No one said I'm satisfied with everything. It was a good buff, and the complaints I saw were fewer and farther between. I'm sorry, but I disagree that it was mediocre.
I don't know how many times I can say it, but making end-game Players happy isn't the sole objective of these.
We’re asking for just one champion that is reasonably usable in end game content. Nobody is saying every single one should.
There hasn’t been a single buff this year that makes end game players happy, because so far they’re aimed at lower players. That’s fine for some, even the majority. But the issue is that this new program isn’t being as brave or pushing the boat out and having *any* buffs that are aimed at higher players. If that’s going to be the case, I’d rather kabam come out and say it - rather than my hopes getting consistently dashed month after month.
I don't really understand the idea of aiming buffs at lower players. Lower players want good champs, just like end game players. The idea that they might not get everything out of them at first is irrelevant. Players find out very quickly which champs are good and which champs aren't. As far as I can tell the new buff program is working from an ill conceived idea, which is guaranteed to keep older bad champs bad. RIP Groot.

It actually does make sense to aim buff at less skilled players, where most of new players would most likely be. Imo it only means that the outcome champ should be easy to use. Like x23, rulk or falcon. They can be niche, like falcon, no need to do everything. Saying that buffing a champ poorly means the champ is targeted on lower players to me seems a little offensive towards those players. The only thing changed about dpxf is you have to adjust to his new animations. Because almost always one will prefer x* x23 (and many other champs) over (x+1)* dpxf when one may have only few (x+1)* champs. As you get more champs, dpxf will be forgotten at r1, because 90% of champs available are just better. Therefore, that buff is waste of time
Just.. can't let this thread die. Deadpool needs a retune, again. It needn't even be grand. Just a couple minor tweaks and he's actually a good champion.
She has decent damage, but recycled utility really. Compare her to the quality of the previous program and she’s pretty low. She’s decent for act 5, and occasional uses later on but she’s nothing special.
We are not asking for mediocre champs, we are asking for an occasional champion to come along that causes excitement. Not every champ to be OP, not all to be god tier. One to come along every so often that’s a Diablo, Ultron, Falcon. One that makes the buff program feel it’s for all of the player base, not just mid-low tier players.
I can’t really be bothered too much to continue this debate. I’ve made my point I’m gonna leave it here.
I'm hoping they don't take the current uptick in usage as an approval of the update. I was actually considering ranking him up out of boredom, expiring resources, already having the dupe, and enjoying his animations. Luckily I had a Fury, so I shrugged that foolishness off after 0.5 seconds.

