@Kabam Jax Some of these side quest objectives only give relic resources, so how are they not replacing normal resources? Like I've skipped a bunch of objectives because I don't care about relics, and had no incentive to complete them because they'd give me nothing else of value.
Anyways, I'm also on the side of "relics are taking up a lot of space and there's next to no benefit from using even the 5* ones so why bother"
If what you are saying is also correct, then my deduction was right, and we are getting the same or less rewards than before for more effort
You aren't accounting for the fact that when they do things like add new difficulty tiers targeting higher progress players, the reward budget itself changes. That's part of why it takes longer than players expect to add new difficulty tiers. It isn't just a question of adding another tab on the screen and bumping up the attack values. The rewards have to come from somewhere: they aren't just made up. An economy designer must budget for them before those things can be added. And the economy designer makes decisions like "you can add T4/T5 materials for these guys" but "you can't add any more units overall." It is those decisions that end up determining where more rewards show up, and which rewards aren't scaled up.
We are obviously earning way more rewards than we used to long ago. A lot of people think that's because the rewards got "dated" and of course should just go up, just because. But that's not what happens. Economy designers update the overall game economy periodically to account for global changes to the game: increases in content, additional progression tiers, etc. And when the game economy as a whole is updated, that's what creates room for those reward increases. The game doesn't increase rewards to change the economy. The economy is increased to make room for more rewards. And until it does, those rewards cannot increase or inflate no matter how "dated" players think they are.
Nobody wants relics. Nobody wants to see them. Why are kabam so hell bent on adding relics rewards and content every month? Nobody is interested in them. Who are you wasting time developing these for and doing calculations on the relic shards and embers economy for. Its just so weird to see how you guys really really want people to get used and relics and I bet the vast majority are just ignoring them. The solo objectives are dogwater whenever relics are involved. How many people entirely skip them? Jesus Christ kabam, read the room
I'll bet more players currently use relics than have stepped foot in the Abyss. If nobody cares about Relics, less than nobody cares about endgame content.
I donβt mind relics. Theyβve got a place in the game and thatβs not changing any time soon. I quite like how they can sneak an extra combo in, for someone like Ronan or another champion with a stunning special that can be very useful.
Their impact in terms of what each Relic can do will undoubtedly grow as time goes on and as we can rank them up properly, at the moment ranking them seems to be fairly F2P at least.
My only real problem with them is that they impact prestige, which means that anyone who does take the game seriously, or at least does 555x5 has to take them into account. Iβm now 16.2k prestige which is around top 90 AQ at the moment, but that figure is boosted by over 500 from relics, of which I have 3 R2 4*, 2 R1 5* Relic, which means that everyone around me has to pay attention to them too or their placement will fall through the floor.

I already thought about this and sayed something after what you quoted.
If you need more bugdet you have to wait, and thats it, if you are going to bring another difficulty harder than the ones that are already in the game, then bring EQUIVALENT rewards.
And no, the objective rewards are not in the quest itself:
LVL3 VS LVL4 VS LVL 5
T4B: 4 VS 8 T1A: 4 VS 8 T4C: 4 VS 12 Selector 4 T4C 50% Selector vs 16 1% T5C vs 25% T5C Selector 20 5* Sig Crystals vs 40 5* Sig Stones 16 5* Sig Stones vs 4 6* Sig Stones vs 24 6* Sig Stones T5B: 6800 VS 81000 vs 135000 T2A: 36000 VS 108000 vs 144000 5* Shards: 18000 vs 15000 (Yeah, lvl 4 gives less) 6* Shards: 2500 vs 9000 vs 15000 Relics: 1100 3* Relic vs (1600 3* Relic and 200 4* Relics) vs (4000 3* Relic and 3000 4* Relic) Theme Cav Crystal shards: 8000 vs 7000 vs 7000 (yeah, again lvl 4 and lvl 5 give less) Gold: 900k vs 1200k vs 2000k
ONLY LVL 3: And finally LVL 3 gives 12 T5 Basic ISO instead of the 4* Relic shards ONLY LVL 5: Gives 9000 T3A and 11400 T6B ONLY LVL 5: Tier 2 Basic Alloy Fragments and Tier 3 Basic Alloy Fragments
So as we can see: Lvl 4 and Lvl 5 get no ISO Lvl 5 gets no 5* either Lvl 4 and Lvl 5 get less Theme Cav shards Lvl 3 and 4 dont get R4 materials because they are getting T1A and T4B with T2A and T5B, Lvl 5 gets T2A and T5B with T3A and T6B.
And now we go on the objectives:
Basically Lvl 3 has ISO as a reward, which Lvl 4 and LVL5 dont have. Being the ISO one of the main resources needed right now at the game because of the lack of it.
All Lvl 3, 4 and 5 get no Theme Cav shards, which Lvl 1 and 2 get, just wanted to point it even we didnt talk about those levels before (But if you look at the equivalent rewards they have the same equivalency as Lvl 3)
Now, Lvl 3 and 4 get 5* AGC and AG; so, what you get in Lvl 5? You get a 6 AGC? Nope? Nah, you get another 250 5* Relic Shards. You stated that the objective rewards are redistributed into SQ right? So, where is the equivalent to that 5* Awakening Gem?
So overall, not only we have worse objective rewards since Jax stated that Relic have lower impact in game, which I am completely agree, but we have also worse rewards on the SQ aswell, because we lack rewards that are not equivalent in Lvl 5 and are replaced by more Relic stuff.
And dont forget to mention that you get less Theme Cav Shards and less 5* Shards for example, what affects the harder difficulties.
And to make this more clear, I dont want to hear that the rewards are different so we cant compare, because here is an example of what we are getting.
Lvl 3 is a 50kg Child Lvl 4 is a 70kg Young Adult Lvl 5 is a 90kg Hard working Adult
First one is getting 200g of chicken and half a cup of rice with a glass of water Second one is getting 350g of chicken and some soup with a glass of water Third one is getting 2 eggs, 100g of pasta and can of tuna
This is basically what we get, you can state that we get "more" or "different" things, but overall we are getting less in % than the rest of difficulties, because the overall value of what we get is less in comparison of what lower levels get.
So basically, nope, we are not getting the same or more, we are getting less for harder content.
