This is a slap in the face to anyone who bought Blade crystals, which I didn't, because he had lots of health. I'm expecting RDTs in my inventory ASAP and a full refund Kabam. Do better.

I'm gunna stop you right there. There probably goin to be no RDTs, this has already been acknowledged and is going to be fixed. Mistakes happen and it wasn't an intentional nerf. Why would they give RTDs to a champ they who they are correcting their attack and increasing it to their normal value?

You really shouldn't be worried about Blade's health pool. The best way to use him is to run him under 50% with max courage because of his crazy regen ability. There's many more reasons not to use him anymore other than his health pool.

I've always wondered his regen caps at 71% specifically. Seems like such a weird number. 75 or 80 would make more sense.

It stops working above 70%. Because he regens in discrete steps the last step is almost guaranteed to take him far enough above the cutoff to be displayed as 71%.

Because as random of a number as it is, 71% is perfectly sustainable throughout the quest plus with willpower and other non damaging debuffs more commonplace in the Meta, he'll heal up nicely and they can live with that.

Outdated champ = outdated damage. Powercreeping happens to all champs. Per say CAPIW who is still a solid champ get's out damaged and out done by the utility of so many other science champs. Blade was never meant to be a high damage champ, just a sustainable one

the post is about the attack scaling inconsistency. If you think the blade is outdated you don't understand the game at all. It's still one of the best regenerating champions in the game, it still handles debuffs very well, it's still the answer to a lot of troubled defenders.
In a more competitive level of alliance war, security is the most prioritized aspect to do the fights, security is exactly what the blade delivers, the damage it does is enough, it has an above average damage if you consider the amount of utility it brings to the game.
On top of that, he still has extremely high prestige and is a very strong defender.
It's 2022 and Blade is still one of the most complete champions in the game, he's just not the best in the game as he was for a long time, but for me, considering all these aspects, he's in the top 10 in the game without a doubt .
If you reread my post you'll see I mentioned "Blade was never meant to be a high damage champ, just a sustainable one". I'm quite confident with the game, having completed or explored major content and consistently performing well in a multiple times Platinum alliance. Even going as far to beating YOUR alliance in war in a previous season and scoring MVP in that war. Blade isn't a very strong defender like you stated and his damage being above average although true, doesn't make him a good champ (He is in the 50th percentile for most of his stats making him average at best across all stats). War doesn't look for above average, they look for the best. 21/39 in prestige for a 5* skill and only 10/36 for skill 6* champion. 67 overall in prestige. which makes him quite a mediocre champ to rank for prestige. You've got me balling that he's a top 10 champ without a doubt. You'll never see him banned in war or battlegrounds, you never see him as a top option for any path in act 7 and his kit is outdated in the current meta of the contest. Even post buff blade hit's like a wet noodle and his only running argument is his regen which can be circumvented with champions and synergies that don't require you to regen for sustainability (ex guardian synergy) or the ability to shrug debuffs quickly which is better refined in champs like Kingpin. Along with this, #dimesional-beings had no new additions until CGR entered the contest so he doesn't address many hard matchups and his reliance on being awakening and sigged makes him a poor investment. Simply put he is a very power crept champ and the same applies to any of the 3 champs in the trinity team. They had their day and age and now it's time to put them to rest in an average tier until they become deserving of a value improvement. Get over your bias and fingers crossed you have a chance in the next war matchmaker we have :)

I thought karate Mike put on a great video showing how reliable and sustainable blade was in the current meta. But I definitely agree that people tend to focus on high damage output without considering all the other possibilities which is really just scratching the surface.

He has remained one of the most sustainable champs in the game but with revive farming and heal farming being so simple nowadays who honestly cares for sustainability outside of war. There are plenty of champs that do it better and with the current attack ratings a combo to the face will kill you in most difficult matchups. It's no longer act 4 where your health just wittles down slowly and the regen is nice to have