Easily one of the best reworks they've ever released, imo. Both in terms of damage output & utility.
Completely within your rights to disagree. To me, she has nothing new and what she does have, other champs do it better. I think she’s lacking in useful utility personally.
Her utility is a passive stun that Storm X already does, apoc, bishop, Wags, archangel, Omega red already counter too shrug off too. Nice to have? I guess, but nothing close to unique or special.
Stuff like buffed up doesn’t count as utility, it’s extremely rare, and there are far too many champs who can counter it for it to count as utility anymore.
She then has immunities, shock is nice, incinerate and coldsnap need a synergy, bleed needs horseman, poison needs full ramp X. I don’t think it’s super realistic. Again, nice to have if there’s ever a situation where you need multiple immunities but really the main ones are hazard shift. She can do bleed/shock ok ish, but can’t do poison incinerate, since you can’t have prof X ramped.
Besides, I don’t think there are that many situations in game where you need multiple immunities like that. Most of the time it’s a case of choose your best champion with the one or maybe two immunities you need. How do you choose between the champs? What other abilities they have. When it’s 1 immunity, there’s a myriad of better champs than Storm for that immunity. When it’s 2, occasionally she will be useful sure. But even most of them have better champs to counter a double immunity matchup.
Storm doesn’t have much else going for her, and requires building a team around her. What this is good for, is newer players who don’t have as much depth. Later players don’t need a “one size fits all” type champ, because they have separate champs who can solve all those issues individually.
A new player sees a shock/poison match and thinks “I’ll use my Storm and build a mutant team around her”, a later player chooses Diablo or nebula both of whom have extra utility to bring to the table. A new player sees bleed/incinerate and thinks “I’ll bring my storm with synergy and horseman”, a later player brings CGR or Apoc who are both better than storm.
I find it hard to accept she’s one of the best released when you compare it with the top buffs. Diablo, Magneto, Kingpin, Moleman. I don’t think storm is in the same league as those.
Essentially, she’s a jack of all trades master of none with her immunities, and a recycled utility added in. Hard to argue that’s one of the best reworks.
@BitterSteel building a specific team around a champion is absolutely not intended for newer players. It's for larger accounts with full rosters that actually have the capabilities of doing so.
New players aren't necessarily rolling into Act 5 with their Apocalypse/Cable & professor X prepared to juice her up.
She has a large assortment of utility - just because it isn't "new" or "groundbreaking" utility, doesn't take away from the impact that she can have across the game -
Shock for thunderstruk Multiple debuffs for diss track & other nodes where debuffs are needed Buffs for not only buffed up - but other nodes where multiple buffs are needed Prowess for special connoisseur Passive stun to counter skill champions who shrug Native shock immunity for hazard shift/EMP modification Additional coldsnap/incin immunity making her a quick clap wherever there are damaging debuffs
On top of all of that, her shock DOT as a horseman which was previously the highest DOT in the game was actually increased with her new sig ability - while also now being capable of some of the highest special damage in the game with no specific loop or rotation required, meaning she isn't handicapped by nodes that require a specific playstyle.
Personally, I'd definitely place her up there with Diablo, Magneto, Kingpin, & Moleman as some of the best reworks released - and I use her just as much as those four, and is one of my favorite Rank 3's.
Totally cool if you don't like her - but she definitely isn't only decent for Act 5 content lol
BUT, this thread was about Deadpool - not Storm haha Not a fan of that one, unfortunately... would love to see a tune-up. Yondu's a pretty good budget Nimrod for smaller accounts though.
Nobody has ever said they need to be. This sentence is repeated so many times it’s just a go-to line by anyone who hasn’t read the points being made properly.
Nobody has said every champ needs to be god tier. What we are saying is that so far the buff program has been pretty uninspired from an end game perspective, this could be about DPXF, Yondu, Mordo, Psycho man or any of the other pretty uninspired buffs. I don’t know why it’s centred around DP, maybe because he’s a beloved character, been a meme since day 1, and he’s been hyped for a few months since kabam announced he was getting a buff. This is not just about him, this is about the buff program providing something for everyone. It’s handling mid-low tier players well, why not end game?
I read the points made; making assumptions like you have done makes you sound kind of foolish and somewhat aggressive. What you have produced is an ad hominem argument; suggesting that you cannot hold a sustained reasoned argument. This may or may not be true.
I definitely read the points made, reading is a passion of mine, it's why I teach English in a secondary school. I presented my own points, and I respectfully suggest you are wrong, there is a clear demand for 'endgame' champs by petulant forum users. When compared to champs that cannot be used endgame these disputed/wanted buffed champs are then placed somewhere in the order of God Tier. This thread is actually about wanting them more powerful, suggesting they are not at their greatest potential or usefulness. In that way it seems to me that the thread is about making champs god tier, or thereabout.
Really, man, you need to calm down a bit, get a grip, and go do something that is actually fun for you. Huffing and puffing on the forums is not good for one's soul. You almost present as a type of troll, imo. I was happy with Yondu before the buff, stoked with DPX now at 'clown tier'. My opinion is valid, despite your sweeping assumptions.
"NOBODY has EVER said" is a great indication of how wrong you are. There is no possible way that you are aware of what every single forum user has ever said or not said.
Making champs more powerful is the main sticking point for the buff program, it's the main complaint when a buffed champ is released. The term 'God Tier' is just one way of referring to this type of idea.
@BitterSteel building a specific team around a champion is absolutely not intended for newer players. It's for larger accounts with full rosters that actually have the capabilities of doing so.

