War bug; duplicates of the same champ on defense and 53 defenders total

I don’t know if anyone can explain this. We’ve just started war and our opponent doesn’t seem to have full diversity, which is unheard of at the top of tier 2. On closer inspection the three duplicates are the same champion from the same player. There are still 50 defenders. Can anyone explain this? Never seen anything like it.

Does anyone know how to get the duplicate defender to register on the map when placing/shuffling?

Our war is posted above and it worked against us that time, so want to make sure, if it continues, that we can have duplicates on every node too.

Kabam has addressed that, saying if any alliance does purposely know and abuse any such discovered method to be able to get duplicates of their defenders, action will be taken against such alliances similar to other CHEATING consequences.

If we keep facing over 100 defenders in 2 BGs, say some extra r3 korgs, bishops, mojos, dominos and nicks in t4 wars, do we just report them?

Do we report the alliance above?

How do we get compensated for the extra pots/boosts/deaths to get through those defenders?

My point here, is if you can't beat them, join them.... Because I am guessing that nearly all of the alliances with duplicates will not have any downside, whereas we who don't, face one in every war....
