torch in again, this time only 10%. As a courtesy, I threw Colossus in just to take off a little bit of health and surprisingly beat the rest of the fight. Turns out when you have 30k heavies, you can do some quite unsuitable fights.

    6.3.6 - Cap IW
I went the aggression fury/ counterstrike path which was straight forward except for a white mags I needed to fight with Colossus. Only a couple of revives needed.

I think I've finally understand why Cap is on these nodes, because he can in fact do this all day. After a 250 hit fight with Hawkeye and having taken off 10%, I decided that though he can do the fight, it doesn't mean he should. I think with the hercules synergy for the fury it would be a lot easier. I decided to do what I'll call the "Mysterio Tactic" and throw colossus at him. Colossus has a pretty dire crit rate, but his crit damage is crazy high so I just needed to get lucky with crits, and hopefully get some damage in. Wasting time during destructive feedback builds up aggression fury so you need to be careful. But I managed to time an Sp2 with a fury from my heavy and I got 2 crits, which took off a really nice chunk of health.

Not for the first time, feeling like Colossus was my saviour I eagerly dived back in with a revive. I'll skip the boring parts, but overall it took me maybe 7-10 revives, I wasn't really counting, but Colossus was a really great backup option.

And that concludes 6.3, only last week I had finished 6.2 and here I am. I can promise you I won't have done 6.4 by next week, so don't get your hopes up!

As for the rewards, here were the Cavs

I am actually super happy with that. Crit bleeds for Guilly is nothing to scoff at, and after her great performance for Medusa I am very impressed with her. Not that Purg will be ranked, but the synergy is great. The other 2 were 3*s.

The 5* Crystal is less useful... Yeah yeah I know Aegon is a beast but I'm not doing abyss, Colossus can easily itemless do a LoL path (which I am thinking about doing at some point) and I don't have sigs or a gem for Aegon.

Here is the Crème de la creamy though, the 6* Crystal. The reward for Colossus' my hard work. As we slowed down on the reel, it hops onto Heimdall seems for all the world to have stopped...

Hell of a pull, easily worth R3 as a TB rank up. That's one worthy champ of all classes except Cosmic and Science now! And Science even has Ghulk if needed. Monkey is also a Mercenary, so he's a godsend for Variant 8 which I'd otherwise be doing with Moonknight. I probably won't level him up anytime soon, since he doesn't cover any necessary bases for me just yet apart from the variant. Fantastic pull though. I got another cosmic 2-3 and a science 3-4 gem as well.

I got pretty unlucky with the last lot of side quest crystals, and got 3*s in all 5 (two Iron Patriots lol), but I was really happy to 100% the entire legendary all 4 weeks. Looking forward to next month!

The last thing I did this week was take my shiny new monkey into variant 8. I still had a lot of revives left, and I figured while I'm not hurting for revives I may as well complete it. I won't be levelling up Monkey any time soon and I'd rather do variant 8 completion and then never look at it again, as that will definitely not be one I 100%.

I don't really like variant 8 enough to go super into detail about what happened, but I finished completing it about 4 hours ago. The block damage was crazy all over, especially with a R1 L1 Monkey who has awful block proficiency. Overall it's not a totally awful piece of content (close), but I'm glad I did it while I have a lot of revives in overflow - feeling pressure to do well would just not be fun. I did every fight with Monkey and a synergy team with heimdall, I brought MK for Venompool at the end but couldn't get 10 debuffs consistently with him so stuck to the Monkey.

The rewards haven't full realised themselves yet! I'm currently 1.5k shards away from the next 6* crystal, which I'll be able to open in just over 24 hours time when the calendar gives us 2.5k. Fingers crossed for a good pull!

I was happy with the rest of it though, a mutant 4-5 will be going to Omega and a nice 5*.....

Now this one would have been a lot more interesting a few weeks ago before my sigs went to Omega (not that I'm disappointed, Omega has been super helpful already.) I have 50 cosmic gems, so unless I pull an Odin, Angela won't be much use to me yet. She's definitely nice to have though, and if some more sigs materialise, I'd be happy to rank her up.

And that brings to a close this weeks events!

    Notable Pulls
    5* Apocalypse
    5* Hyperion
    5* Aarkus
    5* Sasquatch
    5* Purgatory
    5* Aegon
    5* Angela
    6* Hit Monkey
(Just look at the quality of those champs, that is some crazy luck)

    Notable Rank ups
    Omega Red to Rank 4
    Colossus to Rank 2

    Content Completed
    Variant 8 Chapter 1-3 Completion
    Act 6.3 Completion
    Side Quest 100%

    Most Wanted Champions
We are now looking to the villain variant and 6.4 as my targets. I have one more chapter of the villain to go, and it's a tough one. I want Apoc ranked up before I go in, as he's perfect for a lane, additionally, I feel that the villain variant is likely going to be the one I 100% first, so getting a lot of villains for along the way will be super helpful. While my hero roster is stronger, they're limited to 2 classes per chapter so it's harder to 100%. Conversely, I can just get 5 strong villains and mostly wreck the exploration.