To be honest @Karatemike415 So far Storm was the best buff this year she was quite all right with synergies but now she's a powerhouse on her own but synergies take her to next level.😁
I thought DP would at least show up to be a strong option for the 3.1 EQ…still nowhere close to the top on that one either lol Between Yondu and DPX Yondu was still finishing way faster for me lol

I disagree that building a team isn’t for newer players. If a newer player has Storm 4* and a storm X, they’ve got 3 immunities right there. If they get a 4* Apoc, they’ve got bleed as well. Perhaps a full Prof X mutant team for poison resistance is a little much too, but I don’t see how 3 4* champs is too much for a new player to use together.
Shock for thunderstruk thunderstruck is an incredibly rare node, only in 4 quests in the game Multiple debuffs for diss track & other nodes where debuffs are needed diss track is in 2 quests in the game, useful for AQ where it is I guess, but as with buffed up, there are so many champs in the game that can do it, it just makes her one of many. Whittle down, the other sort of diss track node is in 1 quest. (I’m not asking this as a gotcha, but can you think of any other nodes where debuffs count as utility?) Buffs for not only buffed up - but other nodes where multiple buffs are needed buffed up is in 2 quests, pumping iron in 1. Again, kinda useful for AQ Prowess for special connoisseur in 5 quests, rare but useful when it comes along Passive stun to counter skill champions who shrug as I’ve said in my last post, multiple other mutants handle that. Nice to have, but recycled. Native shock immunity for hazard shift/EMP modification Additional coldsnap/incin immunity making her a quick clap wherever there are damaging debuffs yep, agreed with you on the immunities. However my point still stands about how unless its special connoisseur AND shock/incinerate, there are just far, far better options
You essentially need a very specific set of nodes for Storm to be one of *the* options. Rather than just an ok option. Luckily, that seems to be the way the game is heading with act7 and 8, which is why Storm will be usable in those pieces of content.
I agree with you that she’s not only useful for act 5, and never said that. I said occasional uses afterwards, referring to Special Connoisseur, thunderstruck, buffed up and the sort of rare nodes that it’s nice to have a specific champ for. But not one that you use all over the place unless you like her. You like her and that’s cool! I’m glad you do. Speaking from an objective place, I don’t find her utility as useful as you do. I appreciate you’re a very positive guy when it comes to new champs though, and you do always look for the benefits of them in your new vids.

Riddance, TrapKill
If you read the points why were you saying that not every champ needs to be god tier? Because I’ve followed this thread from the start and I didn’t spot any. When I say “nobody ever said” I mean it, it is my understanding that in this thread, nobody has said can we have all champs be god tier? If you think I’m wrong, please prove me wrong! Find me an example of someone asking for that and I’ll apologise and admit I’m wrong on that point.
“…makes you sound kind of foolish and somewhat aggressive. What you have produced is an ad hominem argument; suggesting that you cannot hold a sustained reasoned argument.”
Just a quick question on this, do you get the irony here? Using an ad hom attack, while in the next sentence saying that the use of an ad hom attack suggests one cannot hold a sustained reasoned argument? Along with “petulant”, “calm down”, “stop huffing on the forum”, “you’re some kind of troll”, “get a grip” etc. It’s almost like you could conclude that by peppering your post with ad hom attacks, you can’t sustain a reasoned argument.
“This thread is actually about wanting them more powerful, suggesting they are not at their greatest potential or usefulness. In that way it seems to me that the thread is about making champs god tier, or thereabout.” Despite your claimed love of reading, this proves you still haven’t quite got the point. But I’m happy to explain it again for you.
We do not want *every* champ to be aimed at end game players. We would be please to see *some* champs aimed at end game players. That could be one every few months, a few a year. A small percentage of the buffs being for end game is fine, but month after month of the new program has been disappointing to me, and I’m giving my feedback, then some people read this feedback of me asking for *some* buffs to be for end game players, and they say “Not every buff can be end game/god tier” or whatever you want to say. And it just blatantly misses the point.
It’s like a kid asking for a hot meal, and you saying “well sonny, not *every* meal can be a hot meal”. Doesn’t really address the kid’s problem does it?
What exactly did I say that warranted my comment being deleted🙄 u mods better chill out 😒
It doesn't bother me (much) that they keep deleting posts, but some comment that they're really taking in what people are saying along with deleting would be much better.
