You could say that. But if this person earns >10.000 a day. The money he spends on this game would be equal to a nice little treat at the end of our workday. I am actually happy he feels the need to buy everything for his account. Because of players like him I can enjoy this game add free and without spending money.

Agreed. It still puzzles me that people still make comments like this about other people's spending habits. Why is it in addiction to spend like this...is it because it's a mobile game?

It all comes down to personal preference. I enjoy spending for the experience versus another toy. If you earn your money making an honest living, spend how you choose

It's not fair to make thar assessment based on how much someone spends. Addiction is a disease that has nothing to do with the consequences. That's actually one of the symptoms of the disease, the inability to stop regardless of consequences.
It's not possible to make that judgment because we don't know how much money someone has at their disposal, and how much it affects them. Many people have more than enough money to drop 50k on the game and not even blink. Perhaps not many in the circle of this game, but life is a somewhat larger circle. Lol.

No less normal than spending millions on cars you'll never drive.

Hundreds on gold leaf steaks that are mediocre tasting.

Hundreds of thousands on Pokemon cards.

Thousands on wine you'll never drink.

The person is spending their money the way they want. People with money but "not normal" stuff all the time but people like us who don't have that kind of money can't.

The things going around line are truly barmy but this dude is keeping the lights on and at the end of the day it’s his money.

Wouldn’t mind seeing the opening though, from what I’ve seen it equates to something like 13k GBC so I assume he got his butler to open them.

If he’s at the top of his field he could well be earning this sort of money and more on a weekly basis. Look at the premier league, they all earn this every week and that’s not the highest earning field in the world by a stretch. Regular people drop £500+ in a week during BF/4th July which is probably close to a lot of people’s take home for a week of work and they don’t get judged.

It’s all relative.

He might be doing what you call a fortune within a week or maybe even less, money value is different from a person to another. It's about percentage if you spend 50% of your salary on the game that's alot, but what he spent might be 5% of his income so that's nothing

Let me jump in, if you don't mind. You own the experience. I spend on this game for the experience; which, again, matters more to me than another toy.

So what does one do when they have all of the toys they want, maybe, spend on experiences? At least, this is what I do.

There isn't that big of a difference. Whether you own something outright or not. People spend 5k plus on Superbowl tickets but you don't get anything but to watch football. it's about spending money on what you enjoy.