6.4 is the other target, I think Colossus will handle a lot of it, I'm pretty sure he can manage all bosses tbh just with how tanky and beastly he is. But getting some help will be nice.

Skill: Kingpin- I really want to try him out a bit, still don't have him on my main as a 6*. Plus as a villain he's perfect for the variant.

Science: Mr Fantastic - Same reason as before, his pre fights are fantastic (get it?).

Mystic: Hood- I'd quite like to mess around with him, I think he has some potential and clearly great buff control. Also a villain for the variant.

Cosmic: Odin - both as a standalone and for Angela, I really want to test out Odin and he'd be great for the longer Act 6 fights. Terrax is a close second with his armour breaks for the variant

Tech: Punisher 2099- Super fun champ, needs a bit more love. Great power control and great potential for the villain variant.

Mutant: Emma Frost- Mainly want her for the colossus synergy to be honest, also White mags seems to never want to join my roster, so I'm angry with him and don't want him as a most wanted champ anymore. If he wants forgiveness he can show up in a crystal.

    T5CC Tracker

Not really much has changed since last week, only a couple more 2%ers. Hit 10% on mystic though which is cool!

    Plan for Next Week

I don't have a lot planned to be honest. I will grind a little more arena to build up revives through gifting, I also need to find some more place for ISO. It's so hard to get honestly, especially when all 4* Crystals end up as new champs due to the roster being pretty incomplete. I'll do a sector 8 incursion run tomorrow or the day after to get those shards and artefacts. I will definitely have a 6* to open, and a few 5*s. But I doubt I'll be doing much content apart from UC and Cav which will drop next Wednesday I assume.

At the end of Week 15, this is what the roster looks like

    Yay for r2 colossus.

What do you mean easy choice? VTD is an incursion monster.

Colossus is just showing that damage is the best utility. As much as I love a controlled fight, going ham with champs like CMM, Nick, colossus is always fun. There's a solo of 6.3.6 CAIW with colossus on YT.

What stopped you from using colossus for sparky? I think you've mentioned his invisible stun on heavies that won't let enemies evade.

Anyhoo waiting for you to complete 6.4 next week. I know you said you won't but the drive is so addictive. I remember being stuck on 6.3 for a month or too and then just blitzing through the rest in a week

    Bruh I don't even have a 5* apoc yet :(

also wow ur 6* luck luck in general is so good

I know I’m still waiting for this good luck streak to end, where’s my 6* groot? It’s got to be on it’s way!

Maybe an incursions monster but have you used Col in there? He’s nuts!

I think the thing here is that Col is such a good lane clearer, I mean every quest there’s at least one lane he can just mow down. The damage is crazy enough to get a lot of stuff down in one or two revives, but he’s not usually the specific champ to bring to guarantee a solo for a more niche fight.

Because of the node that makes them go unblockable at 25%, it means I couldn’t parry heavy. But yes, colossus is great for evade champs you can stun/parry due to that invisible stun.

I will definitely wait to have a few more champs ranked and a few more revives stock piled for 6.4. Plus, I’ll probably go for a villain variant completion first, and I’d also kinda like a 6.4 Darkhawk counter before I go in. Aarkus could do it but I don’t want to rank for just that fight. Colossus is my best shout at the moment.

There are some tough paths in 6.4, and I want to make sure I’m ready.

Iso/gold shortages always seem worse than being low on resources 😕 I know you’re focusing on act 6* and need 5/6* but it might not be a bad idea to use your artifacts on some 4* crystals. Congrats on the great pulls and clearing 6.3!

Congrats on the progress, now you are exactly where I am in story, although I've been playing for 8 months. I have yet to start 6.4 because I don't have any coldsnap immune for Iceman. Anything I should be wary of in the chapter? Do I need some boss counters?

You know, I have been considering using artefacts for 4* Crystals, but I just know that the next account changer could be around the corner. I think for now I'll stick with crystals, round out my roster a little more and then when I have a bit more depth, then focus on 4* crystals for ISO

Also, won't torch work for darkhawk? Ig the block damage might be a bit much

He has lionheart so I can't reverse his healing without taking a ton of damage. I believe pre fight gets around it, but it's a lot of pressure for a 4/55 champ to take. Maybe if torch is R5 when I get there I'll reconsider. I guess Colossus could finish off the fight too with some revives

So you're on 6.2? Best thing I can do is suggest a team for each quest if you post your roster. I can suggest a good path to go, and suggest which champs you would bring to have an easier time :)

    This made me laugh ngl.

If I'm honest, just grind out some revives and plough through it. If my run has proved anything it's that preparation with items can cover a whole host of issues you may have with counters. Grab a high crit rate champ/crit damage champ and go at him, the health pool isn't that high.
