Ok Skill isnt the worst class, it's...

Skill get a title for the worst class in the game but looking at the champions they all are average or great, maybe years before buffs they were trash but nowhere near trash now. However I want to give that title to Science.
Now you might be thinking, "wow this guy is an idiot" but Science is full of ok and some good champions but mainly the top champions are out dated like quake, thing, and maybe void. And with the newly buffed skills like Kingpin, Falcon, and Karnak, with Pre-existing great champs like Shang Chi, Nick, Ægon, Taskmaster, and Blade. The Science does have its greats but it is IM Ibom, IHulk, Spidey 2099, and HT. And it's buffs consist of YJ, She Hulk and some others.
Now let's talk worst in the class' we have Moon Knight, Black Widow OG, and Black Panther CW, etc. And Science has Sentry, OG Caps, Spiderman, Antman, Apomination, Hulk, etc. It's just a bit more that have way less utility and overall uselessness
So agree or disagree my opinion is Science is now the worst class with arguably less useful champions than Skill

I ranked all 228 champs in the game once cause I have no life and as I went from the #1 spot down, the mystic class was the last class to get to ten champs as I went down the line if that makes sense. Of course this isn’t hard evidence to say Mystic is the worst but it helps to support my belief, even though the champ ranking was my personal opinion
Instead Ive begun thinking of how often a class makes it onto my squad and what reasons they have for being there.
Starting off with some easy ones we have mutant and cosmic. For obvious reasons these two classes are easily added onto a team. Large DPS, immunities, utility, and broken abilities galore. They have a lot going on and no one reason in particular seems to be why their class, in general, fairs so well. I propose that its because you generally need a reason NOT to bring them onto a team. These champions are no-brainer choices who simply tear lanes apart absent hard counters or nodes which were designed to stop them. You dont need a reason to bring them- you need one to stop you. They are brute force classes who have no problems solving a lot of issues just by killing it too fast for it to matter which means they often can fill the roles they werent designed for.
Science will come next in my ranking. Thanks to standouts like IHulk, fantastic, torch, negative, overseer, IBom etc their class has come more into the limelight. They can help deal with a lot of problems, have immunities limited to mostly science champions and can be a strong supportive class. As more champions come out they have started to become more viable and solve a lot of general problems. Additionally, in act 7, a lot of nodes which target the science class ACTUALLY BENEFIT A LOT OF THE SCIENCE CHAMPIONS. Since most of them revolve around “place debuffs” a ton of science champions can be viable act 7 candidates. This is increasingly important as I rank the next two classes.
Tech falls ever so slightly behind science for two reasons: 1- their counters come from one of the strongest and most frequently used class of defenders- cosmic. We all know the pain of a well placed annihlus and a tech champion cannot deal with class disadvantage due to a combination of their already lacking attack and having most abilities simply not work against their opposing class. The second reason is that the main problem they solve is usually that of heal block thanks to being made to counter mutants. Generally speaking though its likely a much better idea to just bring in a brute force champion from the DPS classes or a much better heal reverser from the science because, let’s face it, killing mutants just isnt that hard. It feels like their niche was infringed on by classes who simply “wore it better”. Generally speaking their DPS is also PAINFULLY lacking. Im not blind to standouts like nimrod and omega sentinel who both frequent my teams but, generally, even if the nodes favor tech champions, they simply dont have the DPS to make them considerable over someone who could just hit them hard. They also are a juggler class who have some of the most stressful rotations to get any sort of meaningful damage by keeping debuffs up.
Next will be mystic. They suffer HEAVILY from matchup dependency but they still make my team more often than the next class because when I need a mystic they are likely the best option for the job. They are a bit of a fragile class but, against cosmics (a very frequent defensive class) they usually handle it well. This “cosmic killer role” kind of plays into an idea from the next section though.
Finally we have skill. There is one big problem I have with this class: i feel like i need to be explicitly GIVEN a reason to ever bring them onto the team. If the lane doesn’t have a node which boosts their class specifically there is likely no reason to bring them over someone else at all. Ever. On its face that may seem like im preferential to mystic who only makes it if i need to kill cosmics but the way nodes have panned out have made them a last resort class for me. While most mystics can handle most cosmics, the nodes which boost skill champions center around either bleed (which is good for the class) or disorient and shock (which eliminates something like 7/8 of the class from being used). I didnt need another reason to bring Fury, mole man or BWDO. They are already people I wouldnt mind using. The problem is that the lanes that help out the class rarely feel like they’d actually be useful for most of them. In fact, a lot of times in the case of bleed vulnerability ill just bring a mutant instead. The skill class (save for fury) simply does not make my team if Im not told by the lane that I should be bringing them and, to me, thats a bad class
That just leaves Mutant as "not worst". The way I see it, these disparate views basically confirm that it's all down to personal preference and the only thing we can all seemingly agree on is that Mutant is the best class in the game.
Max as always enlightening us all
The science class has one of the best good:bad ratios in the game. In terms of true duds there’s only Cap x2, Spidey, Rhino, Antman. Abom is a best with RG synergy, even Gulk has his uses. You could put Sentry and IW in the did category but they can both hit like trucks if used correctly.
Skill has both more duds but the none-duds aren’t as useful as their science equivalents for the most part.
There’s no definitive answer to this as it’s all subjective but if I had a blank roster and you gave me a class nexus I’d probably pick Science or Mystic right now.
